Good Morning Everyone,
Its just twilight here in brackley but its dry outside .
Today my usual routine , one of amusing things I see once I have sat down in Sainsburys is people trying to get out of the self checkout area without using the barcode on there reaccept to get through the barrier ,some try to force the gates , although there are staff on hand .
Apart from housework , not much more .
Take Care,
Mick
Susan good luck with the consultant appointment
Good morning from a grey and damp NE.
Hairdresser is coming at 9am, cut and blow dry doesn't take long as my hair is very short.
Nothing planned for the rest of the day so will watch some TV and read a book.
I cleaned the kitchen and mopped the floors before I went to bed to save time this morning.
Have a good day and best wishes to those with medical appointments and the dreaded dentist.
Me again! Have just read your post,Karma and hope your dental appointment goes well without too much discomfort.
Good morning all from a dull but dry Black country.
Lovely day spent with boys, soft play was their choice of the day usually it's a 2hr session but somehow it turned into 3, then back to ours for lunch and a bit of quiet time.
No plans as yet DH received a text yesterday asking him to get in touch with drs regarding his blood test.
Hope all goes well for those with dental or other medical appointments.
Enjoy your break Pantglas .
Have a lovely day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It is still raining but at least not snowing.
Chiropractor this morning and later I will set off to my DGC school concert. They are both performing and I am lucky to get a ticket. DGS sat his grade 8 piano exam yesterday. His sister took her grade 6 flute.

Yesterday I joined the U3A art appreciators at the
Wildlife Photography of the year exhibition at the Royal Scottish Museum. It is superb so to be recommended.
Sending healing thoughts to all of you with health worries.
I hope your dentist is gentle Karma
Have the best day you can everyone.
Morning all, bed is stripped and washing machine whirring away.
This afternoon I am going to see the 9yr old in his school play then it’s a quick dash to swimming lessons with him and his brother (The Imp).
My back is slowly improving, I am so grateful to the wonderful lady with healing hands (she is a holistic bodywork practitioner). I am finding this form of therapy far gentler and sympathetic than the usual route of Physiotherapy I have used previously.
Gingster the traffic is appalling at the moment, there are road works/closures on
A127 in several places along with daily accidents 😱
Karma I have a phobia regarding all
things dental, good luck.
Have a good day 🙋♀️
Good morning everyone from a cloudy Northampton; rain forecast this afternoon, but hoping it won't be until after our health walk.
Before then I need to catch up on a few jobs at home, including giving my en-suite a deep clean. I may even put a load of washing on, as I can now see sunshine.
Best wishes to those with dental appointments today; thank goodness it is no longer such a fearful place as it was in my childhood in the 1950s.
Easy dinner tonight; tuna fishcake, new potatoes and peas.
May Tuesday be kind to all.
Morning from Giffnock which looks clearish but at least dry for my journey home.
It’s been an exceptionally busy couple of weeks for me, but so very enjoyable. I was eighty a week past on Friday, but didn’t say anything on here because that was the day that poor Grandmattie posted about her terrible shock of being scammed so it didn’t feel appropriate. However I’ve spent the week being thoroughly spoilt by my family, in fact quite overwhelmed and very grateful. Culminated on Saturday with a large get together of extended family and good friends from ‘down the ages’, it was such a happy occasion.
In addition I have made the huge decision to stop driving. I am aware of not having the concentration/speed of reaction that I used to so have decided to stop, perhaps a little early rather than a little late. I’ve sold my car so no backing out and have embarked on my next adventure of total bus/train travel.
I’m joining you Mizuna in a backpack life, although unlike you, not heading for beautiful beaches!
I have to say that nonstop rain since I made the change has been challenging.
Hoping all goes well for Karma and Susan and others with treatment going on this week. Your daughter too Gingster
Belated birthday greetings Stilllearning how lovely to hear you’ve thoroughly enjoyed your special day!
x
Welcome to the backpack life Stilllearning! It is an adventure. I love it because it brings me nearer to people I would never have met in a car and because so much of it is unpredictable.
Happy belated birthday greetings, Stilllearning. You certainly don't look eighty!
How kind of you thinking of GM.
I am glad to hear, that you have been thoroughly spoiled.
See you in April!
Morning all from a dry S Hants, not for long though, rain due later.
My worst karma I hope it goes well.
Have a lovely break pantglas.
Hopefully a small glimmer of light Susan
MrJ finished jet washing the patio yesterday, so I’m allowed out to play, we were let down by the company booked to steam it.
Voluntary phones busy yesterday, some loose end to finish today. Quiz was very busy, we didn’t win a prize, but it was an enjoyable evening.
Couple of phone calls today, my car needs a wash and I need to go to the cash point.
🦩🦩
Belated birthday greetings Stillearning glad you had a lovely time with family 💐 safe travels home.
Many Happy belated Birthday greetings Stilllearning and pleased to hear you had a lovely time. 🎉🎂
Good morning everyone fro Severnside 🪻
I admire your brave decision, Stilllearning, it takes courage and honesty to admit you shouldn’t be driving. I have limited my time behind the wheel but with virtually no public transport life would be very hard so I continue to drive locally. Hope I am brave enough to recognise when I should stop.
Good morning from Glasgow.
DH took a tumble at 3.00am which had me rushing downstairs to help him back to bed where I sat until I was sure he was peacefully asleep again. The reality of our situation has hit me hard and my efforts to stay upbeat and positive are crumbling.
Much love and a huge thank you to all you lovely caring bunch of people but I will take a break from our lovely thread for a while.
Have the best day possible all.
Kalu 💐
I am so sorry to read this. Even the strongest of us crumble, where our loved ones are concerned.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Dry with high cloud in South Yorkshire and I woke very late. My trip into town yesterday was very disappointing. If I ever go into M&S again it will be too soon! Both art galleries I wanted to visit are now closed on a Monday and the town centre is a building site.
Volunteering this afternoon. I ordered some lawn shears which were supposed to be delivered on Sunday and now they are coming today when I’m not going to be in and neither is my neighbour. Hey ho.
Have the best day you can, folks.
Kalu 💐💐💐. Thinking of you.
Stilllearning a very happy belated birthday to you. Kalu I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your DH is ok after his fall and you can access help if you want to
Happy belated birthday greetings Stilearning
Kalu thinking of you
Sending you a big (((hug))) Kalu you are doing a marvellous job caring for your DH, remember to take care of yourself when you have a spare moment 🌼
Belated birthday wishes stilllearning 🥂🎂🎉
Hard times kalu. Sending much love. X
Kalu sorry to hear you are crumbling. Anyone going through what you are will know exactly how you are feeling. My best friend of over 50years has recently gone through this and I know how hard it is to keep going at times. Please ask for support when you need it. I hope you have people close who can just listen without anything else being needed.
