I had great news yesterday. DS has a ticket to come over on 24 May! He’ll spend all of June and most of July here. So looking forward to see him.
Had a very busy day yesterday with the church coffee and chat, DD and family to lunch, then the neighbours coming over for tea. I was given flowers and chocolates, both very welcome and kind of the donors. I think the DGDs enjoyed themselves.
I was pooped by the end and had a quiet evening.
Today, just church then the rest of the day spent puzzling how to decorate those tutus.

Good morning all you early risers! It's looking rather damp at the moment here in Lancashire, but I have no plans so I'm not really bothered.

Good morning everyone from Adventure, as we tie up in Malaga, 7.45am here, and a bright sunny day. Having a bit of a lie in as my included tour is not until 10.45, so it will be a leisurely breakfast, albeit a small one as I see there is a curry lunch today!

Had a lazy sea day yesterday, which involved lots of sitting in the sun and reading. I have just finished my third book, and am now re-reading a collection of Somerset Maugham short stories which I love.
I also treated myself to a necklace from the on board shop - it was a bargain and I was pleased with the price.

Dinner was spent with new friends in the Supper Club, followed by an evening of dancing to 60s music.

Good morning from Malta where it’s a beautiful sunny day. The weather is due to change mid-week so I’ll enjoy it while it lasts.

Mass at 11.30, after which my usual FaceTime with my friend in Leicester, then the Men’s Final at 6.30 pm. Nothing else planned, will see how I feel.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a sunny South Yorkshire - and it’s not windy! Could it be time to bring the garden chairs out of the garage I wonder? DS came down and I had an hour with him before he went to the football and then a few hours after the match before he went home. When the season ends I might get to see a bit more of him! I spent most of yesterday afternoon making a chicken curry for today. Making it from scratch is very time consuming but rather therapeutic. We will eat it when DD and the menfolk come round later. I may get some gardening done in the meantime.

Good morning from a bright South Downs. Yesterday I moved into the shade as I got too hot sitting in the sun!🌞

I’ve planted out all but 2 of the dahlias. They are all except 1 the single or double variety - well what I mean is that they are all brilliant for pollinators. I am hoping for a riot of clashing colour in a particular area in the garden.

I now have 2 salvia amstrad to plant - not sure where though - running out of room!

Picked the last of the overwintering cabbages yesterday for supper. Other stuff now coming on, but a bit of a gap because the mice played fast and loose and ate so many seedlings. Still they are getting their comeuppance and are being transported to a safe environment along with seed to keep them going whilst they find their feet. DH reckons they then race me back.

I shall rest more than work today, as energy levels are low - just need to build it back up.

Good morning from dull skies in s somerset and needless to say, rain is coming

I was so inspired to be busy yesterday, indoors and then outside, even tending to the communal paved area. The turning area and road, had been made filthy by big earth-moving machines and never cleaned by the builder. Lots of physical hard work from early to dusk for me and it was jiggering but what a satisfying day

I had to decide between bike ride or work and thought I should take advantage of my work mojo yesterday and do my ride today but these rain clouds roll in from no-where. I don`t need to think of exercise anyway after yesterday, so it will be relaxing indoor stuff today, the nice stuff

Good morning from a gloriously sunny south Glos hillside, a beautiful start to the day 🌞
Yesterday I was busy, I had 80 plug plants to pot up, a mini greenhouse to construct, lots of bits of gardening and I made a shepherds pie and a lemon cheesecake as well as getting all the washing dried outside. Very satisfying but I was whacked by mid afternoon!
Today I have two roses to pot up and two climbing roses to plant. Then I will do a roast dinner before dd returns home this afternoon.

I bought some British asparagus in Aldi. You now get the right portion for 2 people due to shrinkflation.

We are going to our friends house today for a garden party (will be inside if the weather is bad) Lots of catching up with friends we haven’t seen since pre-Covid.

Lovely start to the day but rain likely later so it’s obviously too good to last. Good time with DS and co yesterday but they are off after breakfast as other commitments call, but I appreciate the fact that they take the trouble to check up on me. Best get in the shower before anyone else is up and about, I think, and make the most of the sunshine before it disappears.

Yesterday was a very pleasant day. My friend parked at my house and we walked to the station. It's uphill all the way but blethering helped make us seem short. In Edinburgh, we had a coffee at the Festival Theatre and sat at the same table as the conductor. He was a lovely chap and filled us in on the Christmas ballet. Yesterday was Swan Lake and it was good in parts. The Prima Ballerina was excellent, her partner not so much. There was one young male dancer who was outstanding and your eye was drawn to him whenever he danced. I think he's one to watch. Afterwards we had fish and chips at my house before my friend drove home.
Today I'll have to get food as in low in basics, so a trip to Aldi is on the cards. Then I'm having dgs2 for an hour while DD takes dgs1 to football. In the afternoon I'll visit mum. Have a good day all.

Yesterday was overcast all day, the sun didn’t manage to break through at all.

I love Jersey Royals Mick, they’re worth the money as a treat, enjoy.

We had a GC staying over last night, she asked if she could as she had a quiet weekend. Her sisters were a bit put out but they can come in turn, it’s good to spend time with them individually. I’ll go to Mass this morning, come home for lunch and take her home later in the afternoon.

I’m looking forward to our usual Sunday face tine call with DS and then going to look at some new build properties as DD2 is hoping to move soon.
Lots of people on here busy in the garden, I’m also hoping to get some gardening done later today too - might have to fit in a trip to the garden centre first 😀

Good morning from a damp Cornwall. My dodgy knee and I are recovering from a full day of activity with my granddaughter yesterday. 😄

I understand your delight in a day of heavy work karmalady and can't wait to get back to that in due course. Meanwhile, today I'll do some sewing and if I can walk better than at this moment 😁 will venture up the hill to church at 4o'clock.

We still have 3 dgc here and the boys are itching to go out and play football. Hopefully Devil among the Tailors might keep them quiet until a more reasonable time.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Another overcast day.
I spent much of yesterday gardening. I got some new perennials and a friend brought some things she had split so lots of planting. Sorted the front border too, digging out lots of muscari. They had really begun to take over and were pretty against the red tulips but if they increased again the border would be swamped. There will be plenty oftiny bulbs left behind for next year.
Church this morning then probably a quiet day with a bit more pottering!
