Up earlier than normal , its just daylight and dry.
Plans are quick breakfast then go outside see the morning in with local Morris Dancers and flowed by a beer in pub .
Return home expecting a Wiltshire order as well ,and hopefully the weather holds out so a few other things can be done .

Good morning from Bristol. It is light and full of birdsong.
I had a visit from a young woman working for “Flamingo chicks”, a company that organises “ballet” classes for children with SEN, whether mental and/or physical. Iris used to go to them and absolutely loved it.
They needed people to embellish tutus for eventual sale. The ideas come from various celebs; mine are Angela Rippon, full of sequins and pink hearts. There are two matching, one adult and one child size. Unfortunately, they need to be finished by early next week and I’m rather busy this week.
Today, I’m leading morning prayers as the vicar is away, then I need to go to Waitrose.
This afternoon, I have town Women’s guild, the speaker is uninspiring, I might fall asleep as I have done before 😄

Good morning all it’s like pee soup out there today on the east coast of Fife. My hairdresser is visiting me today and I’m going to see my sister in law who’s in a care home she’s a poor thing with altzeimers.

Good morning and Happy May Day everyone from the good ship Adventure halfway between Crete and Sicily. Nearly 7.30am here and have just made a cup of tea.
Yesterday was spent in Heraklion, Crete. I went on the included tour which was to a little village in the hills. We had a walking tour around its rather scruffy back streets, and did manage to find some interesting things to photograph, which make it look prettier than it actually was!
After that we were taken to a restaurant to sample examples of typical Greek fare: bread, olives, feta pie, cheese and salad. No wine unfortunately, but there was raki on the table, a very fiery type of brandy, similar to grappa.(I had two shots!)
Spent the afternoon on deck with an ice-cream and my book.
Dinner on the ship was a Greek-based menu; I had a lemon and chicken soup, moussaka,.and Loukomades, a doughnut drenched in honey.
Today I have another hot-stone massage booked, and then will just relax on deck again with my book.
Formal night tonight, including a cocktail party, so it's on with the posh frock. I miss DH on these nights, as he looked so good in his white dinner jacket...

Good morning from a dry Oxfordshire, let’s hope the wind drops and we have a warm day.
MzOops arrived yesterday evening with another van load of goods and chattels, some stacked in the garage, some more bags have now filled the cabin and 2 spare bedrooms are full of bags, rucksacks and crates………. I’m trying not to notice it all. She is now between homes so I will have to grin and bear it. By the time we return from holiday she will be here semi permanently, until she completes on the house she is buying.
MrOops is feeling a lot better, more tablets but hey ho. Holiday looks as though it’s on for Friday, I just need to keep getting better from my Vertigo ‘attack’ from 4 weeks ago, it always takes a long time for me to get back to normal.
MissOops will visit today to see her sister and will freak out at the bags everywhere, I will need to contain it all into one room before she comes here to stay for 2 weeks.
Apart from that nothing is happening today!

The washing is on and I have a few routine house jobs today. I still have an unfinished caftan, good job I had that bit of sewing mojo when I did. I will, by hook or by crook, get that finished by the end of the weekend

Off to the gym this morning, then it’s the dreaded ironing mountain. In between I shall pop to either the Farm Shop which has a butchers or the butchers down my road for inspiration for dinner tonight.
I am enjoying hearing your cruise news BlueSapphire as soon as we get news on our building work next start date I am hopefully booking a holiday.

What a lovely idea is “ballet” for those special children, grandMattie but a pity you didn’t have more notice of the task required.
Yesterday's visit to the podiatrist revealed that a corn was causing the pain so that was swiftly treated and my nails trimmed to within an inch of their lives!! I was advised to use Dettol as an ongoing treatment.
Back at home I was delighted to hear from my DD1, living in Australia, who was celebrating her 49th birthday. She was really pleased with flowers I had sent her which had arrived just as she set off for work in the morning. I use a company called Direct to Florist and they never disappoint, with flowers or plants of good quality being sent via a local florist.
This afternoon we are being shown a film about Delius at Wednesday Club at our theatre. I know little about his music but something of his life and health issues. A similar film about Elgar recently was most enlightening.
I think you are doing well to go on a cruise alone, BlueSapphire, even though it brings poignant memories of such holidays taken with DH. It sounds as if you are finding the right balance between time in company, sightseeing trips and time to yourself.

Yesterday was another busy day.More of the same today.School runs and laundry.I will pop into town this morning as I am reorganising/decluttering DGD’s bedroom(with DD’s permission!) and need some storage boxes.Back into town after school to collect DH’s new glasses and also do a food shop.
Your cruise is reminding me of more holidays Blue Sapphire.My cousin’s husband is from Crete and we went several times to visit them there.Sicily is another favourite of mine.
Oops I hope it’s not long until your daughters house is completed.Also that you and your DH are both feeling better for your holiday.

Good morning from Cornwall where it feels bracingly cold, probably because I'm out on my swing seat. The sky above is blue but there's a menacing cumulus cloud growing over the harbour. A rose is rambling down from the wood, a newbie to me so I'll enjoy seeing what colour it is.
I'm a bit sad (and that's rare for me) because I've had to put off my daughter from visiting next week. My knee is becoming unmanageable and being blind she needs me to be mobile. Being the trooper she is she just thanked me for being honest and put some money in my account so I could treat myself as she knows I'm a bit bleagh.
Today I could go to the library craft group but my knee probably won't want to 😄. So I'll don my overalls again and continue The Underground Room Sort out and may even construct something random from wood bits. I found the curve of a chair back down there, which I'm sure could be deconstructed somehow.💡

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Today is very grey indeed. What a change in the weather from yesterday which was warm and sunny. I managed to get the front lawn cut and edged after my volunteer session. First time I’ve been outside in shirtsleeves this year! It did rather knock the stuffing out of me though. Writers group at the library this afternoon; I am struggling to finish something before I go as usual!

Good morning everyone, a grey, dreary damp morning here in south Glos. We did have sporadic sunshine yesterday but a very stiff breeze meant temperatures were decidedly chilly. Rain is forecast for every day for the next week, no surprise there!
Apparently it might warm up early June according to the BBC long range forecast, with rain continuing until then 🤷🏼♀️
I spent several hours yesterday sorting out the new shed, I am very pleased with it. All is neat and tidy now. Then we heaved the wood for the summerhouse through into the back garden because the delivery man refused (‘Covid’ rules apparently 🤬), that really was a step to far for me so a poor night, bum….
Hairdresser this morning then a very quiet day apart from a grocery delivery lunchtime and housework.

Lovely meet up for lunch with my Aunt, cousin, Mum and Aunts BIL and his wife. It was my Aunt's birthday yesterday.
Today I have a Covid jab. It must be my 7th, I have lost count. Hopefully get in the garden this afternoon if it stays dry.

I have so enjoyed our lunches in the garden and sunbathing with a book over the last two days.
Today I’m meeting a friend for pub lunch in the Sussex countryside. Time to catch up with all the news we both have.
Our sparrow is so industrious, joined by his wife. There was a bit of a bust up with another sparrow, probably speculating for potential nesting sites. I would have thought there was sufficient room for dozens in the loft, but clearly the first comers didn’t think so - a question of nimby-ism I think.
May Day - When I was a child I used to dance around the maypole - in our white dresses with flowery headdresses. Does it still happen? Certainly the Morris’s dancers are out in force in local villages like Steyning - a fun start to the summer.
Well enjoy your May Day - however you celebrate it - did anyone go out and wash their face in the dew? I’m still in bed😄

It is the monthly WI coffee morning, which is usually a hoot. OH will pop and see his bees today. He is rather wary after being stung badly the other day. He is still quite swollen.
WI committee meeting this evening. It is OH’s turn to cook, so dinner should be on the table when I get back!

Yesterday was another good day. Dgs2 and I were indeed out in the garden. The restocked sandpit is less stocked and there are quantities of the stuff all over. He took great delight in moving sand from one place to another. I think he might be a builder's mate when he's older. 😂 Later dgs1 was entranced by the nursery rhyme, Mary,Mary, quite contrary and learned the words and tune in the car going home to sing to his parents. He also got a really good report from the nursery. His teacher said he's more than ready for primary one. Whether primary one is ready for him is another matter!
Today is my lazy day. I slept late and enjoyed it. I will have to go out for birthday presents and cards as two of my friends have birthdays today. Both of them are away, so it isn't urgent, but nonetheless I'll get them something today or I'm liable to forget.I might visit mum later, I'll see how the day goes. Chicken and chorizo pasta for dinner. Have a good day all.
Good morning all and like Bonnybanks says , it’s very Misty here on the East coast. The sky is bright and the sun is trying to break through. No wind here at all , very unusual. It was strange to step out the back door and not be blown around. 💨.
Yesterday I painted more outside furniture and then our lovely neighbour came in for tea and cake. It was her birthday so we gave her chocs and flowers. She’s a very good neighbour and the only one we have, so we must look after her.
Today we have a sofa bed arriving - lots of visitors are due this summer, so this will help ease the sleeping arrangements.
I plan to go to the cinema this afternoon to see Mothers Intuition. It looks quite good - I had hoped to see the Amy Winehouse film but that was on last week. I love to see a film in our little cinema here - the oldest one around .
Mizuna what a shame your knee is playing up. Hopefully it will get sorted soon. Not like you to be down in the dumps. 💐.
