If it dries up later I’ll have a walk to Granchester and go into a nice cafe there, if not I’ll probably have a look around the local garden centre. I’m looking after both DGSs tonight as DD1 and Sil are going out somewhere

Good morning from Derbyshire where we have torrential rain.
Spent the day in Bakewell yesterday, most enjoyable but very busy. Visited the Old House museum, a Tudor house. Thought we would have a sandwich after and visited a cafe, my open salmon sandwich was surrounded by tortilla chips that were so chilli laden they were inedible. I have an intolerance to chilli. DD and SIL had baked potato with beans which were apparently covered in chilli too 🤢 I had to take tablets to calm my mouth and we found an ice cream parlour and enjoyed a cone.
Too wet to walk around outside today so we are going to Chatsworth.

Good morning from a sunny Spain, as usual it’s calm, later the breeze will pick up and I will be searching for somewhere sheltered, it’s a lovely house and garden with plenty of nooks and seating so I can settle with a book and watch the lemons ripen on the tree, also the huge rubber tree is dropping some leaves as new ones open, they crash to the ground like pieces of wood.

MrOops felt better yesterday, so we ate out ! Yaay, fingers crossed he’s turned a corner, just as well as the tablets finish tomorrow.

Usually we say ‘if only we could move our house here, it would be lovely. This time we are wishing we had this house back at home, although I prefer the weather here I’m finding that 2 weeks away is enough, my vertigo is much improved so I hope to be able to tackle the garden and plant up my pots upon my return.

Good morning from South Lanarkshire. Normal service has resumed, it’s pouring rain again.

I probably overdid it at the charity shop as I’m a bit sore this morning. The bric area looked like a jumble sale, I couldn’t bear it and rearranged the shelves to look more appealing.

I’m meeting a Gransnetter this morning so getting our local coach service into Glasgow. It’s run by the Climate Action group and has made a huge difference to the residents of our small town.

Good morning all and we have torrential rain here in Essex.

I’ll pop over to DD’s later as she’s not good at the moment. She’s had two really good weeks so this is upsetting.

I had a lovely long lunch with my friend yesterday and we’ve decided on a Hovercraft experience in September. I’ll book it today.

Mick I have the drops too. Only one in each eye at night at the moment. As Ash mentioned, the drops do last a long time but you have to discard them after a month.

Good morning from a sunny and windy Suffolk. Goodness,40 posts when I signed in just now! I’ve quickly scrolled through them and see many happy birthday messages to you Marydoll.

I’ll add mine and say I’ll always remember it as it is DS’s 44th today. When he was born,it was a Day of Action in London where we lived at the time. DH didn’t want to risk driving into central London because of parking restrictions, there was no public transport and very few taxis so he had to walk much of the day from Hackney.

A day to remember indeed.

I have a pedicure this morning and more reading for my meeting tomorrow. I do find reading documents on,one more tiring than the paper versions we used to get.

Good morning Mick and everyone from rainy Carlisle.
After putting in eyedrops for decades, Mick, I'm still Mrs Messy at the job! Good luck with them!

Yesterday I got a prompt call from the surgery where I'd asked to speak to the nurse practitioner I'd seen last week. No way...they insisted I come in and see an actual doctor. Which I did in the afternoon. Result, my chest is clear, no more antibiotics required.
There's a different doctor every time, not just my experience from talking to other patients. I always wonder what's going on.

Nothing much on today, I'm going to tidy up, give myself a pedicure and relax at this and that.

Good morning from a very wet but mild Cambridgeshire. I was lying in bed reading the Good Mornings and to my horror realised I had my DD2’s raincoats and those of GC at my house! So as they live in the next village jumped in the car to drop them off before the school run! Then popped to Morrisons for freshly baked croissants and home for breakfast. Today I need to do housework and pack for our holiday.
