Good morning from a clear Bristol. Lots of sun on the way.
Apart from church yesterday, I did little as my arm was very sore after my vaccination on Saturday. I’m glad didn’t feel too unwell.
Today, I’m off to Tesco driven by my neighbour and shall try to get some bedding plants, then if my arm is up to it, dig up the soil around the Choisyas, and put the plants in. It is due to rain by the end of the week..
I’ve got WI this afternoon and I’ll go to the building society in the next village to get some money out at the same time.
I hope everything goes smoothly for you today. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a hillside in south Glos, it’s a cooler start this morning with cloudy skies.
Yesterday I finished sorting out my biggest pots, can now plant out my bedding plants in them and put more plants in two borders. I enjoyed sitting in the summerhouse yesterday for the first time, it’s been named ‘Mum’s Shed’ by DH, probably totally apt!
Today dog walks, change the bed and hopefully finish knitting the second sock.
Hope today goes well for you all 🌹

Good morning from a bright, sunny start in Torbay with another day of wall to wall sunshine promised.

Thank you for all the birthday greetings yesterday. I had a lovely relaxing day and enjoyed contact with all three offspring. DGD was attending her extra ballet class (Ballet Boost) which takes place every couple of months in Stockport. Today she’s off to camp with her classmates in Y6. Meanwhile DGS2 and his Dad were at Wembley to see Crewe lose 2-0 to Crawley.

Today we plan to help with the annual organisation of sending out the brochure of our new season of plays at our theatre, referred to colloquially as “stuffing”! Lunch is provided as an inducement to volunteers. (Maybe that explains the use of word….!)

I hope everyone sees some sunshine today. 🦩💐😎🥰🦩

Hola Mick and all who follow from Andalusia where I’m up with sparrowfart for no good reason other than Mr PG is snoring for Wales…🤬

A good bottoming of mi Casa will be undertaken this morning along with a charity shop donation - I’m positively evangelical in my decluttering of wardrobe as I get rid of stuff I haven’t worn in the last two years 😇

I’ve only been tempted by one dress and one top (shan’t mention the beads, earrings and wallet…) since I got here so that eases my conscience!

Belated birthday greetings to Ash and anyone else with celebrations 🥂 a drop of cava always on the go here…😉

Will pop in later to read of your doings….

Good morning from South Lanarkshire, looks like another beautiful day ahead.

Yesterday’s tea party was so lovely, the children all played together happily while the adults chatted in the sunshine. My heart was full.

Charity shop stint today then helping out with some church admin.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from Malta where it is cloudy and hot with more of the same forecast for the rest of the week.

The boys are both still asleep having been up in the night.

Wishing you all a good day☀️

Grandmabatty Mon 20-May-24 06:04:46

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and cloudy. It took a while for the clouds to lift yesterday. GrandMattie was that covid or shingles? I'm still waiting to hear about both.
Yesterday was a nice day. Aldi shop first thing, then I watered the garden. Afterwards I finished my oriental poppy painting. In the afternoon I visited mum who was mainly present. Then I nipped along the ward to have a quick chat with my primary two teacher! She was a great teacher and I was sorry to see her so unwell. I checked with her husband if it would be ok to visit and he was happy as was she. Afterwards I had a lovely chat with my neighbour across the road. She makes ceramics in a wee studio she has in her garden and she was showing me the Christmas decorations she is making. I'll definitely put an order in.
Today is very early childcare day. Lots of playing in my bedroom no doubt. It's dgs2's favourite place at the moment. Gammon for dinner tonight. Have a good day all.

Georgesgran Mon 20-May-24 06:14:33

Good morning from Durham, where it’s cool and cloudy.
Arrived home safely yesterday from Menorca - I’ll be dropping a line to Tui!
A busy week ahead, meeting a friend for coffee and new glasses to collect this morning, shopping, laundry and gardening later.
Best wishes to all. X

grandMattie Mon 20-May-24 06:21:30

batty, it was COVID. I had the shingles one when I was 70.
I always feel unwell and/or sore arm after any vaccination.

Good morning all from the promise of a very sunny and warm day today here on the east coast of Fife. My hairdresser is coming today I’m in need of a trim, I’m looking forward to my family visiting on Thursday I must look presentable for them. I’ll be busy busy busy.

Have a good day my friends you are all so important to me.

karmalady Mon 20-May-24 06:44:25

Good morning from s somerset and the weather is already beautiful, sunny and a perfect temperature

Bits and bobs yesterday, all satisfying, baking for the freezer, sitting out, titivating in the garden, sewed the collar on my hippy top.

Very similar today with a craft group gathering later.

Have a good day

Greyduster Mon 20-May-24 06:44:48

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Overcast and cool in South Yorkshire at the moment and promises to be so all day - a relief from yesterday’s blazing temperatures. I didn’t do a lot. Lunch was easy - lasagne and salad, which DS loves, followed by strawberries and cream. A chap who has just finished cleaning all my neighbour’s patio areas and did a very good job, came across to give me a quote to clean mine, which I was happy to accept. It will be nice to have it looking pristine this summer.
Chiropodist is coming early this morning, after which I will go out for a walk and then finish off some gardening.
I like your painting, Grandmabatty.
Have the best day you can folks.

cornergran Mon 20-May-24 06:59:47

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is forecast a warm, sunny day.

A lot of garden sitting and some cutting back of the montana yesterday once ironing and Mr C’s haircut were accomplished. We’ll wander out today, hope to get to a rhododendron wood - if we can find it.

My thoughts are with doodle this morning. Have the best day you can everyone.

brook2704 Mon 20-May-24 07:08:06

Good morning everyone from a grey and misty Inverness, hopefully the sun will be out later
What a gorgeous picture grandmabatty you’re very talented, well done
Hoping to get on with some gardening today, there’s so much to do just now as everything is growing so quickly. Surprisingly for here we’ve not had and rain for ages and the garden is really dry so some young plants need attention. First things though we’ve got the school run as we had both DGC staying over last night. DGS is just up but no sign of DGD waking up yet
Thoughts with Doodle today
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 20-May-24 07:08:28

Good morning from another cloudy day, the sun came out late morning yesterday and we had a lovely sunny day.

More pottering in the garden later and a dog walk.

Have a good day everyone, hugs to those who are unwell or stressed.

luluaugust Mon 20-May-24 07:13:52

Good morning from a bright W Kent. Off to see a DF this morning to sort ourselves out. It is quite a long drive but some is through countryside so quite gentle.
Best wishes to all

Whitewavemark2 Mon 20-May-24 07:18:58

Good morning from a glorious day on the South Downs. Another day like yesterday, where we went for a walk high up near Chanctonbury Ring, overlooking both the Sussex Weald and the sea. It was picture perfect, with stunning blue skies, lambs gambolling and skylarks proving how much better they are than Vaughan Williams 😄. Later we dipped down into Steyning for lunch.

Today housework. DH has chiropodist. So just a quick local walk and a bit of gardening - hopefully.

The birds are all busy feeding their young although they haven’t yet fledged, but once they do there will be chaos in the garden for a few short weeks with the rowdy youngsters demanding food and more food at the tops of their voices. The parents are busy cleaning up the roses etc of all the aphids to feed the young.

I’m nearly at the end of clearing the garden after winter. It has taken me weeks and weeks, as I decided to be really thorough in all the cutting back, pruning and digging over, but it has paid off as the garden is looking good now. Just one area to go more or less then finished and back to my normal summer routine of weekly weeding, cutting and feeding. DH has a cucumber ready to cut - he sowed them back in Jan/Feb I think and tomatoes that will be ripening soon. So a lovely time in the garden.

Chelsea on - what more could I want😄😄.

Enjoy your day all

Peace and harmony to our world.

kittylester Mon 20-May-24 07:21:57

Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.

Not a lot happening here, again, so I will try to through the heap of stuff on my desk. DH off to the gym.

Have the best day possible everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 20-May-24 07:24:37

Morning all from a sunny S E Essex 🌞

I have the gym first thing, followed by tea and a good old natter. I’ll co e home and feed the washing machine 🤣. Then at 2.30pm I am off to DS4’s as DiL has to go out so I will watch GS and then we will walk down to pick up GD from school. I will stay with them until either DiL or DS is back (whoever is first home)

Beautiful picture Grandmabatty

Wishing you all a good day 🙋‍♀️

Marydoll Mon 20-May-24 07:28:29

Good morning all,

I have lost my novella, probably just as well. It was a rant about of the saga of DH and his antics, power hosing the decking including everything else in the garden and the washing! 😭

I am supposed to have a clinician's visit today, regarding my new treatment. Not heard a word, although I should gave had a text message yesterday. 😡

All those who are sad and struggling are as always in my prayers.

Alygran Mon 20-May-24 07:29:28

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Cloudy and cool so far. We didn’t get the promised sunshine yesterday.
Off to the charity meeting this morning in Richmond. I may walk round to Easby Abbey afterwards then home to do the minutes and actions from last week’s meeting.
Have a good day everyone.

Pittcity Mon 20-May-24 07:32:54

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. Another warm, dry day.
DH has a hospital appointment this morning. I shall go with him to listen properly. He has waited a year for the appointment after being told 18 months. It is now a follow up as he saw the consultant privately and is on medication. We are lucky that we can easily walk to the hospital as parking is atrocious.
A big shop is needed this afternoon.

Thinking of Doodle and sending love to all 🦩 x

Gingster Mon 20-May-24 07:35:31

Good morning all and it’s set to be sunny again.☀️.

Yesterday was lovely, we sat in the garden for dinner and afternoon tea, watching little DGD practice her gymnastics.

Nothing much on today - seems to be all or nothing at the moment. I’ll pop into town to get a few things that I need - sympathy card, dog chews and pick up my eye drop prescription.

Lovely
painting GB. 👍.

Take care and have a good day. 🌸
