H and M are in Nigeria now, they met up in London and flew off together. Horrible self-serving couple
Have you met them? Or are you just believing everything the tabloids say?
Seems a bit harsh? All that way too. He landed in the UK a few hours ago. Without Meghan and the children.
From the Telegraph just now:
“ The Duke of Sussex will not meet the King this week, the Telegraph can reveal.
Prince Harry, 39, landed in London on Tuesday morning and had made no secret of his hopes to see his father during his visit.
But a spokesperson for the Duke said: “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.
“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
I just think if the King doesn't ’find time’ to see his son then Harry might well just think ‘sod it’ next time/if he comes over.
I know Harry bad mouthed the family in his book ‘Spare’ but still …
What do you think?

Glorianny the hat is red, no mention of a coat
No but purple is mentioned
When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me
I always imagine a purple coat.
At 42 Akshata Murty is hardly “old” and I can’t see any connection with the red hat or wearing purple poem
(Seen arriving at St Pauls in green BTW*
Unless you are thinking of this pic of Meghan? The coat is red, though
The picture I was referring to is he one posted earlier on this thread of the green coat with the ochre hat.
It's nothing to do with purple or red really. Just a hat that doesn't go.
Sorry for presenting my musings. I should know they are always controversial.
The hat in the last picture looks good. And any colours can be put together. Oh and it isn't really to do with age now is it. It's about age in the future.
The poor Nigerians are having to pay for the H and M pr stunt in Nigeria. She wants to be crowned queen of west africa. She put caucasian down on all her past job applications and now she is suddenly 43% ? nigerian. Yes, right. More self-serving. Nothing to do with invictus, not really

So aren't the next Invictus games in Nigeria?
That seems to be the one thing you forgot to mention.
They attended a school, Harry talked of mental health, Megan
talked of Megan
Glorianny Nigeria only joined the Invictus family in May 2022 along with Columbia.
Nigerian team debuted in Düsseldorf 2023
Nigerian Invictus team are hoping to host The Games in the coming years, no date has been set yet.
Facts, Glorianny, facts …
The next Invictus Games are to be held in Vancouver Whistler (2025)
The short list for the 2027 Games is made up of Washington DC, USA and Birmingham U.K.
I like reds with purples. Not always but often.

Dickens Harry announced his father was too busy to see him,
hence the media went with this, we don’t know if there were questions about visiting his father. He has brought much on himself because he talks much about himself

I'm not disputing Harry's past behaviour Anniebach - do I need to keep reiterating it? To use a well-known phrase, washing your dirty linen in public, giving intimate details about family members' alleged deeds - particularly in this case where 'the family' cannot respond - is crass.
The point I am making is that certain parts of the media are loving this circus. It's meat and drink to them.
The RF read the press - do individuals like Burrell and other royal 'experts' / busy bodies, who contribute to the endless editorials which speculate about them and Harry, ever consider how they, the RF, feel when they see yet another article dissecting the whole family saga?
... we don’t know if there were questions about visiting his father...
According to the BBC, Harry's press agent received 'enquiries' about his plans to visit his father. Of course, the BBC could be telling lies, and no part of the media made any enquiries whatsoever. I tend to believe that they probably did - that is why high-profile people have press agents - to field all the 'enquiries' about this, that and the other. And considering it's a question that a huge amount of people appear to care about, why would the media not ask it?
I'm very aware that the villain in this family rupture is Harry, but please let's not pretend that some parts of the media are not exploiting the situation in order to sell. The bigger the readership, the more advertising revenue the paper attracts.
Oh apologies they are only there to promote and encourage the involvement of Nigeria in the games and visit injured servicemen. I fully acknowledge any mistakes.
Glorianny 👍🏻
👍🏻 from me too.
Dickens I definitely agree re the media, I have said often it
wants broken marriages, affairs etc, William must be so boring
.harry is doing the same as his mother did.

Having had cancer treatment twice (I don't do things by halves!) and experienced it in the peace and quiet of anonymity with no intrusive questions being asked and only my family 'watching' me, I feel it would be a really nice moral gesture if the media (some of it) put an embargo on itself and left both Charles and Catherine and the family to enjoy the same privilege.
Notwithstanding that I'm a torn Monarchist / Republican, I do feel sympathy for the very public profiles these two endure which means they have to consider their 'public' face when they might well just want to curl up on the sofa and be damned with everything else.
The intrusiveness of all these articles etc churning over the Harry / Charles situation is just one more thing to endure. Constantly.
Harry has now departed and is I believe in Nigeria already. I hope the media can resist epilogues and further analysis.
Smileless2012
The parable doesn't fit in this instance Norah but it appears for some, to be a convenient stick to beat Charles.
The fact that the returning son accepts what he has done is wrong, asks for his father's forgiveness and has no expectations of being received as his son, but is willing to return to his father's home as a servant appears to be conveniently overlooked when comparing H to the prodigal.
Thank you.
Our parents sent us to Catholic school to work out our faith.. the remainder of these 'interesting' posts ... I'm still working out.
Dickens so sorry you have suffered cancer twice. The media
isn’t known for moral gestures .
Who can recall the digs about the late Queen and Lord Porchester her racing manager for many years , I don’t watch the Crown but I did read an affair was hinted at in this. I
We have no idea what Harry said to his father when they met up. Perhaps he did apologise. However isn't the apology unnecessary really? When the older brother protests about the welcome his brother is given the father doesn't say "Well he's apologised". He says "Your brother was lost and is found."
The church may emphasise the importance of repentance. The story doesn't.
Well, I always felt sorry for the brother who had stayed at home working, then was sidelined when the prodigal returned.
I realise that makes me not very nice.

Yeah, well, she's probably not as old as you, she's 44. I could be wrong of course, often am.
So she didn't have to wear purple.
Glorianny. So you believe Harry is lost ?
Just to clarify, the jade green coat with the ochre hat was worn by Mrs. Sunak on a September Sunday in Balmoral. The green headband was worn on a sunny May day in London. Appropriate attire for both occasions, though yes, the headband is nicer.
I rather like red and purple. Nobody wore it better than this!
