Good morning from a dull, dismal Sefton. It is damp underfoot. Will I get my washing out on the line & dry today? Yesterday didn't quite go to plan. The boiler servicing man turned up at 8 o'clock just as I got in the bathroom. My intended shower had to be abandoned until he'd finished which turned out to be much later due to 'technical difficulties'. Our morning had to be quickly rearranged. A quick lunch then train into town for a matinee performance of "Drop the dead donkey" with the original cast. It was as daft as it always was & raised many laughs. Two zoom exercise classes & a food shop this morning. I hope to get out into the garden this afternoon. Lots of lush growth, some in the wrong place & a few bare patches to fill.
Unanswered discussions is full of spam grand Mattie Too many to count. It is getting ridiculous.
Take care all.

Good morning from a dull and grey Black Country

A walk yesterday where it remained dry. Coffee and chat in cafe afterwards, where it started to rain, which persisted all afternoon.

Took Mum for a Covid jab, where the Nurse couldn't believe her age (94). Then we went to her local pub for lunch.

Today back over to Mums, as we are meeting DS in Wolverhampton in his lunch break for lunch out again!

DGD3 is in the middle of her GCSE's at the moment. It was Maths yesterday! She seems pretty laid back about it all.

Thinking of all with health struggles and worries.

Morning all, I have had to change my plans as The Imp is still off colour and unable to go to pre-school, and DD has to go into work. My day will be led by how he feels.

Marydoll so pleased, you have enjoyed your holiday.

Doodle sending you (((hugs))) at this difficult time.

Gingster I have spent more hours of my life at Monkey Business than I care to remember 🤣🤣🤣

Have a good day folks 🙋‍♀️

Morning from a sunny S Hants, yesterday was house cleaning and a great football match, MrJ’s team through to the play off final, my team play tonight.
Later I’ll pick up our granddaughter from today’s GCSE via the farm shop, call in the butcher to order for the BH, grandson being dropped this evening to watch the football.
Ashcombe that dental appointment makes me shudder, bonne chance to MrA.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is dry at the moment. I got my new plants in the ground yesterday morning before the deluge. Lunch and a nice chat with DD who seemed rather flustered yesterday - sometimes small things conspire to tip us over the edge a bit - so needed a big hug.
A volunteer session at the school this afternoon.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. A mild start.

I've had to swap my volunteer shift to this afternoon due to others' holidays. I don't like it but hopefully I can change back.

My df comes to dinner on Fridays so I need time to cook and prepare.

The architect is coming late afternoon to chat about his/my future plans.

Still no further with my leaky roof and fallen ceiling.

I had hoped we were going to see your exasperated face MD over Articulate. 🤣😂

I took DGD to Enster/Anstruther last year for the boat to the Isle of May, puffin watching. There was such a queue for the fish restaurant we couldn't wait. we ended up in Mcdonalds in Edinburgh.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning all from the Black country where the sun has just appeared after nonstop rain yesterday.
Ironing and reading are the plans for today, meeting friends at the club this evening.
Safe travels those on the move, virtual hugs where needed.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire, currently 15°C and feeling chilly.

Yesterday the car passed its MOT with no problem. I had a good catch up with my financial advisor and have some plans in place going forward. Today I will try to catch up on my chores.

Safe journey home Marydoll, you sound like the break has done you so much good..

You have certainly earned that Chinese meal GrandmaBatty.

As always, thinking of those facing tough times, you are always in my thoughts. Virtual hugs to Doodle, Kalu, Urms and all.

Happy Friday to you all 🌹

Grammaretto, we are currently sitting in Macdonald's, ten minutes from home! We had peviously planned lunch en route, but had a straight run home and I was seriously flagging..

Grandmabatty Fri 17-May-24 12:57:13

Marydoll, I'm very partial to a cheeky wee MacDonald meal occasionally. I hope you enjoyed it.

I have a Big Mac, fries and chocolate milkshake every couple of years. The last time was at Sydney airport last August. Yum.
