If I ever remember to win the lottery (really should get 'round to it, I know ) I will -
Employ someone purely to refill the birdbath, 5 times already today!grin

What trivial thing would you splash out on ?

Grandmadinosaur Mon 20-May-24 13:23:22

A personal chauffeur 🤣

Dogmum2 Mon 20-May-24 13:25:12

Changing our bed! Of all the 'jobs' it's the one i would gladly pay someone to come in and do.

keepcalmandcavachon Mon 20-May-24 13:33:12

Ooh, both these are way more life enhancing than mollycoddling the starlings, like your style Grandmadinosaur & Dogmum2

A personal chef. My dream is to present him/her with my desired menu for the day and then, in early evening, to sit down at a beautiful dining table and be served a delicious meal washed down with some extremely expensive wine.

Georgesgran Mon 20-May-24 13:43:27

I like the idea of a personal chef, but authorised to just provide very small portions and no treats!
I really believe that’s the only way I’ll be able to lose weight!

Fresh flowers every day
Freshly washed & line dried bed linen every day
My husbands would be brand new socks every day

Hire someone to do the housework, washing, ironing and gardening leaving me to be a Lady of leisure!

Washing windows, inside and out.

Valet car.

sharon103 Mon 20-May-24 14:01:59

Someone to do my housework, a gardener and a cook.
I do enjoy gardening but the garden is far too big now I'm older.

Grammaretto Mon 20-May-24 14:02:52

First class travel. Not trivial enough?
Sort the potholes and bring back the railway to my town. It would need to be a big win.

There's probably a self filling bird bath already invented keepcalm
There should be.

I’m with Dogmum - fresh bedding every night, Egyptian cotton in summer and flannelette in winter…oh heaven 🛌

DanniRae Mon 20-May-24 14:23:13

I don't drive so someone to take me wherever I want to go. They would also cook for me and do the ironing!

shysal Mon 20-May-24 14:32:31

Another fan of daily fresh bedding here!

One of my cats has an inflamed bowel, so it would be nice to have the litter trays cleaned several times a day.

I find hedge-cutting a chore these days, so that is another task I would like to be relieved of.

The thought of winning the lottery is a fantasy, so my wish might as well be for an invisible odd-job performing fairy.

Grammaretto Mon 20-May-24 14:36:12

I have only once bought a lottery ticket. My chances of winning are zilch.

JamesandJon33 Mon 20-May-24 14:56:53

Someone to do the gardening Please!!

hollysteers Mon 20-May-24 15:06:44

A full time housekeeper and cook, but they would have to work as they did in Edwardian times, that is out of sight as I would be irritated by their presence 😁

Theexwife Mon 20-May-24 15:10:41

Clean bedding every day and a chauffeur on permanent standby.

NotSpaghetti Mon 20-May-24 15:25:08

A cleaner-upper that perfectly understands the workings of my mind so that they can sort my paperwork, file things, find things, pick up my mess and deliver it to its "home" separate blu tac from hair bobbles, pins, tiddlywinks and sewing thread, put away aforementioned items and know which items I'll be looking for in 5 mins time.

Simple!

blue14 Mon 20-May-24 15:29:50

So many dream of getting an Aston Martin, a Ferrari etc, etc.
I would get rid of my little car and, as Grandmadinosaur has said, I would have my own chauffeur and enjoy being driven around.
However, I never do the lottery but it is nice to dream!

Gwyllt Mon 20-May-24 16:50:04

When I wasn’t about, someone to clear up after my husband

MissAdventure Mon 20-May-24 16:55:01

Someone to sort out the washing situation.
To put a wash on, take it out and put it on the line, then deal with it until they put it away.
A driver, and someone to plan shop and cook delicious, low fat meals.

My thoughts exactly.

I’d like a personal assistant to organise work on the house and supervise the tradesmen when I need them. She/he can also organise tickets, holidays, and other appointments for me please.

kittylester Mon 20-May-24 17:16:25

Someone to wash, iron and change my bed every day.
