Do you dislike wearing makeup as I do?

I wear very light understated makeup.Ultrasun tinted Factor 50 sunscreen is perfect for summer without the need for wearing foundation.I use eye primer, cream eyeshadow and mascara as my lashes are very pale.I also use Estée Lauder brow pencil in blonde which is very natural looking.Blusher is a slick of Clinique rhubarb chubby stick,which doubles up as lipstick.

Never wear any apart for very special occasions. I’m lucky that I have a nice complexion and colouring.

Cleanse every day, moisturise every day and night. Lip salve , hand cream and that is it. But I wear perfume every day.
I have never used make up 🤷‍♀️

I very rarely wear it. I don’t like the feel of it on my skin.

I wear make up every day as I think I look old and haggard without it.

I wear makeup every day ..it has never damaged My skin and in My late 50s I have pretty good skin but use spf 50 on My Face but I haven’t always 🙂

I go out walking and cycling along the canal. The sun reflects off the water and increases the damage caused by the sun. Therefore I use sun block a lot, but never make-up. So many people make a mess of it and have a 'tide mark'. It also emphasises wrinkles.

I have found that putting a very thin line of brown twist up 'pencil' close to the eyelashes really high lights the eye and can use less mascara plus a soft line on the under lid.

I use E45 cream as a moisturiser on my face and the rest of my body after my early morning shower. It seems to work very well, and some people when they ask my age are surprised that I am only 6 years off 80. One kind person said they thought I was in my late 50s!

Thank your genes for that rather than anything you do, or don't, put on your skin.

I don't mind wearing make up at all. I don't wear much these days, sometimes none at all. For me it's not a case of looking more beautiful, or younger, just looking healthier and more wide awake. Just getting rid of the black shadows under my eyes and filling in my eyebrows makes a heck of a difference. I'm more likely to wear a tinted serum these days rather than a foundation as they aren't so heavy on the skin.

It has just occurred to me that we don't have those dreadful adverts anymore where an intimidating woman wearing far too much make-up showed her victims in before and after makeovers.
That said, I love make-up; it is how you apply it that counts. I do not agree with the 'their character, personality and unique individual features in their natural faces' hype; make up doesn't disguise characteristics but can enhance them.

I'm the same, spuddy, except that I also avoid all perfumes, including in soap, shampoo, etc. I only use soda crystals and vinegar in my washing-machine.

I used to cycle to and from work in all weathers and on arrival at work I'd throw water over my usually hot face. I'd hate not being able to do that.

I don't like clutter on my hands either. Not even nail varnish. And when a horse ate my wedding ring I was kinda glad. I don't wear any rings nor a watch.

Oh, wait! I do use Tiger Balm on midge, cleg and tick bites. In the case of the last that's after they've been disinfected with gin or surgical spirit. They don't usually itch till the day after the bite.

I use a perfumeless moisturiser.

As an older woman I think you need to choose your make up very carefully as too much ,instead of adding to your looks actually can make you look older. In winter I apply a very thin layer of a very good make and enjoy that it does look good.
In the summer this is not necessary.
But beauty comes from within really and as we age and soften that shines through, so this is only to make myself feel better.

watermeadow ... name here! I never wore make up on my wedding day either and I've never had my hair done at a hairdressers! Also never use sunscreen, I hate summer/sun/heat and will try to stay in the shade as much as possible!

I can't abide anything ''stuck'' to my face so any sort of make up is out for me!

Once my hair is washed I comb it out then let it dry naturally, it's lovely when blowing around in the wind self-drying and I can't deal with hair driers! HA!

The only ''make up'' I ever use is perfume - Giverny - I have 7 boxes of it in Red Black Blue Gold White Pink and Purple! - and nail varnish but I can't abide actual make up and won't touch it for any reason.

With a mug like mine if I wore make up I'd end up looking like a cross between Eddie Izzard and Barbara Cartland! HA!

I've recently had my 4th skin cancer removed. And my mother died of melanoma, so I am slightly paranoid about it.
The doctor recently firmly told me never to go outside without factor 50 sun screen, all year round.
I've managed to find plenty of moisturisers, both plain and tinted, with this.

I don’t know why, Baggs, but that was the clear message in the piece I watched on tv the other day. Some of our posters have written of having cancerous or pre-cancerous cells removed and one of my cousins now has colorectal and lung cancer which emanate from a skin cancer on her nose, removed a few years ago. She is definitely not a sun worshipper.

Why is it on the rise in the UK, gsm? Is it because people expose more flesh than commonly used to be the case? Or something else?

You’re running a big risk Oreo. You don’t have to lie out in the sun to get skin cancer. Just walking outside without protection exposes you to harm, even on a cloudy day. Skin cancer is on the rise in the UK.

I hope everyone wears sunscreen every day.

Absolutely, 52 weeks a year, every day.

I’ve never worn sunscreen.
I don’t lay out trying to get a tan and usually wear threequarter sleeves to walk about in Summer.
We’re short of vitamin D in the UK, I take a tablet most of the time but not in Summer.
I do put moisturiser on every day, a bit of self tan in Summer and lipstick.
Eye make up if going out.

I wear a light foundation on my face every day and I use mascara and lipstick if I'm going someone special, or to a business meeting.

Unfortunately though eye make up makes my eyes stream these days so I've got to be careful not to arrive looking like a panda.

I’ve only rarely worn make up. None on my wedding day, none ever in the last 40 years. Nor have I ever had my hair washed or blow dried at a hairdresser’s. I just prefer to be natural.

I reduced the make up I wear over the years but what I really want to know is what films and TV are you in Yongy? I'd love to spot you and your un made up face.
