Goodness I never clean the fridge as a 'job' I just wipe bits of it regularly. So now I feel really slutty - but I'm still not going to clean it, or the oven!

Sorry, could you explain again what it was you did? Something to do with your fridge?

The bicarbonate I ordered has found a place in the cupboard, it’s very happy, I did wipe brocoli fragments from the bottom of the fridge with a piece of kitchen roll though. In a frenzy of activity I then cleaned the oven door so I can see in it, cup of tea now and patting my back.

Ha Ha! These post are making me laugh. I thought I was the only slob.
Talking of cookers. I've got a gas one and can't remember if I've cleaned inside the oven since I've had it.
When the potatoes or veg boil over on to the hob I can't always be bothered to clean the water up. I just put the lid back down and leave it for another time.
I can't see it so nobody else can.
I ought to be ashamed of myself.

when we had all to get heat and smoke alarms installed last year, my son in law put the one in the kitchen right above my cooker....after a while if I was using the oven, whenever I opened the oven door the alarm went off...all over the house....when I complained about it I was asked IF MY OVEN NEEDED CLEANED....ha .ha I cleaned it and it solved the problem....put me down for one of these medals...

I cleaned our double-door fridge three years ago when we moved into this house and I have not cleaned it since.
I feel that I should be ashamed but somehow I am not.
After the grand cleaning something odd happened. I developed a habit of wiping down, after use, with a wet sponge every jar/bottle/container/ whatever that lives permanently in said fridge. I probably thought that I was postponing, by this habit, the date on which I would have to repeat the horrible task and that has worked .
Now in our set up Mr Labradora is hygiene mad whereas I have a more relaxed attitude to dirt and dust. Amazingly Himself objects to my "wiping-down" habit and is vocal about it when he remembers.

Well done! I had a fit of madness this morning and cleaned the oven! Now I don’t want to cook dinner in it.

I had cataract surgery last April and the other eye done last week. It's a revelation on how much grot I can now see, but hasn't really spurred me to action. The fridge is only 2 years old so clearly doesn't need cleaning yet, but I suppose I ought to defrost the freezer, which could probably house quite a few of Santa's little helpers hidden in the ice ...

Once it's done I expect the glow from my halo to light up at least a small town for a few days.

I, too, took the easy way out last Autumn and bought a fridge freezer that doesn't require defrosting. Life's too short...

I have been putting it off for months, pleading a sore back and shoulder.

Having worked in professional kitchens in my young days, neither cleaning the oven nor the fridge bother me. Both are regularly cleaned but the bath-tub? A completely different matter.

I don’t clean windows. Used to, but why bother when a couple of days later we get some sort of dust storm?

I have eventually cleaned the fridge!!!
It has been on the list since Christmas. I honestly don't remember the last time I did it thoroughly rather than just the sticky bits.

I might even deserve a medal - maybe 'Slut of the Year'?

I told my husband very early on that he can have either a domestic goddess or a sex goddess.

Get an air fryer - they are really easy I clean mine every day. I put the inner trays and rubber bits in the dishwasher. I soak the drawers with hot water and washing up liquid and then wipe them after dinner. I do need to clean my fridge though. And everything else.

Oh I love this post. I too am a domestic slut. Absolutely hate housework of any kind. I work full time standing 8 hours a day and just love to laze about at the weekends (as DH does)
I hate the guilt trip some people give me when they talk about spring cleaning from top to bottom.😡 My Mother was do houseproud she hoovered teice a day and hated visitors in case they messed up her tidy house. maybe that's why I rebelled and now live as happy as a pig in sh** 🤣

Well done Kitty Leicester and all who follow her!! I must confess that I am one who only cleans her fridge when really necessary or if I have had a spillage. You have started me thinking. I may or may not clean it more frequently. Keep up the good work everyone!!

I don't think I have EVER cleaned my fridge, so I must be the slut of the century!

Should have added, a colleague’s sister just couldn’t be bothered with cleaning her long-overdue for it oven, so she bought a new one!
I have to admit I like her style…
