Good morning from sunny East Lothian.
We had a lovely day yesterday, helping to prepare ground for and sow wildflower seeds on a piece of rough grassland by a recently cleared pond near our flat. We leave tomorrow but will be back at the end of May and will see if any seeds have sprouted. We followed that with a pub lunch in a village a few miles away where a former student flatmate is now living. Four of us gathered, with two husbands and enjoyed a lovely catch up.

Update.

Dog has chewed through the temporary fencing, next doors dog is trying to get under the fence to sort her out.

MrOops insisted that the green chicken wire that we already have, was overkill, he now intends to go out and buy some willow trellis ( she chews bits of wood in the garden as a pastime)

Do we think that will work? Um let me see………

Good morning all - this warm spell has taken me by surprise and I am hastily looking out the linens and T shirts.
Guaranteed to bring snow next week!
D’s FIL’s 80th was a lovely day in beautiful village pub in N Beds. It had a secure grassy pub garden with lots of space for the tinies (about 8, aged 2 1/2 to 8) to run around and play while we sat in a large conservatory or on the decking for lunch and most of the afternoon. I’m just amazed that FIL had no idea and thought he was going out for a quiet family lunch!
Rosie has bounced back from her dental procedure but I think a quiet day in the garden is on the cards for us both.

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞Northampton. Washing is in the machine and I have another load to do.

Dropping my keys off to my lovely neighbour this morning; he will keep an eye on the house while I am away, so I really need to get showered and dressed.

Busy day yesterday; shopping in the morning, then cut the back grass after lunch and trimmed the edges.
Then out to rugby in the evening, wow what a fantastic match! A packed stadium again, and brilliant atmosphere. We are now.through to the European Cup semi-final, having seen off the South African team 59-22.

The front grass to cut today, and a little rose to pot up for the garden.

Good morning from a sunny NE.
Lovely catch up with my sister and BIL yesterday, heard all about their holiday and their four GSs.
DS and GD2 arrived but DS had a really painful back so it was difficult for him, I certainly couldn't ask him to do any jobs for me.
DIL has a very painful knee and is having physio so neither are very well at present.
I now have an entire week on my own, nobody available to take me shopping, I have a full freezer and good store cupboard so I am sure I will manage.
Going to catch up with some more TV and do the crossword.

Good morning Mick and everyone from bright Carlisle where it looks like being another day of April showers.
Yesterday I walked through the soggy park to the local convenience store as I only wanted the newspapers, though they didn't stock one I wanted. Then it was back for coffee and a long session of putting the world to rights (if only!) with my sister down south.
After lunch it was out into the front garden to remove the last of the wretched deutzias. I then replanted with some pretty euonymus which will stay colourful all winter hopefully. I've got the lawnmower battery charged up ready to cut the lawn, the wimpy grass is finally starting to grow. Not doing it today, I've booked some reading sessions and may possibly continue a clearing out of paperwork etc in my office.

Another day with no rain in the forecast and at present the sun shining so a good start. Church in our own village this morning but no other plans, but had coffee with one set of neighbours and a cup of tea with another so yesterday was sociable and enjoyable. Hope today goes well for everyone.

Yesterday was a tiring day at art class. I know that sounds daft, but I concentrated so hard, trying to improve my woeful skills. I did improve as the day went on. Last night, I was in my jammies when the door was knocked loudly. It was my neighbour's young son asking if a parcel has been delivered to my garden. We went for a look but in the dark it was impossible to see properly and couldn't find anything. I'll have a look this morning.
Today dd is bringing both boys for a visit. I look forward to seeing them and particularly dgs2 who I haven't seen since before his holiday. I'm going to make a pot of lentil soup and roast a chicken today. Have a good day all

Missed art workshop yesterday as stomach upset. Today to Chester, longish trip by train for run through with pianist for upcoming concert. Love the city and will have a meal there.

Good morning from another lovely sunny Suffolk. Yesterday was glorious. We had coffee outside when I got back from the country market with huge Penny buns I bought there. Whether they ever cost 1d I don’t know …..but if so,that must have been many many years ago.

The roses in pots needed watering in the early evening after the heat of the day.

We’ll have a walk with the dog and then relax and read probably. There is an enormous number of huge flies around together with bumble bees. Spring has definitely ‘sprung’ here.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Sun is up! Birds are chirruping.

I hope to get out to the garden today. It will beat being indoors with the dehumidifier on constantly.

My Czech helper will go to Rosslyn Chapel today for a special Czech event.

We managed one car load to the tip yesterday and a shopper on wheels to the charity shop. It's great having a strong lass to lift the things I can't.

gMattie I can sympathise with feeling outnumbered at family events. It goes with the territory I am afraid, being a widow. Nice to be invited so I always go.

Good morning from a sunny Cambridgeshire today. I haven’t ridden my bike since last September so planning a ride out to see how I go. Will then potter, cook a roast dinner just DH and I today and relax before a hectic week begins.

Good morning from Sefton. The weather cannot make its mind up this morning. It was bright(ish), it is now clouding over, it is breezy & quite cool. Yesterday remained cool & cloudy all day. So much for highs of 21. But we had a lovely family lunch - lasting 3 hours! - so the weather didn't matter.
Off to town on the train today for a mooch round the shops & another lovely lunch with DH.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. The sun is out. Builder will be back shortly to do some painting and sort the tops for leading tomorrow. He works hard and is making the most of the fine weather.

DD2 and I have late morning nail appointments, then our plans with DGS2 will depend if his system has settled down - he had a bit of a fraught day yesterday with S&D, I’ve bought some gel stuff from Boots that’s supposed to help. It’s awful when little ones are unwell and don’t understand what’s happening.

MissOops has arrived 7 hours before she was due with the dog, she’s gone to bed so will explain when she gets up.
The dog went straight for the part of the garden where MrOops said she wouldn’t be able to get to the back fence, I told him she would!! Why won’t men listen, anyway he will have to sort it out when it’s later, tooo early to be banging about. It’s only a short piece of fencing needed so not too much to do. Little beast I knew she would find a way to get to the dogs.

GM, I can empathise with you. There is a sense of fulfillment supporting one's church and parishioners.

I managed to get to Babydoll's party, but left earlier than planned. I was struggling a bit and trying to put on a face is difficult.
We had a lovely time, but it was too busy for me, fifteen adults and ten children! Dollie was in her element playing with Babydoll and her extended family ^ cousins^ cousins and refused to go home.
I am blessed with such a lovely family, including my in laws.

I missed Mass last night, so need to go this morning. Usually I give the duty sacristan a hand if I'm there, but it will be straight there and back. I am learning to say No and not cover up.
Apart from making roast beef with all the timings, I will rest.

I have bought some new dresses, but they need altered, so that is my gentle task for today.
Oops, I hope you get some relief from the vertigo.💐

Good morning all from a lovely sunny Black country.
Yesterday next doors landlord finally replaced the fencing yippee I no longer have to look at a garden with dirty mattresses, cardboard packaging and everything else they are to lazy to dispose of.
Will make the most of this good weather and get some washing on, DH wants to paint the garage doors.
Roast lamb for dinner.
Hope Marydoll made it to party for babydoll and is feeling a little better.
