Mega late for me, from cloudy Cornwall. Had a potential migraine at 0530 so couldn't look at my phone screen which can exacerbate it but it seems to have gone away. Phew. Off to Perranporth library today plus maybe a hobble on the beach.

Good morning from an overcast NE where the forecast is for rain again.
It is still cool and the heating is on.
I am puzzled, I wear bedsocks but did not have them on when I woke this morning, I stripped the bed and found one under the duvet but the other is nowhere to be found. I am concerned because I am a sleepwalker especially when under stress.
Nothing planned for today, maybe some cooking for the weekend.

Good morning from sunny Cambridgeshire. Today is washing, ironing and gardening. Have lots of admin bits to sort too like car tax, car insurance etc. DH has breakfast club with the boys and lawn mowing at DD2’s house. I feel the pull to get out walking and cycling but so much to get on top of at home at mo after being away.

I am quite new to reading and posting on this thread but I enjoy looking for Mick’s opening post knowing he is ok and hope he will continue to do this.

I'm pretty on the ball, however, I received documents from the Diocese a few days ago, but because I was feeling so unwell, I decided to read later. It turned out it to be a phising email , which would have infected my PC. It looked so genuine.

A gentle day today, I am very sore and stiff after a full on day with the delightful Babydoll. She walked three steps unaided, followed by much cheering from DH and I.
The icing on the cake was when we got to DS' and he treated us to fish and chips. No cooking for me.

I feel I have to say something, this is not intended as a reprimand, but hopefully an explanation.
My dear friends, please be gentle with Bonnybanko. The newer members of this site and thread will be unaware of the fact that she has been on GN from the beginning under a different name, but was away for a long time, spent a lengthy time in hospital due to a serious and life changing health episode. She has documented this on GN, so I am not being indiscrete and revealing any personal information.
She has always been a kind and lovely lady and this morning's comment does not reflect who she is and I know she will be upset when she reads the comments regarding her.
It is not for me to explain why she seemed snippy this morning, but I will say chronic illness and conditions impact on the way we behave and speak, as I well know. We never know what lies ahead of us.
Sometimes it is better to just say nothing.

Had a nice little trip out to nearby village in the sun and found a new out of the way farm shop. No one around and relying on honesty payment. Very picturesque.

Today to art group then dentist to hopefully sort out my aching jaw.

Audiology appointment yesterday seemed to cure my problem. The left ear one kept 'screeching'. They took it away and tested it and concluded nothing wrong, perhaps I needed a new mould? But it has been ok since, so whatever it was seems to have been sorted. So I may cancel the appointment for a new mould if it is still ok over the weekend.

Hair appointment today. Not been since December so it desperately needs a cut and highlights. My last Hairdresser retired, so trying someone new.

I like the fact that one person Mick starts the good morning thread. Saves two or more in tandem.

I hope the Ombudsman can help you gM in being refunded your money back. Cannot imagine what the Banks reasoning is?

We had a lovely evening on the beach for celebrations for D day. Lots of people, perfect weather, no mozzies and a friendly atmosphere, remembering those brave souls.🙏.

Still waiting for the plumber so another tepid shower beckons - not a good start to the day. Oldies’ D Day celebration with fish and chip lunch, then must provision for DD and DSiL arriving tomorrow, nothing compared with yesterday’s activities recorded by some posters which made me exhausted just to read about. Hope everyone’s plans for today work out well.

Anyway, good morning everyone from sunny south Glos although the heating has come on so it must be chilly!
Yesterday I was very pleased with my garden efforts, it’s looking good.
Today is notalot planned day, housework and changing the bed, walk the dog and more pottering in the garden.
I’m still waiting to hear when the summerhouse is being removed but I will continue to use it in the meantime - rustic perhaps describes it well!
I hope today goes well for you all, sending hugs to those who need them 🌹

Good morning everyone from a dry and slightly sunny south Manchester. I’m meeting a friend from Chorlton I’ve not seen here for about a month (her - holidays then golfing, me - half term help). She’s going to get the number 23 bus outside hers and text me then I’ll set off and jump on it outside Sainsbury’s. We both fancy a mooch around the Trafford Centre. I still haven’t been in the massive new M&S since they occupied the huge double floored spread that used to be Debenhams. We do plan a sit down and a proper catch up too before reversing our set up to come home.

ThanksgM for that. I wonder if the local asparagus producers stop earlier around here. It is my birthday next week and it has sometimes been difficult to buy some then.

Will have to search more carefully!

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞Northampton; a lovely brilliant blue sky.

Yesterday turned out slightly different to expected. Got one load of washing out then thought it was a good day to strip and change the bed, so the bedding went in the machine.
I then cut the front grass, and removed a load of recalcitrant weeds from a front border.
Next was digging all the weeds from between the paving on the front path.
Then after lunch I decided to cut the back grass as well, even though I only did it on Sunday - and then.found several more ginormous weeds in a back border which had to be removed.

And then I had to go and put fresh bedding on my bed; I had left the mattress airing all day.
After all that it was time for a sherry and an easy freezer dinner of home-made chilli and rice.

Then at 8.15 there was a ring of the doorbell and it was my neighbour to say he had managed to download our rugby tickets for Twickenham tomorrow, thank goodness.
So I invited him in and we had a nice chat over a glass of red for an hour. He is missing his late wife very much and is glad for company. He has now booked a cruise in the Med, next month I think.

Meeting friends in Sainsbury's cafe this morning, but I need to hop off the bus in the village first, to get a patch test done at my new hairdressers. From there it's only a 10 minute walk to Sainsbury's. Looking forward to a catch-up over coffee (and perhaps cake!)

After yesterday's busy day I hope to just sit and read in the garden when I get back.

Good morning from another sunny Suffolk. Yesterday was so warm that I had to water the pots last night.

Today I have a hair appointment when I shall hear all that my hairdresser has been up to. It’s always an entertaining hour which I enjoy every 6 or so weeks.

I decided some time ago to stop buying any more books when our many book shelves and book cases mostly had books stashed 2 deep. We haven’t quite kept to that but we use the library in our nearest town for novels. I’ll probably pop in before my hair dresser and pick up some local strawberries and what is likely to be almost the last of the local asparagus from one of the 2 excellent greengrocers.

Hope today is a good one for all.

Good morning from a sunny day here on the Essex coast.
I'm glad the weather is good as we are going out on the boat for a couple of days, the first time this year.
The fridge is stocked, the boat looks lovely and clean and tidy, just the beds to make up before we set off.
It's not my most favourite thing to do but it's DH's pride and joy and we probably only have a few more years before we get too old and creaky to do it.

Morning from a bright but chilly Dorset, we visited a garden yesterday attached to a stately home, it was very disorganised and disappointing.
Later off to friends near by in their camper van for a bbq and a game of scrabble, back home today.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 10°, windy and there's rain in the air. glammagran that's a pity that your holiday was cancelled. Maybe cruises aren't for you!
Yesterday I achieved a fair amount. I washed the bird bath and set up a solar powered fountain in it, cleaned the kitchen and hoovered throughout. I weeded both the front and back gardens as well. Dgs1 was on a nursery trip to Almond Valley heritage park. He had a wonderful time. Dgs2 isn't too well. It might be a virus working on him.
Today I have no plans. Dd was planning to come round after play group, but if dgs2 isn't well, he won't be going. So I'm not sure if she'll visit or not. I'm having katsu chicken curry for dinner. Have a good day all.

Had to hunt out this thread amongst the voodoo again.
Plenty of laundry for the line and iron. A weekend supermarket shop and this and that today.
Got caught up in the DDay commemorations yesterday. Our City had 3 well attended events and the TV coverage was moving.

Good morning from Durham where a cool cloudy day is forecast. The building crew will be here soon, living in a goldfish bowl has made this long week. Coffee with a friend this morning will get me out of the house.
I’m hoping Bonnybanko’s post was an observation and not a criticism? Very odd.
My thoughts are with those, especially Doodle who face a difficult day today and in the coming days.
