Good morning from sunny but chilly South Lanarkshire. I’m going to post before reading today which I’ve never done before so apologies for not commenting on anyone’s news.
It’s just that I’ve been so busy recently that once I’ve absorbed all the news I’ve had to get moving!

My visit to my sister in law on Tuesday went well, it was not difficult to get there by bus(es) but long because I didn’t know the timings. Next time will be easier. She was really pleased to see me and that made it worthwhile.

Yesterday, momentarily forgetting I’ve no car now, I had accepted a health centre appointment at 8.15 so the day started with an early longish walk uphill, I won’t make that mistake again!

Off shortly on my travels again to meet a friend and her daughter for coffee. This is a bit of an experiment because she is very largely housebound due in part to having to having to carry an oxygen supply with her so fingers crossed it all goes well. Her daughter is wonderful, as in fact in extremist, is her son.

Funeral yesterday of art group member and the wind was icy as we stood outside at the end.

Last night to live performance at cinema of Swan Lake and lovely to see handsome Liverpudlian Matt Ball dancing the Prince. It’s strange not clapping at these live relays as one would in the theatre.
Tonight a meal with pianist friend and on to the RLPO for Shostakovich 5th. All culture at the minute!

Good morning all I had a lovely afternoon yesterday sitting in my conservatory here on the east coast of Fife it was boiling hot but I was so pleased to be looking out into my garden . I’m getting very excited as I’m getting to meet a vip on Saturday they’re sending a car for me. It’s going to be great fun

It’s a bit chilly 6degrees here in Rickmansworth. Brrrr
Last night I drove with my Daughter & youngest GD to Portsmouth to watch my 13yo GD inDance Live 24 , her School came 1st in the Hertfordshire heats . Unfortunately they didn’t get a place in the national heat , the competition was strong. TBH I am amazed at the things they do in school nowadays it’s more like college courses,
Today , I’m obviously tired from our late night we didn’t arrive home until midnight. Added to which my SIL has the builders here plastering a bathroom .
SIL & DD are away today , so I will walk the fur granddog who came & slept on my bed in the night . Then I’ll keep myself busy probably mooch some Charity Shops until I meet my eldest GD at 2pm for a coffee , she is currently studying for her A levels & has lots of plans for the summer before she heads off to uni , which we will chat about . Then I’ll meet the other 2GDs from school before heading home , their home obviously .
I’m sure we will all have an early night after last night 👌

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a cool cloudy South Yorkshire. We are expecting rain this morning which doesn’t bode well for walking group. I’m very much a fair weather walker these days. At least the wind has dropped. I was supposed to be going for a covid jab this afternoon but the pharmacist phoned to say that the NHS have booked more recipients than there is vaccine for so I will have to wait for next week or find another centre. I can wait. If it does dry up later I’ll do some light gardening.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. It was so sunny I have been sitting outside eating my muesli whilst enjoying the birdsong recognition app Merlin.
At least 15 different songs were picked up. I think I live in a bird sanctuary 😍

Someone can always recommend. Reminds me I have to call another plasterer for a quote.

My eldest DGS begins his Highers today so I'm thinking of him.

Good morning from Durham. A wet start after overnight rain.
I’ll take DD2’s Little Dog home soon, then must be at home from 1pm to await a visit from Octopus - 3rd time lucky I hope! I’ll do a bit of housework while I wait.

Good morning all. Rain is forecast from late morning. It has been very cold and I have gone back to wearing a thick winter coat. On Monday the temperature didn’t rise above 8°. GP appointment later today.

*BlueSapphire” we did the gin tour in Gibraltar in 2022. It was very good and we also staggered back to the ship. We did buy a bottle. I thought I had some photos but couldn’t find any. The old town in Valletta is so pretty. We got a cannon send off when we left in the early evening.

U3A book group here this morning when we are discussing Patrick Gale’s “Take Nothing With You” which I have thoroughly enjoyed, not least because of the author’s wry asides. Should provoke a good discussion.

Grey and dismal morning and still not warm. Spring is still only a rumour here though the weeds are flourishing. Hope today is a good one for everyone.

Good morning Mick and everyone from a dreary grey Carlisle.
Yesterday I felt improved and pottered through the morning before nipping out after lunch. A brief detour to deliver a freegled item and then into town to pick up some currency. After that I felt up to buying some new trousers, 2 pairs, one of which is dark navy. I always buy black for when it's not summer but thought I'd be adventurous and get out of my comfort zone. I've got a new jade green sweater to wear with it, there's always an excuse to buy another!

Today, nothing more exciting than the ironing and maybe swabbing my floors. In the afternoon, I shall get on with my page turner.

Good morning from a damp & dismal Sefton. Dog walkers all wrapped up again. What a change from yesterday which was lovely & sunny with real warmth in the sun. Pity we had to spend it indoors (commitments) & stuck in traffic chaos for an hour. We live near a complicated & dangerous junction involving 2 motorways & a very busy A road. It is very difficult to avoid using it. There are crashes/bumps/scrapes on what always seems like a daily basis. What is usually a 20 minute journey across town took just under an hour & a half.
I have a zumba class in the parish hall this morning. I will have to walk - DH usually drives me there, it's a bit of a hike - but it's raining. Hmm, maybe not. I have access to a usefull exercise video library. I may use that instead. Our usual Thursday morning routine has gone a bit awry today, trying to fit in dog walk, visit to fish man, my zumba class & someone being home to receive some meds being couriered to us. This is beginning to sound like one of Marydoll's days😬. Hope you're feeling better & more rested Marydoll.

Good morning from a cloudy Glasgow, where its 5°C.

I've had a particularly restless night, my pain levels are really high and draining.
However, no time for wallowing, we have Babydoll today, her parents are off to see Hamilton in Edinburgh and will not be back until evening.
We will deliver her at dinner time to her other gran, who will bath her and put her to bed. Fortunately, we get on well with the other grandparents, so it should all run smoothly.

I had a busy morning yesterday, trying to so iron out the logistical arrangements for the joint First Communion with fifty 55 children, their parents and families.
Tomorrow I have a meeting with management staff from both schools, to co-oirdinate things.
It's like being back at work and I'm loving it, it takes my mind of my medical issues.

I'm glad to hear you had a good review Ash. Blue, I am envious, Malta and Gozo were frequent holiday destinations for us.

For anyone reading and who may have missed it, I have started a new Glesca Grannies thread for a June meet up.

Mick I'm glad you're feeling so much better than at this time last year - it's always good to be aware of an improvement, particularly when you're not feeling so good.
Tai chi this morning again, where we're going to be 'tweaking' one of the harder moves involving balance and controlled speed. I know the theory of the move, but can no longer perform it anywhere near well enough to be able to say 'this is how you do it, so it will be a case of 'do as I say and not as I do. Should be interesting!

Good morning all from another grey and chilly looking day. The friend I met yesterday and I were hoping to go for a stroll between coffee and lunch but the weather was so awful that weblurched from one cafe to another and spent nearly 4 hours chatting.

After meeting 3 different friends this week,DH was surprised I’m not meeting a 4th today! I’m off to my stretch class and then an appt with a nurse practitioner for a review and then home before lunch.

DH and I changed GP surgeries a few weeks ago and the difference in patient care and interest is startling. It was such a good decision to move.

Hope today is a good one for all.

Good morning from a very grey looking Leamington. The journey yesterday was long and I was glad when DD1 collected me from the station.
I met the new puppy who is very cute and very loved here by all 3 granddaughters.
We went to a talent show, yesterday evening, put on by DGD3'S junior school. 8 year old E sang 'Quiet' from the musical 'Matilda'. She was so nervous beforehand but you could of heard a pin drop whilst she sang. DD1 and I were in tears, she was magnificent. I'm so proud of her.
This morning we are going to watch her play Steel Pans at school.
I'm glad GG13 and Gingster had a lovely catch up. I'm looking forward to meeting up again soon.
