Good Morning Everyone,
Its daylight with a clear sky over brackley this morning but still a cold chilly air.
Today , will spent indoors as I have cycling on TV this morning and into the afternoon .
Plus to add housework as well .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a clearish Bristol.
My mojo found its way back briefly yesterday! I cleaned the flat, did some shopping for a housebound neighbour, made myself a sun hat, washed and dried towels, printed and delivered invitations to my “one year in Bristol” party next week…
Today, church at 8 as I’m going on a tour of Bristol in French led by a blue badge guide. I have been invited by the francophone group, who meet on a Thursday. I don’t go as it is the only day I see the family. I haven’t spoken my natal French for over 20 years; I suppose it’ll all come back,
Have a blessed Sunday. . Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning all from a damp Espana….thanks for sending some 🌧️ last night, I got my cushions in from the terrace PDQ 😂

It’s promising more sunshine 🌞 today so some washing to be done this morning and stashing away my latest purchases… Miss Marydoll will be 🤢 because we ended up at La Cala de Mijas market! I could’ve spent a king’s ransom and had to be frogmarched away to the 🏖️ as the stallholders had started packing up and Mr PG was ravenous!

A peaceful Sunday for all x

Puss Sun 21-Apr-24 06:08:53

Good morning from Belfast. Blue sky at last promises to be a lovely day. At last.
Church this morning then going to my daughter's for lunch.
Have a good day everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 21-Apr-24 06:11:58

Morning all, sorry no idea what the weather is like as I am under the duvet trying not to disturb DH.

I emptied the ironing basket yesterday after much procrastination (all bedding and duvet covers). Today I intend to read my book and be lazy until it’s time to prepare dinner this evening (Turkey breast, roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and an assortment of green vegetables)

Enjoy your Sunday 🙋‍♀️

Good morning from a sunny Essex coast.
I've not been too well the last week with the most awful chesty cough. I still have it and I'm mighty fed up with it.
I'm going to Leamington to visit DD1 on Wednesday and hope I feel better by then.
DH is off to rugby with the boys at 8, an away game. I don't plan to do much, again.
Have a great Sunday everyone, I hope you find some sun 🌞 xx

monk08 Sun 21-Apr-24 06:27:47

Good morning all from the Black country.
Early start here at the Abbey DH fishing not sure of my plans will decide later.
grandMattie can't believe it's a year since you arrived in Bristol, enjoy your tour.
Best wishes anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Will catch up with everybody's happenings later enjoy your Sunday and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning, cloudy skies here in south Glos at the moment.
Yesterday I started varnishing my potting table, it’s old but reasonably sturdy still, I got very warm doing it in the sunshine which was lovely.
All the washing dried nicely, there were lots of bees around and it was a very pleasant afternoon outside.
Today I need to apply a second coat, DH will walk the dog and hopefully he’ll finish laying the patio 🤞🏻
Have a lovely day everyone 🌹

Good morning from a bright and (soon to be!) sunny Torbay.

After a lovely drive over Dartmoor, we had lunch on the decking of my static where a bullfinch landed on the balustrade and serenaded us! One of those moments to treasure. Our journey home was easy with little traffic until we were nearly back. Torquay United playing at home meant that fans had parked crazily all round our area as we live within a mile of the stadium.

Your French Bristol tour sounds interesting, grandMattie.
I hope you can find some easement from your cough, Sara53.
It was good to see Urmstongran and Marydoll back yesterday.
Belated birthday happies to Blue Sapphire and I hope the formal night went well.
Welcome to Babysitter.

Every blessing to you all. 🦩💐✝️🥰🦩

Bellasnana Sun 21-Apr-24 07:02:22

Good morning from Malta where it is cloudy at the moment and about 15°C.

A quiet day for me, Mass at 11.30 then my usual weekly FaceTime chat with my friend in Leicester. We are both on our own so it’s lovely to have a virtual coffee break together.

Tennis from Barcelona on tv this afternoon. What an exciting life I lead!😄

Gosh, is it already one year since you moved, GM?! I do admire the way you upped sticks and threw yourself into a whole new life.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

karmalady Sun 21-Apr-24 07:06:06

Good morning from very sunny s somerset, sunny but cold. The sun won`t be out all day

One caftan is made and hanging up, it felt so cool on, hard to believe that it could be so necessary in summer. I may start on the other one today after a longer cycle ride. This sun does get the endorphins going

The bumble bees were working furiously until dark last night, the most beautiful of creatures, all carrying huge yellow pollen bags

Have a lovely day

Good morning from dry South Lanarkshire.

How lovely it was to feel the warmth of the sun yesterday afternoon. I sat outside with my book for a little while after I’d cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms, it felt so good.

Mass this morning then this afternoon DD and I are meeting up to have afternoon tea in a hotel which gets very good reviews. We are using vouchers given to me on my birthday, we are looking forward to it.

Have the best day possible everyone.

NannyJan53 Sun 21-Apr-24 07:10:45

Good morning from a cloudy but warmer Black Country.

Lovely sunny day yesterday, so managed to get out in the garden and start the massive tidy up. Green Bin is full! Then swept the patio and all looks much better now.

My Niece is running the London Marathon today for a charity. She has never done one before, so thinking of her this morning.

DD and DGD (15) are coming over to dinner today and bringing Mum. SIL and youngest DGD are away for a few days. I am cooking roast lamb, and a Gingerbread loaf with caramel sauce for dessert.

That year has certainly flown by gM

Welcome Puss to this lovely good morning thread.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

kittylester Sun 21-Apr-24 07:14:01

Good morning from a bright but brisk North Leicestershire.

We had a lovely day with Persie yesterday. The route round the shopping centre worked well, bubble tea turned out to be delicious and, with careful shopping, she only went £1 over budget. DH and I were exhausted! Apparently she wants to do it every year until she is 19!!

This morning we are going Melton Mowbray to watch her brother in his final football match of the season. His team is 18 points ahead of their nearest rivals so they will definitely be going up a division.

Have the best day possible everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 21-Apr-24 07:16:52

Sar53 there is a nasty bug doing the rounds, we have all had/got it. My son and family near you are slowly getting over it.

Hopefully you will feel better by Wednesday, safe travels and enjoy the time with your girls 🙋‍♀️

Jaxjacky Sun 21-Apr-24 07:23:52

Morning from a sunny S Hants, welcome Puss, MrJ is from Belfast.
A year gMattie goodness, enjoy your tour later.
I hope your cough improves Sar, MrJ is not well at all with a cold bug, we’ll attempt the GP tomorrow.
Yesterday we had the grandchildren until midday, greenhouse sowing and football. Today, I don’t know yet.
🦩🦩

Nonnadiana Sun 21-Apr-24 07:31:39

Good morning from a dry Glasgow. It was lovely to have the sun shining yesterday. I too sat outside with a book for a while yesterday.Hope everyone has a great day

Pittcity Sun 21-Apr-24 07:33:33

Good morning from sunny Colchester. A dry day forecast so I'll get washing on the line.
A quiet Sunday as DH has a work party at his trout lake. I'll have a roast chicken dinner ready for his return.
Love to all 🦩 x

brook2704 Sun 21-Apr-24 07:33:51

Good morning everyone from Inverness, where it’s grey and drizzly but due to brighten up later
That first year in Bristol has flown by gmattie what a lovely thing to do and so kind to invite your neighbours
A bit of shopping and cooking this morning as DD2 and family are coming round for something to eat later. I am looking forward to seeing them all and then DGS will stay over for his sleepover tonight
Good luck to your niece in the marathon today nannyjan
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Ladyleftfieldlover Sun 21-Apr-24 07:41:34

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.
Our old friends will be arriving around noon. I did a lot of the lunch preparation yesterday while OH was visiting his bees. He put up another hive as he’s worried they may be getting ready to swarm. He is very pleased with his new car. Annoyingly the handbook is on line. All 500 pages of it.
Have a good day. I’m still in bed so haven’t got my head round the new day yet!

GrannyIvy Sun 21-Apr-24 07:41:56

Good morning from a bright sunny Cambridgeshire. I am meeting up with an old friend today and we will do coffee and browse in the garden centre. The DH’s are off to an aircraft museum locally for their own catch up. We will all then eat dinner together later.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone

Marydoll Sun 21-Apr-24 07:46:37

Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is cloudy and 10°C
Baubles it was lovely here too, that bit of sunshine lifts our flagging spirits.

Susan, I hope your trip went well.

Pants, you are a tease! My idea of heaven, Mr MD's of hell.

GM, I do like the idea of your walking tour. About fifteen years ago, I was awarded funding to study in Lyon for a week. There were students from all over Europe, we were forbidden from speaking our native language for the whole time and had to converse with each other in French. It was so difficult not to speak English for a week!
Initially, I was very rusty, ( I graduated in 1976), but was surprised at how quickly everything came back to me.

Welcome,Puss to this lovely thread,

I'm off to church this morning, with my tin hat on having had little sleep (again). Mr MDoll, somehow manages to sleep through all my moans and groans. 😡
Today is the penultimate First Communion Class and everyone is desperate to know about seating arrangements. It has been top secret, heaven knows why?
Last night, I counted the pews. We can seat 700, but it won't be enough to accommodate everyone. 😱
The PP will need to revise his plan and I will need to get my thinking cap on!

Have the best day folks and good wishes for all, who are struggling.

P.S. GM, by Blue Badge guide, I initially thought the guide was disabled! I am not entirely with it!

Grandmabatty Sun 21-Apr-24 07:47:35

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and a bit grey. Hopefully it'll turn out nice like yesterday. It's good to see some new(er) posters Puss and NonnaDiana. I can't believe it is a year already GrandMattie. What a lot you have achieved in that time. Brook enjoy the catch up with your family, and you, with your friend Bellasnana.
Yesterday I met up with my friend for breakfast. It has become a regular thing, every couple of weeks. We sat in the garden centre and blethered for ages. Later I got the housework done and even did the ironing. I'm thinking of Grannygravy 😄
Today I'll go to Aldi for food. Then some pottering until I visit mum. I'm planning gammon and cauliflower cheese for dinner. I might make roast potatoes in the air fryer. Have a good day all.

Georgesgran Sun 21-Apr-24 07:54:01

A very brief Good Morning from Durham. It’s grey, but still and dry.
I’ve to be on the road in 7 minutes to be able to watch DGS1 have his swimming lesson.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Best wishes to all. X

Gingster Sun 21-Apr-24 07:57:13

Good morning all and again it’s bright but chilly here.

Sar I hope your cough disappears soon and you are fit to visit your family. 🤞.

Taxi runs today ferrying Dd and DGD to dancing to collect all the different costumes, then swimming lesson. She’ll be exhausted so we’ll have a leisurely lunch and maybe watch a film later this afternoon. I’ll be glad when the show is over and done with. It’s too much for Dd but she didn’t want to let DGD down. ❤️.

Hoping you all have a good day.🌸
