Love to you all , especially those needing an extra hug.
Have been at hospice today, DH hanging on, but so frail. He asked today when he could come home.... I'm heartbroken.... But he's in tbe best place, its so peaceful and calming.
Take care, tell those that matter that you love them... Life can change with the blink of an eye.
God Bless xx

NannyG4. I’m thinking of you both.🌹
Beautiful photos grannmarie thank you for sharing, your holiday sounds just perfect 😎
We’ve just had a big hailstorm here but the sun is out again now - I dashed out to get the washing in but don’t know if I should risk putting it out again - big decisions eh ? 😂 I had a quick trip to M&S this morning as I thought there was a sale on - I saw about 4 racks of clothes in the sale the rest was all full price so definitely no bargains to be found. But I picked up M&S Butter chicken for dinner later so looking forward to that
The honey looks good llfl
Hoping all went well for Mr Urms this morning and he’s resting now
Thinking of nannyG4, Doodle, baggs and all kitcheners with sorrows just now
Take care all x
Good afternoon dear Kitcheners. The weather has been putrid today but I didn’t need to go out anywhere. The plumber got in touch and has let me know he will be able to come tomorrow evening, so I’ve been making space so he can access the shower to inspect it and take measurements, etc. I didn’t want to leave it until tomorrow as I have an early Opthalmology appointment which takes ages and leaves me blinking and wobbly! I don’t think I’ll be online tomorrow, wish me luck with the eyes and the plumber!
Special hugs to all going through tough times, TOYA. ♥️
Hadn't posted for a while I do read though sending virtual((hugs)) to all who need them Baggs what a shock for you and your family 🌺.
I am still stuck indoors the ulcer on my toe is not healing vascular team think I may have blood clots in my foot restricting blood flow am awaiting MIR and vein mapping the pain is horrendous at times . Sending best wishes to all.
Good evening Kitcheners. NannyG4 💐. Take care of yourself too. Cornergran and others who sympathised with the torrid time yesterday - today dgs2 was angelic(nearly). Definitely no meltdowns. We had a busy day. I picked up my prescription, then we walked to Aldi where chocolate milk was asked for (and got), chocolate cake (also got) and ice lollies (you guessed it -got). We played in the back garden for a while but it was very windy and dgs2 isn't a fan. This afternoon was lunch, nap and nursery pick up. Dgs1 is a lovely boy these days, who is helpful and chatty and generally sweet. Both boys have been deposited home and I'm having a breather before tidying up the mayhem. Ham salad and chips for dinner later. Hulahoop you are having such a bad time with your foot. 💐 I hope Soop and her Mr are well. Brook no hailstones here, thank goodness. We have blue skies but a strong wind. I hope Grannmarie is continuing to enjoy her holiday.
Have a good evening Kitcheners.
‘Evening All’.
Himself slept for 3 hours this afternoon, post treatment. What did I do? Erm … not a lot.

LLFL great photos! Good job it’s a hobby/labour of love/keeping your husband out of mischief as with ALL the kit he’s had to buy he could’ve bought umpteen jars of honey!
Mind you yours will be nicer I’m sure. Organic and pure.
We’ve eaten. And are now in pj’s (I don’t look at the clock anymore we just do what we do), scrolling and listening to Boom Radio. Life is good. For now.
Sending you a hug urms - I really admire your attitude.
LLFL we have several friends in the village who keep bees, so lots of honey. My favourite is creamed honey.
Nanny4G you are still in my thoughts. My mum used to plead to go home - it’s hard.
DGC sorted this morning, eventually but I missed my GP phone call and now it’s next week. 🤬 I need another steroid injection my hip but it’s going to take ages I think. I have also given up hope of getting my TKR before the summer, so we shall carry on with our holiday and aim for late August/ September. Just a bit ticked off!
WI committee sorted, now waiting for dinner. (She said hopefully!)
soops - I hope you are both improving.
Have a good evening everyone
Oh NannyG it’s so hard isn’t it. I do so feel for you. I’m getting ready for DHs funeral Friday. Not sure how I’ll cope.
Just don’t want to let him down.
Yes please give your loved ones a big hug tonight and hold them close.
Doodle I have no concept of your grief, but I’m sure you will do your darling husband proud xx.
That’s sounds pretty awful Hulahoop tests can’t come quick enough and hopefully a resolution.
Young children change so quickly Grandmabatty I think their down times surprise themselves too sometimes.
We had a lovely day amongst the patchy showers, Lyme Regis, briefly Bridport, then the most delicious dinner in the middle of nowhere, blackcurrant fool, mmmmm.
I hope neine is progressing; NannyG4 it’s tortuous, I know x
Feet up now, Urms each day a few small treasures.
So much to remember!
Happy holiday makers I hope, GG13, SueD and Yia ☀️☀️
That honey will be so good for hay fever llfl well done to your husband and you 🐝.
That sounds so painful hulahoop I hope you get some effective treatment soon and things begin to improve quickly
Sounds good Urms , there’s pjs on at any time in our house - well for me anyhow
That looks tempting Jax I think I must have missed you posting about going on holiday but it sounds like you’re having a good time

After three days in a lovely hotel in Corfu town we are now in our usual cottage in Stefanos. The views are wonderful and we wake early to a perfect sunrise and the cats wanting an early breakfast!!🐈⬛
The weather is great we are spending our days chilling and evenings at our local tavernas.
Glad your enjoying your Dorset break Jax it all looks very familiar.Spain looks wonderful Grannmarie enjoy.
I have honey envy LLFL I always bring the Greek honey home but it’s never enough.
So good to hear you so upbeat Urms. 😊
Hope Wednesday is good to you all.”Na se kala”
Beautiful holiday pictures Yia thanks for sharing and enjoy your holiday, it sounds perfect - also hoping all kitchen pals on holiday have a lovely time with happy memories made
Today is sunshine and showers again, same as yesterday but I managed to just get the lawn mowed before the rain came in. I need to go out for a Tesco shop soon as DD2 and the DGC are eating here again tonight. There’s not much progress on her house sale yet as there’s been a few problems with the home report but that’s now been sorted so fingers firmly crossed
Special thoughts with nannyG4 and Doodle 💐
Doodle and NannyG4 and Baggs sending you special, comforting love.
Mr Soop's skin graft has been rated between 65/75% successful. He will need further surgery in future. Oncologist dealing with his lymphoma seems satisfied with the latest blood results. Although his iron level needs topping up.
I attended a pal's 70th birthday party yesterday afternoon. It was held in a local hotel and was perfect in every respect. Just one drawback...the loud chatter made it difficult at times to hear every word being spoken by the ladies I sat with. We all left with savouries and cake to take home to our husbands.
Sunny with short sharp showers. Our garden is beginning to resemble a mini jungle. The birthday girl's husband happens to be a gardener. I invited him to call in on Friday afternoon. He said that he will advise Mr Soop in respect of managing the garden and, if permitted, he will offer his assistance whenever the need arises. Mr Soop is approaching his 84th birthday. He is inclined to be stubborn. He assumes that, in spite of his declining health and stamina, he can continue to cope...
Watch this space.
Popping in to send love to NannyG...Doodle and Baggs.
Lots of lovely holiday pictures which has set off real holiday envy.
Soop...a stubborn man!!!! I think we can all identify with one of those at times. I hope Mr Soop finds a way I accept a little help... Maybe the suggestion that it will allow more time for outings...Scrabble...wee drams etc might persuade him.
I've lost track a bit about who is where so apologies if I don't mention everyone.
LlfL... Well done to OH or should that be Sir Left Field Lover on his honey production. I'm allergic to all things bee sadly but admire all the work that's gone into those jars.
Yia...you set me off thinking about Greek food and now I'm yearning a greek salad with creamy Feta. I'm still in hospital but hoping for a freedom pass later. I've scaled a flight of stairs ( albeit slowly) and that is a measure of whether I'm safe to be allowed back into society. My knee is very sore but I'm on morphine every two hours and that takes the edge off. I look like a gargoyle...the pretty pink and purple of earlier in the week has turned to a not fetching black and yellow complete with what looks like a Fu man choo moustache. The Civil Ceremony photos should be fun. 🤣🤣
I happen to see my hip consultant this afternoon...he has said this accident won't impact on his plan to do a revision ( yay it is going to be done). I'm seeing him on the 14th June so will maybe get a date then. The house and sisters estate saga has spiralled...it has now been passed to the Fraud department of the Land Registry and the conveyancer ( not solicitor) acting for the daughters has been informed that she had no right to sell the property and that the monies need to be returned from the daughters...and the conveyancers need to contact their insurers ( presumably to pay back the proceeds if not returned by the daughters). I am just letting the solicitor deal with it because I know the daughters will blame me one way or another. ( Luckily I know the truth as do my friends). They've just said I can be discharged so I'll be back in the kitchen soon posting from home with a glass of something lovely in my hand.
That's good news Naughty neine you will sleep better in your own bed. Thank you all wishing me a speedy recovery I have MRI next week .
All these holiday pics are making me jealous we have just cancelled ours .Thinking of all going through hard times.
What gorgeous pictures Yia you sound at home.
Yippee neine, now, go steady!
Not bad news all round soop, your Mr can, perhaps, advise on the history of the garden.
hulahoop I saw your post on another thread, mapping is ultrasound, painless, good you’ve a speedy MRI.
Friends of ours called in earlier, they too are in the area, in a camper van, we’re off to theirs tomorrow for a bbq after a visit to Mapperton Estate.
I’m aware, while we’re gadding about, others are having tough times 😘
Good Evening to all you Lovely Grans......
Hello everyone!
Good news about MrSoop & Neine. Onwards and upwards!
We have done a bit in the garden today and it’s definitely a bit neater at the front. To be honest, DH did more than I managed. Tomorrow it will be the back garden’s turn. I just feel so slow these days.
Sleep well everyone!
