I watch my 4 month old grandson once/week from 8a-6p. Since he was born he has been colicky and only “catnaps “ for about 20 min 3X/day. Otherwise he’s crying or feeding. He takes the bottle fine even though he’s breastfed. I’m at my wit’s end even though I raised 3 kids w/o any problems. Today he cried for 4 hrs straights except for the 20 minutes while taking a bottle. I walk holding him, I rock him. I pat him. I do everything I can think of yet he howls. He doesn’t cry with my husband and when my husband came home from work today, I started crying saying that my 64yo nerves can’t handle this. I’m a trauma RN so I’m used to chaos and stress but this is doing me in. I don’t tell my daughter or son-in-law for fear of upsetting them but I’m seriously considering stopping. They don’t let him cry which means they keep him in a swaddle to their chest, bounce on exercise balls, continuously interact and entertain him. HELP!
