Just checked the weather forecast tonight, and it’s there in black and white, the next thirteen days will be rainy!
My garden doesn’t need it, nor the dog, the butts are full, I’m really fed up now, moral of this tale of woe, don’t look at the forecast ☹️

Yeah, but it'll only take 72 hours without rain and the powers-that-be will be muttering about droughts and standpipes.

Anyway, if you own a water but then be very glad - I'm not sure the stuff coming from the taps is safe anymore with all these horror stories about raw sewage discharges.

You're right, I've just realised my allergies are late kicking in, let's hope we don't get wolloped when we dry out grin

I blame Brexit.

MissAdventure Sat 30-Mar-24 18:23:56

I blame Harry and Meghan.

I went for a walk yesterday and got sunshine, rain and hail ! But I enjoyed the walk - knew I'd end up inside my house and felt good about being there and just knowing it was how it was.

Beautiful typical spring day here today not a drop of rain insight.Even the wind dropped, it was hot and lovely, we walked for 2hours and enjoyed every second.

Remember your clocks tonight by the way

SueDonim Sat 30-Mar-24 23:00:57

We had some sunshine today, about 10deg but later on a period of torrential rain and hail and the temperature dropped like a stone! Luckily we were in the car, not walking, but the hail was so loud we couldn’t even hear each other.

Yesterday I actually had a gin at the gin bench, my garden, and the sun was shining! Blissful, really lifted my spirits, however back to thick doom and gloom today ………..

Casdon Sun 31-Mar-24 10:00:13

I like the idea of a gin bench Nannylovesshopping!

I’ve just looked at the long range weather forecast, and it’s saying there will be rain every day for the next two weeks where I am. Great.

flappergirl Sun 31-Mar-24 10:23:54

A gin bench? I knew my life was missing something.

NannyWren Sun 31-Mar-24 10:53:24

@Desdemona

@downtoearth

I like it warm enough to take my coat off, cool enough to leave my clothes on,and not showing the world my flabby bits.

Same here!

Bit of a difference today with the NE wind and no sun. Went down to the duck pond this morning to watch the local children do an Easter Egg Hunt nearby. Had coffee and waffles and fed the ducklings but oh my word the wind was bitter. Rain starts again this evening apparently.

We’ve just had a couple of surprise bright, warm days down on the south east coast. I’ve seen blue skies, I’ve taken my parka off. I’ve even caught the sun, as I packed woolly jumpers and my Doc Martens, not the factor 30. One more day (hopefully another nice one) and we’ll be heading back up the motorway to the chilly grey quagmire I call home. Sometimes it really is grim up north.

Jaxjacky Sun 31-Mar-24 21:22:45

We’ve had two dry days in S Hampshire, sunny yesterday, now we have a thunderstorm.

Nannylovesshopping Thu 04-Apr-24 08:56:43

Casdon and flappergirl The gin bench is looking somewhat worse for wear this morning, it has loads of tulips on it, as well as gin, yesterdays wind was a damn nuisance, grey blustery clouds today and it’s going to be chucking it down later, the spaniel, who has a special cushion at the gin bench, is as fed up as me, and the forecast looks as grim as ever☹️

We have had two reasonable days in SWestWales. Enough to get the lawns cut anyway. I was woken about 3 this morning by rain, or hail on the windows. Cloudy, damp and cold this morning and more rain forecast .

notoveryet Thu 04-Apr-24 09:49:02

If we can get out early enough the dogs and I quite often get to enjoy a bit of sunshine. An hour or so later its raining again. I live in a tiny cottage so drying wet clothes (and dogs) is a nightmare.

So agree with wet dogs, they have a distinctive smell, yuk, after drying off if they are not showered each time, and who wants to do that more than once a month, you have all my sympathies, and I only have the one spaniel!

Nannylovesshopping Thu 04-Apr-24 18:58:50

Grey, grey and more grey!

MissAdventure Thu 04-Apr-24 19:26:56

Well, I'm about to go and fetch some washing in.
Fingers crossed, it's dry, because it's been grey and horrible and drizzly today.

MissAdventure Thu 04-Apr-24 20:01:53

It was more dry than wet, at least .
Now, three days of hanging off door frames and the end of my bed, and it'll be properly dry.

Nannylovesshopping Thu 04-Apr-24 20:39:02

You must be sick of the sight of your washing😳🤣
