Good Morning Everyone,
Woke up to bright and dry start here in brackley if only after a few hours sleep.
Yesterdays trip to West End to see "Sister Act" with Beverley knight was brilliant , performance etc , although she and other who follows are only doing the show for up to 12 weeks ,cast wise was great and the Nuns even prior to 2nd act walk through the stalls .
Today , normal routine , i will catch up with sleep later .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a dry Bristol.
Nice to learn that you really enjoyed your outing to London last night, Mick.
I had a quiet day yesterday, and a really good nap in the afternoon after my own evening out the previous night.
I made some marmalade with tinned oranges.
Dinner and child minding at DD’s went well. We dined in the garden and the children played outside; DGD1 showing me some of the skills she developed at her circus club.
Just Spanish today.
Carpe diem, dear friends 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from another glorious day in s somerset

I am so glad that the performance was so good Mick, sounds memorable

A beautiful sunny day yesterday, I need to do the wardrobe changeover but not quite yet but I made a small start. Later I spent some time putting up temporary shading, I noticed that the baby cucumbers were struggling and my garden is very warm.

Needless to say I did spend all of the afternoon reading outside on my recliner. Similar this afternoon but first will be an extended bike ride, Got to make the most of this perfect cheery weather

Have a good day

Good morning, another glorious sunny morning here in south Glos 👏
Yesterday i pootled around, not doing much but enjoying the sunshine.
Today more of the same.
I’m hoping that the missing parts for the summerhouse come today but not holding my breath; the whole shebang has been so disappointing and disheartening.
As the forecast next week isn’t good I can see it finally being assembled in pouring rain and Ethel woodwork being soaked 😵‍💫
Hey ho……🤷🏼‍♀️🌹

RosesandLilac Fri 10-May-24 06:07:40

Ethel???? the 🙄

Marydoll Fri 10-May-24 06:18:07

Good morning all fromvGlasgow, where it is 7°C.

I have reported three SPAM posts in the last few minutes. I have no idea whether they have already been reported or not, Therefore, I have stated this on the thread.

We had an exhausting day with Baydoll yesterday, most of it outdoors in the sunshine. She has turned into such a character.
I have a shaggy rug in the conservatory, which looks clean, however she kept finding minute crumbs, deep in the pile and handing them to us. I felt as if she was judging me. 🤣

I have a busy day ahead, shopping for food for our holiday next week, hoping that my unobtainable prescriptions have been sourced and decorating the church for First Communion tomorrow. Three prescriptions were unobtaibable on Wednesday. sad
I'm struggling to walk at the moment, my joints are so painful and I am very slow and decidedly grumpy! I will need to be on my best behaviour. 😉

I wish you all the best day possible.

Good morning from Borealis as we approach The Outer Hebrides for our day in Stornaway.

Yesterday we had a wonderful time in Belfast, helped by being blessed with beautiful sunny weather and an excellent local guide for our coach tour of the city. Highlights were Belfast Castle, Queen's University, City Hall and Stormont. In contrast, we drove through areas like Falls Road and Shanklin Road where murals depicted the troubled times in N.I and elsewhere in the world.

Back on board we waved good bye to the Emerald Isle and enjoyed the tranquility of the Earth Room which is a section of the library devoted to the environment.

Thank you for the supportive comments which I was able to read as we held on to 4G until early evening. Your interest is appreciated.

Wishing everyone a good day. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩

Good morning from a warm dry Cambridgeshire. It is moving day for DD2 at last after a week of all hands on deck preparing the house. New beginnings for her. We are certainly looking forward to our holiday, one week to go! I’m pleased you enjoyed Sister Act Mick I saw it at the end of April and what a brilliant show loved Ruth Jones and Lesley Joseph too! Hope everyone has a good day enjoying some warmth and sunshine at last💐

GrannyGravy13 Fri 10-May-24 06:29:28

Morning all, pleased you enjoyed Sister Act Mick

I had a busy day yesterday, catching up with jobs that I have been putting off. Sorted out my paperwork (ISA’s etc in case I suddenly fall off my perch ) Then i blitzed my underwear drawer )I know how to live in the fast lane 🤣) Finally as the weather was glorious I washed all the winter jackets that where machine washable and hand washed all my scarves, wraps & remaining sweaters.

DH jet washed patio furniture, lopped overhanging branches off of a few trees and filled up the spa pool ready for the summer 🌞

Gym first thing, usual school/pre school pick up, then DH and I are off to a local Malaysian restaurant for dinner.

Have a good day everyone 🙋‍♀️

GrannyGravy13 Fri 10-May-24 06:31:10

Ashcombe thank you for your cruise update 🙋‍♀️

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It is set to be another warm one in South Yorkshire. Good to hear you enjoyed your show, Mick; nothing like live theatre is there?
Yesterday’s walk around the woods was lovely with the sunlight filtering through the trees and lighting up the last of the bluebells. They are mostly going over now. Had lunch with DD and called in at two garden centres on the way home, then worked in the garden after tea. GS phoned for a chat just after nine. Today, a morning cleaning, afternoon volunteering and more gardening.
Ash in all the time we lived in Ulster, I never got to visit Belfast - something that is set to be remedied next year hopefully. Thank you for the photographs.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Susan56 Fri 10-May-24 06:58:35

Good morning from Shropshire.Another sunny day forecast.

A lot achieved yesterday.DH worked in the garden and I worked in the house.Today I have a few phone calls to make and prescriptions to order before the usual Friday school pick up.

Thinking of Doodle, Kalu and Urms and all with mountains to climb.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

kittylester Fri 10-May-24 07:01:10

Good morning all from an already sunny North Leicestershire.

I must get the ironing done before it gets too warm and then nip to Waitrose. Sudden warm weather throws my food planning into disarray.

Dh saw an ACP at the GP's yesterday and has been diagnosed with a chest infection. He has been prescribed abs so hopefully will stop coughing soon - please.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Bonnybanko Fri 10-May-24 07:10:11

Good morning all from what’s going to be another warm day here on the east coast of Fife. My back garden is starting to look quite nice for my annual family and friends BBQ apart from the light patches on the lawn where our wee dog continues to pee. But hey ho it’s what it is.

have a good day enjoy as best you can

Whitewavemark2 Fri 10-May-24 07:10:31

Good morning from a sunny South Downs. Another warm day forecast which is so welcome.

I am recovering from post viral syndrome which I have had for years, but luckily it only rears its head very infrequently now, but when it does I have learnt that I can’t fight it but go with the flow and rest - if I do that it only takes about 10 days to go🤞 so I’m using this lovely weather as an excuse to just sit and do very little.

Trying Marcus Wareings lambs chops with Mediterranean stew for supper. Not on the barbecue though. I will freeze stew that isn’t eaten for another time.

Enjoy your day all

Peace and harmony to our world.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Another 20° day. My pots needed watering last night for the first time in ages.
A walk to various shops for bits and bobs this morning. DH is off on another fishing trip tomorrow and never plans what he needs in advance.
Love to all 🦩 x

Georgesgran Fri 10-May-24 07:36:43

Good morning from Durham. The sun eventually broke through yesterday and today looks much the same. Fairly warm too - made for a bit of a disturbed night, so window open!
Met a friend yesterday with disturbing news of her DD and family, supposedly enjoying an 8 week holiday in Canada.
I’m pleased I have an ‘empty’ today and shall lay out my holiday clothes ready to pack.
Best wishes to all. X

Gingster Fri 10-May-24 07:38:51

Good morning all and the sun is still with us. ☀️.

Yesterday we potted up bedding plants and weeded the drive so everything is looking fresh and new. Looking forward to all the summer colours after the dreary winter/spring we’ve had.

We washed bedding yesterday and more today. Lovely to get it dry in the garden.

Today I’ll bake for tomorrow’s visitors and have another tidy around.
We’ll meet our Friday friends at lunchtime and see how everyone is.

Ash lucky you with the weather. Hope it lasts for your time away.

Roseandlilac fingers crossed your summerhouse can be erected today.

Enjoy the day the best you can 🌸

Good morning from a lovely bright and sunny day on the Essex coast.
DH's visit to his consultant went well and hopefully the procedure he needs will be carried out within about 4 weeks.
The start of GCSE'S seemed OK, teenagers don't say much.
We had a lovely evening celebrating DH'S granddaughter's 13th birthday.
Bits and bobs to do today.
Have the best day everyone xx

Ladyleftfieldlover Fri 10-May-24 07:44:16

Morning all from a warm West Oxfordshire. My iPhone is playing up so I’ll pop into the Apple Store in Oxford later. While I’m there our gardener will be doing some planting and tidying up.
I think we’ve finally got another cleaner. She is calling in to see us on Saturday. They are like gold dust round here. Our previous lady has moved out of the village having split up with her partner.
Have a good day, especially those of you with difficulties.

Grandmabatty Fri 10-May-24 07:44:30

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 10° and fairly sunny. Mick I'm glad you enjoyed the show. Marydoll fingers crossed that first communion goes well.
Yesterday I pottered about the house and garden. In the afternoon, I worked on a mixed media piece which I started months ago. It's inspired by Georgia O'Keefe's flower paintings.
Today I'm looking after dgs2 for a couple of hours while DD gets her hair done. I have got a washing on and will get it outside soon. I love hanging out washing, sad person that I am. I'll do some more work on the painting this afternoon, once dgs2 is away home. Have a good day all.

Pittcity Fri 10-May-24 07:44:31

Posted before reading the thread. Belfast is a lovely city to visit, but so sad to see that the divisions are still there.
You've given me the idea of putting some winter stuff in the machine and will reproof my spring mac while it's dry.

Morning Mick, morning All from a sunny corner of Somerset.

Afternoon tea was delicious yesterday, we couldn’t manage all the cakes and brought a box home. I can feel my clothes shrinking! Volunteering this morning. Will put the washing machine on before I go and hope Mr C remembers to hang the clothes out when it finishes. We’ll skip TaiChi this afternoon, need to install the new plants.

Sounds a good night out mick, pleased all is going well with the cruise ash. Hold on to hope roses, you will have your summerhouse. Hope those elusive prescriptions turn up maryd and your daughters move is trouble free ivy

Wishing you all the best Friday it can be.
