Good Morning Everyone,
Up early and its just daylight dry but cloudy start here in brackley and no doubt cold outside .
Today , will stay in as this cold air seems not to help my situation health wise .
Yesterday I struggled with the cold air which effects my walking pace etc , looking forward to milder but dryer weather hopefully soon.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a cloudy Bristol. It’s still chilly, but doesn’t seem to have that biting wind from yesterday.
We had almost three times the normal number at church coffee yesterday. I wonder why. But it went well.
I dined at DD’s before we went to see DGD in her school musical. I was not looking forward to it; 2 hours of inane singing? To my delight, the musical “Seussical” (not an inspiring title!) was charming if totally bonkers. The actors/singers were amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Palm Sunday today. I don’t really know how this church celebrates it. DD has over two hours of processing and prayers between her churches.
Blessings to you all on this holy Sunday. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning, s somerset will be sunny and windy with rain tonight

I am going to sit in the sun inside as much as possible, I love doing that, with something nice to read or radio and knitting

Have a good day

I’m another earlybird Mick - just popped the kettle on ☕️and checked the weather, dry for my stroll to the next village a paper. I surprised a little 🐰 yesterday and paused to see cute newborn lambs bleating and frolicking in nearby fields. Spring is such an uplifting season for me, full of hope and renewal 🙂

I intend doing very little other than eating and reading today as I have a busy week socialising ahead so will have a restful day 😇.

Have a peaceful Sunday everyone and 💐for those with worries x

Good morning from a chilly Torbay although at least it might not rain today ……!

Yes, Mick, staying in the warmth of your home is wise on cold days. A few of us do less well with walking on chilly mornings. Roll on warmer days!

Yesterday, I finally went to the Car Wash (some of you will remember the “gifts” from the gulls!) where I was the only customer so had the undivided attention of all four of the staff! The whole process took less than 10 minutes but then it had been raining earlier which would account for the place being empty.

Prior to that, Asda was also very quiet which surprised me but made the shopping experience easy for the few items I wanted. Certain products (eg Oatibix, noodles) are rarely, if ever available in Lidl.

My last stint as accompanist for a while at the early service today. I do like playing when required but find it tiring. Weird to think I played for Assembly daily in school without issue before a full day's teaching. (But that was 20 years ago!)

A blessed Palm Sunday to you all. 🦩🥰✝️💐🦩

Morning Mick, morning All. Not sure what our corner of Somerset is doing, forecast is dry with the usual strong wind.

Decent day yesterday. Financial juggling complete we headed out for a couple of hours, fortunately in the car when a hail storm hit. Managed to speak to our friend in her care Home yesterday. Not sure she knew who she was speaking to, it’s upsetting but we’ve been friends for over 70 years and I’ll not abandon her to dementia.

Our younger son unexpectedly messaged to say he’ll come and sort our shed roof this morning, it’s a bit damp in there. He’ll be off again before lunch as he has his own home issues to work on. We’re a mix of grateful and guilty about it. Suspect the Tornado will insist on coming to ‘help’.

You’re wise about the wind mick, Mr C can have the same issue, best to be sensible.

Have the best Sunday you can everyone.

Good morning from a chilly N Surrey. I fondly remember Assembly and the wonderful Miss Harris playing the piano with gusto.
I am not religious...but I loved the hymns and still have my school hymn book well used for seven years.
Today if it stays dry will be a day of sorting out the garden pots.

Good morning from a dry but cold South Downs.

The humane trap is working in the greenhouse and every morning I release a dear little mouse onto the downs, all in the same spot where hopefully they are meeting up to begin a new life in the country! I am surprised by all the different colours of their coats. They do look very neat and tidy. Apparently mice are very clean creatures - it is just that they seem totally incontinent.

All the dahlias are now potted up. I’ll play it by ear today as far as the garden is concerned, as if it is that cold biting wind, there is no pleasure in pottering in the garden, so will give it a miss.

Nothing planned today as DH is still suffering from a bad back. Will enjoy the sun from behind glass I think.

Enjoy your day all

Peace and harmony to the world.

Good morning everyone, it’s dry here in south Glos at the moment. We had two very heavy hailstorms yesterday and that northwesterly wind was cutting. I walked the dog and I couldn’t believe how bitter the wind was.
My bedroom is looking lovely, I am delighted with how it feels now that the walls are white. It did take me 6 hours to finish it yesterday, painfully slow going.
Today absolutely nothing planned. Now that the fence is finished I have plenty to do in the garden but it’s too muddy at the moment.
Hoping for sunshine for you all 🌹

Mizuna Sun 24-Mar-24 06:26:05

Good morning from a dry, bright Cornwall where the gulls are marching up and down the roofline across the road. Your picture Ash reminded me of my sorties to Jerusalem, one of them at Easter. Funny how easy it is to conjure up the sounds and smells of the Old City. Alas, not a destination for me at the moment.

Today my son and grandson are going with me to my allotment where I'll decide whether to relinquish it or not. Afterwards we'll eat out at one of our favourite places. In a minute I'll sit out on my patio with a coffee, wrapped around with my Dry Robe for warmth.

Morning all from a chilly West Oxfordshire. Church this morning (Palm Sunday).
I’ve already made today’s pudding - an old fashioned chocolate mousse. Dinner will be old fashioned beef and beer stew with dumplings. A retro meal in fact!
It will be a busy week next week so today will be a quiet one.
Have a good day everyone.

Bellasnana Sun 24-Mar-24 06:47:08

Good morning from a sunny Malta, temp expected to reach 21°C.

Last night I babysat the boys who were absolute angels. I expected some strong feelings when both their mum and dad went out for the evening , but they were fine, ate their supper without issue and were asleep by 8.45 allowing me to watch the tennis!

I got home at 1.15 and watched tennis until 2.30ish but I still woke up early. No need to rush as Mass isn’t until 11.30 after which I’ll have my weekly FaceTime with my friend in Leicester.

GM I’m so glad you enjoyed the school play! I love Dr Seuss so can imagine it was a lot of fun.

Wishing you all a peaceful day.☀️

Good morning all from North Leicestershire where the sun is beginning to shine.

We are off up the A1 to Harrogate today and DH's brother is in hospital. He is in a very poor state - so sad for a man who was always on the go - often climbing mountains - not so long ago.

Have the best day possible everyone.

GrannyIvy Sun 24-Mar-24 06:52:15

Good morning all from a chilly grey Cambridgeshire. It is Dgd2 annual dance show today. She is a very nervous and finds it hard performing in front of others but dancing is her passion and hopefully it will go well today. Two shows am and pm. I get to take Dgs2 to football this morning which may be a chilly experience 😂 Dd1 and Dgd1 are coming over to watch the morning show.

Otherwise an easy M & S convenience dinner when everyone has gone and feet up with my book.

Happy Sunday to all 💐

Good morning everyone from Saas Fee in Switzerland, we travelled here yesterday from Basel and are staying a few days. It’s cold though, about -5° here this morning with lots of snow on the ground. DS and his partner will be getting their ski stuff on soon and heading off, we’re looking forward to joining them later for lunch somewhere.
Enjoy your al fresco coffee mizuna Im the same and love sitting outside as long as I’m well wrapped up 😀
Good luck to your DGD in her show today GrannyIvy hope she does well
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

luluaugust Sun 24-Mar-24 07:07:02

All the best

Good morning from a calm down South. Havent been on here for weeks. Lots of family health scares.

Church this morning. A long standing member is getting a surprise.

Grandmabatty Sun 24-Mar-24 07:18:12

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 4° and sunny. It would be nice if it lasts. Bellasnana a lovely photo.
Yesterday I had a lovely catch up with a friend. I also bought rhubarb to make jam, so that's what I'll do later. And maybe a crumble.
Today I have dgs2 for an hour while DD takes dgs1 to football. Dsil is working. I'll visit mum later. Have a good day all.

Kalu Sun 24-Mar-24 07:26:15

Good morning from Glasgow. At last, the sun is here and I only hope it lasts for most of the day.

It is probably chilly outside but I plan to wrap up and sit in the sun for an al fresco coffee. It’s also calm, perfect for pottering outside but too soon here to plant anything yet until we are past frosty mornings.

Have the best day possible all.

monk08 Sun 24-Mar-24 07:27:10

Good morning all from the Black country the sun is shining and a lovely clear blue sky.
Perhaps a touch of gardening if it stays like it, if not the iron has sent me an invite.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Pittcity Sun 24-Mar-24 07:33:56

Good morning from a sunny but chilly Colchester. Yesterday was bright sunshine one minute and hail the next. We managed a short walk and DH cut the grass. DS is working on his car which is up on jacks on the drive.
Today DH is helping clean up around a fishing lake. I have winter coats to wash and reproof. Roast pork tonight.
Love to all 🦩 x

Good morning from cold but sunny South Lanarkshire.

We used an afternoon tea voucher which was a birthday gift to us both a few months ago. It was worthy of an episode in Fawlty Towers, totally chaotic but we did have a laugh about the appalling service with couple at the next table. It’s not somewhere I’d have chosen to go and I can definitely say I won’t be back.

Mass this morning then over to DD’s to childmind this afternoon.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Gingster Sun 24-Mar-24 07:45:36

Good morning all and it’s bright but very chilly.

Yesterday Dd came home from hospital. No further forward.
Not appendicitis ! She sees so many doctors who all have different theories. They are keeping an eye on her Pancreas as there’s something showing on the scan.

Not sure what’s happening today. I’ll do whatever needs to be done.

I’m glad youve got your bedroom sorted Roseandlilac. Well done !

Your holiday sounds lovely Brook.

Glad you enjoyed th ‘Suessical’ GM .

Love and best wishes to all.🌷

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Icy cold 2°C but 🌞.

I've climbed back to bed with my cuppa because I haven't to do anything much this morning. Bliss!

I went to a ceilidh last night which was great fun but tiring. I met a lady there from Malta and thought of you Bellasnana 😀

Good luck for your DGD later GrannyIvy
Thoughts for your family today Kitty

I have an AGM this afternoon for an organisation close to DH's heart so it will be good to catch up with one or 2 old friends whom I haven't seen since he died 3 plus years ago.

So glad you are enjoying your holidays brook

Have the best day you can everyone and may the sun continue to shine
