Firstly this is an attempt by me to push the unwanted posts further down the list (can't think of another word)
One thing that I would like the Gransnet moderators to tackle would be the resurrection of old posts for advertising purposes.
So often I see a post that would interest me, only to find that it is often years old and it has been hi-jacked by someone trying to sell something. It is reported to the moderators and the post is deleted, but it still remains on the list with nothing to show that it is a very old post.
I wonder if it would be possible for the moderators, when they delete a post, to put something such as an asterisk alongside the original post, this would inform us that it wasn't worth going into.
I hope that what I've posted makes sense. I really can't think of another word for "list" which would explain it better.

Good morning Maytime2 just bumping up your post to assist with pushing the offending posts down the list. As you say, it's sometimes irritating to read through a thread, only later to realise it's an old thread that's been resurrected for advertising purposes. I'm not sure if GNHQ can /will do anything to distinguish these old threads though.
But occasionally I find, as do others, that although old, the topic of the thread is still relevant and useful /helpful.
