Good morning all from a showery Glasgow, where it is 11°C.
I have woken up with the Lucgy, sore throat, chesty and blinding headache. I think a snotty little DGD may have passed on her germs! 😍
Babydoll was an absolute delight, but exhausting. Everytime I said NO, NO, NO!, she responded with Yes!. We hadn't realised that she could climb stairs so quickly. Thank goodness we kept Dollie's stairgate. 😁
She loved exploring upstairs for the first time and hal a great time pulling out things in my craft room.
I need to tidy her the mess today!
GM, sad news, regarding your neighbour, but you must be on a high and looking forward to seeing your son.
Bellasnanna, a day of remembering for you. 💐
Have I missed Grandmabatty posting? I didn't have time to read properly over the last few days.
I need to check with the Diocesen Offices about the audit I was doing. The deadline is today and I sent it last night. However, it has disappeared into the ether and I should have had an email link to confirm.
Have a good day folks, what ever your plans.

(54 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
A dry but cloudy start here in brackley this morning.
Today my usual trip to Bicester ,seem to spend quite awhile talking to friends and former workmates .
Lunch Air Fryer today as to Fish and Chips .
Then watch cycling and avoid a snooze if I can.
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning everybody from south Manchester where once again it’s chilly and wet out but not currently raining. Brr! We plan to walk over to the MacMillan centre to join in the group who meet weekly for tea and biscuits. We haven’t been for a while. Home mid afternoon.
💐 for you Bellasnana I bet you can’t believe it’s nine years. I’m glad you have family and friends in your life to ease your heartache. Whitwave I loved hearing about those foxes. Too cute.
Trafford schools break up today for end of term hols. We used to call it Whit week didn’t we? New cotton summer dresses and white sandals and socks for my little sister in me back in the day.
I did miss your post, GMB. Phew!
Bonnybanko, I was in that same Anstruther Fish Bar last week. The food is amazing.
Enjoy your family's visit.
Good morning from temporarily dry South Lanarkshire, I swear that with the exception of last weekend it has never stopped raining since I gave up driving! I’m already on my second umbrella (always losing them) and a new waterproof backpack.
💐Bellasnana and enjoy greeting your son grandMattie.
I must be ready soon to jump in the 8am phone call queue to try to access blood test results. I had general annual blood tests a couple of weeks ago and have literally spent hours over the last two days trying to find out my current cholesterol number. The nice but adamant (new) reception staff refuse to tell me because of ‘data protection’. In vain I have pointed out that they’re my results and they know it’s me they are talking to because they phoned me, also that I have been given this information annually for years. “We’ll you shouldn’t have” is the unanswerable response.
They have told me I need to ask on their new ChatGP site and I would get a call back which I did to be told they couldn’t give out such information so I had to go on the practice website and submit an information request form😳🥹😳
Having done that and finding it tell’s me to do exactly what I have been doing ie Select Option 3 after 10 o’clock, I think I have got to the root of the problem.
Unbelievably I think the girls I have been talking to quite simply don’t know the difference between ‘discuss’ and ‘tell’.
Excuse me while I start day3 of my search for data information release!
Wishing everyone a good day.
Good morning from Durham. It’s dry, but will it last?
More ironing to tackle, then I’ll take that and Little Dog back to DD2. We have afternoon nail appointments, then I’ve an issue with Virgin to sort out, in branch.
💐Bella such anniversaries catch us out, don’t they?
Best wishes to all. X
Morning all from West Oxfordshire.
I helped OH erect a new wooden picnic table yesterday. It was so cold! I hope the weather warms up today so we can use it.
OH bought two queen bees yesterday together with their attendants. They are currently in the airing cupboard in a special box with a piece of fondant. He will introduce them to his hives tomorrow. What a palaver!
I have one more medieval women lecture to listen to.
I hope the weather perks up. Sunshine always makes me feel better. ☀️
Have a good day.
Good morning everyone from a brightish Northampton. No rain forecast so I am just thinking about finding some washing to do. Just popped out the front door to put the Avon catalogue ready for collection and it feels chilly.
Ended up going out to the shops yesterday afternoon, as I have other things to do today and tomorrow, got everything I wanted, but had fun and games with the buses coming home.
Dance classes this morning, then out to a neighbour's for coffee this afternoon. I must also investigate a new hairdresser while I am in the village this morning.
Bellasnana, may all of your memories be happy ones.

grandMattie hope you have a lovely time with your DS.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from the Algarve where a warm sunny day is forecast. Do hope it will warm up soon for you all. DD2 is due to arrive this evening and we all anxious as there is a big music festival close to Luton Airpirt scheduled over this weekend. She faces chaos getting there so fingers crossed she will make it🤞🤞 I’ve decided to chill in the sun today after a sleepless night.

Thinking of you Bellasnana 🌷
Good morning from North Yorkshire. Cloudy again.
Bellasnana 💐
I’m heading off to the family for the weekend later today so I’ll be spending the morning making sure the house is all tidy and doing some packing. I haven’t seen DGS since Easter so I’m really looking forward to spending some time with them.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from a beautifully sunny Suffolk. I had a lovely lunch followed by a walk and then tea and cake with my 2 friends, resulting in me not wanting anything else to eat for the rest of the day. The friend I had seen on Tuesday had given me one of her delicious homemade loaves so DH happily had bread and cheese.
For the last 14 years we have always spent the May half term on holiday with one of the AC and their families. We’ve visited different parts of the country staying in holiday cottages. But not this year. DGD1 is in the middle of A levels,DGD2 GCSEs so they are both still revising and we saw our third little family last weekend.
So DH and I are off for a few days to north Norfolk to a favourite hotel overlooking the sea where we first stayed more than 45 years ago. Although there have been several changes, nothing that has been done has changed it.
I hope all have a lovely weekend whatever plans you have. Thinking of those especially with sadness in their lives at the moment.
Marydoll it's nice to be missed! Stilllearning it's like the plot of a Kafka novel. I hope you are successful.
Good morning from a cool but sunny Oxfordshire.
More fun at the Bank will be had today I’m sure, after a long but fruitless time there yesterday.
A visit to the Bathroom showroom and Tile shop later too.
What fun we are having……
Bellasnana 💐 a day of memories for you.
Granmattie have a lovely day with your family.
Hope everyone on the move has safe travels, hugs for those who are worried or unwell, let’s hope it’s a sunny day.
Urms I mentioned to my daughter that it’s Whitsun weekend and she gave me a very blank look.
What a beautiful garden you have loopyloo! It looks gorgeous in that sunshine.
Good morning Mick and all from 11° Cloudy Chambers northwest coast. It’s back to opaque tights for me…
Tree surgeon came round yesterday and left a hefty quote for pruning in my back garden, which is more like a wood than ever. A large pine tree will be cut back and that will be the end of pigeon poo on my patio.
Art group this morning then programme planning of songs for the coming week. A friend comes tomorrow for a night’s stay and ramble in the dunes. The forecast looks hopeful.
Thoughts to Bellasnana and all with worries 🌺
Good morning from a cold, wet & miserable Sefton, same as yesterday. This weather is very dispiriting. Two zoom exercise classes this morning then I will hunker down for the day. I really need to put some washing on but begrudge putting it through the dryer this time of year & plants that need planting out if they have survived the downpours. Sigh.
Hoping this weather improves for all those in need of a relaxing bank holiday break.
Just when the woollies had been washed and put away the weather turns distinctly chilly and they have to be unpacked and worn. Doesn’t feel anything like summer, that’s for sure. A domestic day today awaits as it is too unpleasant to be outside for long, so hope we all have a pleasant one.
Good morning all from an overcast Black country.
Late up this morning so haven't read through yet 43 posts already.
Just a trip to town with a bill to pay, do miss the bank since its closure.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans, best wishes for anyone celebrating safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.☀️
Apologies to all reception staff I have traduced! I have been able to get through to a very nice ‘care navigator’ who explained that I have to send an email to the practice asking for the information I want and she will look at it after 10 o’clock.
I said I would but asked what if wasn’t able to do that and she replied wearily that she would have had to give me an appointment which she knows I don’t need and it would prevent someone who did from getting one but that’s what the new owners of the practice decree. I felt really sorry for her but do understand now why there has been a Patients Action Group set up in our town!
Stilllearning it would be funny if only it wasn't so difficult and time consuming.
I was told the reason I wasn't allowed to see my X-ray was because I might see other peoples' by mistake and that would breach data protection!
Good morning everyone from Severnside. It’s cloudy and cool.
We used up all your Spanish sunshine in a couple of days Pant. You did make me chuckle this morning.
I migh
I might go out and buy some wine today as I see it’s on offer.
Have a good day all 💐
Liberty enjoy your break, I wonder if it is the same N Norfolk hotel I love going back to.
Bellasnana 💐
