How often do you wear perfume

Yesterday we went out for dinner (actually it was street food, eaten in a shelter on the seafront 😂) and to celebrate the occasion I spritzed on a bit of perfume. Similarly my husband used an expensive aftershave (usually he only bothers for weddings and funerals).

Anyway, it got me thinking. It takes me a couple of years to get through a bottle of perfume, I’ve got lots of it (mostly gifts from family and friends) and it’s all good stuff. So I have decided that (if I can remember) I’m going to wear perfume every day!!

Today I’m in my scruffy painting smock, but if this was smellyvision you would smelling Jo Malone’s Pear and Freesia. 😂

Used to every day and really miss wearing it. But since Chemo cannot use at all, makes me cough and gives me a tight chest and literally start to taste it. The Avon ones were my favourites.

Feel undressed without it. Have perfumes I wear daytime and perfumes I wear for going out. Was put on this road when I was a junior in a London office and the two secretaries Molly and Jean introduced me to do many and how you should top up throughout the day, make up and hair. Fond memories of those two lovely ladies.

Not all perfumes contain flowers Jannicans, and not all which contain flowers are linked to child labour.

Never! It confuses the dogs and horses!

I know dogs aren't keen on citrus smells. Maybe they prefer rose scented perfumes?

Mine seems happy with rose scented perfume.

I don't like citrus smells either.

I want to smell like a flower, not a giant lemon.

Paul?!?
No idea how he appeared in the above.

Paul Smith, Rose.
I was thinking of that, and it must have leaked out my fingers.

I do a spritz daily as well, before getting dressed. My current is Elabeth Arden Greet Tea. Very light and fresh, not at all overpowering.

Kent75

I wear perfume most days. When I need a confidence boost I spay a little extra of my Coco Madmoiselle or Allure. I haven’t found A Jo Malone scent that I love as a perfume. Sprayed Pomegranate Noir yesterday, lovely, but I am not sure that it beats Chanel!

Kent75 have you tried the Lidl ‘dupe’ of Mademoiselle? I bought one ( 3.99 I think) and my friend said she recognised her favourite perfume!

edit... Green Tea.

Definitely wear for going out of an evening, usually, Coco .

And sometimes on any day just when I feel like it, Elizabeth Arden Red Door. It's a scent that really takes me back. I have 3 bottles of it because it was such a bargain I found on holiday in New Zealand.

Daily,,,I have 2 bottles to get through, presents from 2 of my daughters,I do like them both, presents and daughters, so might as well use them up instead of leaving them in the cupboard, who knows there may be more next birthday

Not for years, due to a dangerous look off William! (Not the Prince)
--
In the late 1990's, mum phoned me up at work "can you come home, so and so's calving", so I left work, drove home, changed, helped with cow. Because of the time, I didn't go back, instead went up the field to check On the other girls and saw William glaring at me. William was a stunning Charolais Bull with curls and fabulous Horns, actually he was a softie as he hated men (Dennis rung his nose and he never forgot!) Well, William sucked his guts in and lifted his head, I smelt different. "Hello William, got another baby today,.hello William" fortunately he recognised my voice and walked off.

Later, when I told mum, "oh, forgot to tell you to wash off any perfume!" Charming.

Even now, any different antipersperant, the sheeps ears twitch until I speak.
