Good Morning Everyone,
A dark and wet start here in brackley this morning.
Yesterdays blood test had its usual problems as to myself, with it eventually being taken from the back of my left hand .
Today will be my normal usual routine , as I have a day trip on a coach on Saturday as well.
I only hope the weather improves and it gets milder but seasonal .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all and it’s damp here in Essex. Bursts of sunshine and then the dark clouds reappear. Strange weather indeed. April showers ? More like April downpours.

Today I have Bowls group and I’ll ‘encourage’ Dh to go for a swim.

GG I hope you’re feeling better. 🤞.
GM I’m glad your journey was ‘ok’. and you got home without any problems.
Ash perhaps Specsavers will have better news for you 🙏.
Oops how lovely to see those baby lambs .

Enjoy the day the best you can 🌷

Good morning from Malta where it’s sunny and 23°C. I know you are all sick of rain but we desperately need some here. I don’t remember such a dry winter in all my years living here, in fact we haven’t had a winter at all.

I’m off for my weekly wash and blow dry. It’s only €10 so that and my monthly nails are my only indulgence now I’ve given up wine.😄

Was delighted to have a fairly decent win on the premium bonds! Really came just when I needed it with my dental emergency to pay for.

So glad you arrived home safely GM, I felt for you having to navigate your way to the airport in unfamiliar territory. Well done!

I won’t waffle. Thinking of you all and hoping the day goes well.☀️

Good morning from a very wet and soggy East Midlands. Waiting for the drs to ring back and if I can’t get in to see them then I will have to go along to the pharmacy.

Good morning all from a wet Black country will the rain ever stop.
GM pleased to hear you arrived home safely, hope all goes well with your eye appointment.
Shopping today and then maybe start another book, that one you mentioned Ash looks interesting have put it on my list I think even DH might read it having the rock connection.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning Mick and everyone from bright Carlisle...the sun is trying but the forecast is for showers.
Nothing got done outside yesterday due to the persistent showers and I will be inside today unless I decide to go for a walk, the ground is too wet and chilly to sow seed though I could start some of in trays indoors. I'll do the ironing first and then decide but I have a multitude of little jobs to do inside. I need an infusion of karmalady attitude though to get me going!

Have the best possible day everyone.

Good morning from soggy N Bucks!
A lovely day in Birmingham with the family yesterday and the journey in both directions completed without trauma(thank you Google maps,it’s many years since I used the Ring Road coming out of the city and Google kept me on track)
Good to hear from you Grandmattie- I think I would have baulked at having to schlep my case across a city in a foreign country - even one I knew well- by public transport and my SIL would have come out to the airport with me. Well done you though.
Tired after yesterday, but D3 has her eye on a limited edition tablecloth from Ikea, not available online, and they are up in Suffolk, so I think I might take a trip and stock up on jars of herring and Swedish meatballs while I am at it.
Wishing you all a pleasant day and respite from any troubles.

Yet another showery day so not much chance of getting into the garden to do some necessary tidying now the daffodils are finished though the tulips are in full flower and various shrubs and trees are looking cheerful - this garden was thoughtfully planted by our predecessors and is very much a spring garden so I am enjoying it. Nothing much planned for indoors though I expect something will present itself. Thinking of those with worries and illnesses,

Good morning from Durham. Dry at the moment, but it won’t last - it rained all day yesterday.
Back into the routine of coffee with a friend this morning, then off to MetroCentre for a bit of shopping. I’ve an M&S voucher and fancy a new light weight duvet. As that’s more than half way, I’ll call in and see the DGSs and I’m sure DD2 will have some laundry for me.
Best wishes to all. X

Good morning from a dry NE for the present anyway.
Yesterday was a wasted day, didn't feel well enough to do anything so just watched a whole TV series.
I will try and make some soup today, it is an easy option for lunch.
You all seem to have such busy lives, I wish I had the energy.
Have a good day.

Well done Purplepixie I've just got through after hanging on 30mins to be told no appointments that's the 4th time we've been told this and it's the surgery who have asked DH to make appointment regarding his blood results.

Good morning to you all.

We are having our garden landscaped and new paths put down. We have lived with pebbles all over the not insubstantial front garden since we moved here. It was originally turfed and I cannot imagine why the previous owner did this. He only lived in the house for 18 months before moving.

So very sorry to hear you have to stop driving Ashcombe. I really hope it’s temporary.

That was a beautiful photo you posted of your wedding day BlueSapphire. Yesterday must have been a hard day for you. 💐

Have as good as you can all - the rain is never far away so I imagine the gardeners (4 of them) will get wet at some point.

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast. My get up and go has got up and gone and I must stir myself from this slough of despond😁. Lots to get on with, but ennui takes over. I get this from time to time.

DD in the south v upset at her car being written off and the bother of it all in a busy life. I wish I lived nearer. My sister is in the south too and I’m very close to both of them.
BILs birthday today, sent a card and will ring him, he’ll be surprised as I’m rather allergic to the phone.
Glad you are home safely Grandmattie and your appointment goes well Ash
Thoughts as always to those with troubles 🌺

Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire, currently 8°C.

Not much on the agenda today other than collecting a prescription.

Have a good day whatever you’re doing 🌹

Good morning Mick and all

I have been looking in occasionally while on my Lent break and thinking of you all, especially those who have had health and other challenges.

We are up in our East Lothian flat now (arrived late on Tuesday) and caught up with DD2 and family. The twin boys have their National 5 exams (equivalent of GCSE) and are struggling with the idea of spending school holidays revising, poor things 😕

It poured with rain all day yesterday so no change from West Sussex! It is brighter today (I rejoiced to see Grandmabatty mention a patch of blue sky earlier, knowing it should come our way soon), but storms on their way for the weekend.

DD has plans to leave the boys with us for a couple of days while she and SiL go away in the caravan. The boys used to love their trips but have turned into grouchy teens (they are lovely really!) who do not want to spend holiday time with mum &dad 🙁.
