The BBC are no longer impartial about anything. They haven’t been for a number of years. I still watch their news programmes because they’re well put together, but I’m aware that I’m watching the BBC’s version of the the truth. I suppose we could call it ^their truth.^

Since being on soc ial media in general, I have become increasingly aware how biased some people are. Which heavily influences their thoughts, speech and writings, at times.

I dont think the BBC is immune to that phenomenen either.

I was looking at the video of Meghan Markle addressing the Nigerians. Did she said what I thought she said? The problem is she talked a lot of twaddle so I don’t even know whether I get hold of the right end of the stick.

“Young Nigerian girls, when they see someone like her who looks like them, they will realise that they too can be successful and powerful.”

That is so patronising claiming to be a role model for young Nigerian women when she is an American, not a Nigerian, and don’t even look like them.

Well maybe they can be as 'successful and powerful' if they find an unsuspecting prince to marry Spore.

Yes. There's an interesting comment made, that if H & M had stuck it out, they would by now have stepped in for Charles and Kate who are ill, and be reaping the benefits of being centre stage. What I guess the reporter means is that the glitz and glam Meghan desperately craves would finally have come her way.
I think the British public would have loved and respected her far more for supporting the Royal Family, her family, when the chips were down than swanning round Nigeria. We might even have tolerated her celebrity status longings.

But no one worldwide had heard of her. She was earning a good living but was hardly well known, was she? She would not have been feted in Nigeria on her own merits.

Yes she has, but she needs to sharpen up her speeches.
She addressed the UN Women Conference years ago and was a far better orator then.

They are more what someone termed word salad now, meaningless utterances. Some schoolgirls lapped it up but, if analysed, there was no meaningful content at all.
