I’m so pleased to report the sun actually came out today here - so lovely after day after day of clouds. The garden is looking a bit better but we need a good few days of sunshine and warmth to dry the soil out and get some flowers blooming

Evening everyone! It’s been a crazy week but today has been a rest day, with a delicious pub lunch. Now ironing in front of the football.
It’s our wedding anniversary tomorrow but that should be spent gardening. And shopping.

I really enjoyed watching the tennis finals, yes,*soop*, the men's doubles were good, especially as a British man involved on the winning side.!
How lovely to see the Princess of Wales & Princess Charlotte at the men's final.
My real delight was watching Alfie Hewitt win the wheelchair singles title for the first time, also the doubles with his partner Gordon Reid, (6th time?)
Alfie is a favourite of mine, (maybe as he hails from Norfolk!)
( I knew my England flag was up for a reason, )

Voluntary phone today and it’s been busy, in between call pick up the kitchen had a quick clean, sausages split up and frozen down, chat with my son.

I didn’t make it out last evening , a combination of events conspired against us and we had to cancel the booking as we couldn’t make the early one and the venue couldn’t give us a later one due to the football.
I can’t say I was too disappointed.

Lovely news about your S Jax I just wish my S could meet someone and settle down but I don’t think it will happen.
My D is also on her own but she is happy and fulfilled, a different setup.

It was a nice morning here but started raining late afternoon, not a good omen for St Swithin’s day.

New airfryer to try tonight so I am waiting for my GD’s help.

Congratulations to your son and partner Jax, a wedding to look forward to how lovely.
Yesterday wasn’t very good news.The cancer has spread to the liver.The options are, if DH is fit enough, to operate on the bowel cancer and then chemotherapy on the liver or chemotherapy for both.This morning it doesn’t seem real and we both feel in a bubble even though we have our family and friends around us.The next stage is an MRI and another meeting.As far as our sons wedding is concerned we have been told to go and enjoy it so we will.Thanks for letting me unload on here.Warm wishes to you all.

Dearest Yia not the news you hoped for but have faith that the medics will do all they can to help your DH.
Many have been through this, some still are, so we have some small idea of how you all feel today.
It doesn’t help I know but we are all silently cheering you both on and if prayers help they will be for you both.
