Do you have favourite authors? Do you have favourite genres?
What is your definition of a good book? What are you reading at the moment? Do you read the book first before watching the film? I am always on the lookout for books to enjoy. Please share your thoughts.

I have just finished reading a Novello So out went the Candle by Philip Stott. A Miss Marple type English village but a new arrival brings trouble.

I’m an avid reader - I’ve read a lot of the suggestions already made.
Recently I’ve just completed The Road by Cormac McCarthy, I can honestly say it’s one of the most profound thought provoking books I have ever read.
I know I will read this book again but I need a little while to recover from it! Very relevant in the current climate

That book stayed with me for a long time though I did think it leant heavily on an earlier book called The Ice People by a female author, Maggie Gee?

The only book I’ve ever read in one sitting.

I have just finished Girl On Fire by Tony Parsons and although it’s not what I would normally read I did enjoy it. His earlier books Man and Boy, Man and Wife etc were all good reads.

Now reading Motherwell by Deborah Orr but have mixed feelings about it.

I loved Motherwell it rang so true .

Recently read all 3 books by Ajay Chowdhury about his Asian detective Detective Kamil Rahman in London's Brick Lane.

Lots of twists and turns
