I've not really had one for ages, but apparently do now.

Is it normal to be struggling (I mean really struggling) for breath, for just some of the time, please?

Marydoll Fri 26-Apr-24 11:40:59

Glad to hear it. Miss A, please make sure you tell him that you were too ill to attend your appointment and about the rash. Stress how much your are struggling.
Good luck! 💐

welbeck Fri 26-Apr-24 11:42:59

i wouldn't wait on useless GP.
dear Miss A, ring 111 now.
tell them everything.
all the best.

* MissA* worried for you,wish I lived nearer,would definitely kick a few arses,ladee that I am😘

Callistemon21 Fri 26-Apr-24 19:58:24

I missed this thread, sorry!

I think a few of us need to come and kick a*se. Your GP sounds useless and that receptionist is just obstructive.
The GP should make a house call.

I'm hoping you feel better now, but if you have a rash you need to know if it's from the bug you have or an allergy to the antibiotic.

What a horrid lurgy Miss A. Hope you feel better soon. Hadn’t realised till reading this thread that there is something so dire doing the rounds. Hope that makes you feel less alone.

Marydoll Fri 26-Apr-24 20:13:15

I came back to see how Miss A is.

Urmstongran Fri 26-Apr-24 20:36:31

I think a few of us are concerned about you now MissA.
What did the doctor say this afternoon?
I hope you are alright.
x

Grandyma Fri 26-Apr-24 21:35:20

Just came back to see how MissA got on at the Dr’s. I do hope she’s ok.

Esmay Fri 26-Apr-24 22:02:48

Sorry - if you are struggling to breath - don't hesitate in calling an ambulance .
Paramedics will assess you quickly : checking your oxygen levels /general condition and give you oxygen and a nebuliser to relieve your symptoms .

Antibiotics , steroids and possibly an inhaler will be prescribed .

I hope that you are feeling much better .
Get Well soon 💐

Callistemon21 Fri 26-Apr-24 22:11:45

I hope you're all right, MissAdventure.

Don't struggle on, waiting for the GP, Esmay's advice is good.

Grannybags Fri 26-Apr-24 22:23:37

So frustrating reading all this Miss A

I want to shout at someone on your behalf! I hope your useless GP was some help and you are feeling a bit better now flowers

Calendargirl Sat 27-Apr-24 07:19:17

The GP should make a house call

Goodness, do they still do that? Never hear of any round us coming out, it’s either go to A&E or ring for an ambulance.

Marydoll Sat 27-Apr-24 07:24:13

I'm really concerned that we haven't heard from MissA.

Kalu Sat 27-Apr-24 08:35:04

I sincerely hope MissA’s GP got his finger out and done his job in getting MissA to hospital for a thorough check out.

NotSpaghetti Sat 27-Apr-24 08:45:20

Thinking of you.

I’ve just phoned MissA. She sounds dreadful so I didn’t talk much. As we don’t live far apart I’ve told her to call me if she needs to go anywhere.
She did manage to say she feels a bit better.

downtoearth Sat 27-Apr-24 09:09:47
