Corner such sadness and frustration. It must get you down. 💐 I think the feeling of helplessness is made worse as you get older.
This morning I could not find my car key anywhere. I turned the house upside down. I was panicking a bit as I've lost the spare key, when I checked the picket of my jeans and there it was. Then, this afternoon, I couldn't find my raincoat. I had a horrible feeling I'd left it in the garden centre. I went there- no joy- headed home, and there was the coat on the couch. I think I'm losing the plot.
I have had breakfast with a friend at the local garden centre. Then I took her home and headed to dds to look after the boys for the afternoon. Dsil was working and DD had a day out planned,so I helped out. Dgs1 has become very pass remarkable and will argue til the cows come home! He wanted to play in the street because he spotted the older children next door out. I vetoed it as I don't think his parents would have been happy. So there was general moaning and I'm going to tell my dad on you stuff. We went into the back garden and within quarter of an hour, he said, " grandma, I'm not going to have an attitude any more " and give him his due, he played well. Dgs2 went for a nap and dgs1 played quietly in his bedroom. It was an easy shift. Home and I'll make a chicken curry soon. Enjoy the rest of Saturday.

Hello kitchen people. I’m on the train heading back to Oxford.

I had a lovely day with younger son. We met for lunch at Brasserie Zédel and then went to the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy. Some of the items were magnificent, others dire! Finally, I bought us a knickerbocker glory each at Fortnum’s.

Corner the little I know about your medical problems the last place you should be is a gym. I am sorry I do not live closer because I would happily go with you and tell that young male physio what I thought about his technique. Fast forward 50 years- I wonder what he would be thinking when having the same problems.

I too washed towels brook they dried speedy quick, MrJ has watered the garden and greenhouse, we’ve a warm/hot few days ahead.
My daughter has gone out for a mystery meal out, her good friends were on holiday when it was her birthday, so it’s a treat. Finley is here overnight, he has football tomorrow locally, I must make sure his epipen goes with him.

Doodle a sad time for you and I do feel for you. My DH’s ashes are buried in our local church yard and I go and talk to him when I need to.
corner I feel your pain! I also wonder why so many physiotherapists seem to ignore the pain that their patients experience while trying to perform exercises that may or may not help the problem. I have exercises for my arthritic hip and foot which do help with mobility, but those for my back just seem to make the pain worse.

Yesterday was hard , we visited the funeral directors to arrange DH's farewell. I couldn't take it all in, good job my daughter and son were there with me.... Another hurdle..

Soop , I am a regular reader here ( a lurker) and enjoy reading about all your lives. I have suffered restless leg syndrome all my adult life. I blame my Dad he had it too. I have found there is no rhyme or reason why it happens but most irritating!!!!

It’s lovely to hear from you corner but sorry that things are difficult just now, sending gentle hugs. Its lovely though to have flowers and plants in the garden that remind you of happy times and loved ones
We’re having DGS for a sleepover tonight, then collecting DGD first thing tomorrow and taking them both out somewhere. It probably suits us better just to have one stay over at a time as then there’s no bickering, one upmanship and falling out. I’ll need to do a quick food shop later for picnic things, there’s always a compulsory picnic on our days out whatever the weather!

Lins872 I have reached the stage where I dread going to bed. Mr Soop sleeps in a reclining chair in the sitting room. He has cramps in his legs if he lies flat. I am relieved that he does not share the bed. He would be driven to distraction with all my restless tossing and turning. The GP wants me to have a blood test. Perhaps something positive will ensue. Who knows!

I am supervising three GC in our Spa Pool (2X4yr olds & 1 7yr old) I will have to apologise to our neighbours tomorrow for the noise🙀 Fortunately there are only two of them.

DH will fire up the BBQ soon, these little people appear to have hollow legs 🤣

Grannygravy the only pool I have in my garden is of the paddling variety 😂. I intend to christen it on Tuesday. Today I've put weedkiller on all the paths and the drive. I've done a washing and been to Aldi. I've also been to DD so she could use her muscle on the new car seat for dgs1. Then I visited mum and I'm not long back. I'm having a rest before tackling the ironing and cleaning the bathroom. Then dinner. It's been a lovely day, sunny and warm. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Hello Kitcheners.Difficult to catch up but I think about you all.
Latest update on DH.Good bit first, they think the spots on the liver could be hemangiomas,(Not sure about the spelling) if that’s the case they can be left.🤞We are hopeful, he is to have a few nasty tests in the next 3 weeks then back for a meeting.The big concern is the bowel tumour is very near,or on the duodenum and would be very difficult to remove and maybe
need to be done in a specialised hospital.

He remains fairly well and cheerful but,I’m a wreck and I’ve had to reach out to my new G.P.Thankfully he has been great and given me meds to help and support for us both should we need it,so lucky to have found him.
We are at number one son’s house this week looking after Harper between tests.

I love reading your posts.I am disabled and not able to do very much. Are there any others like me or are you all energetic hardy souls?

wLu7 the last time I was mildly energetic was around 25 years ago when I was still at work. Now stepping off the pavement is a trial.

We are a mixed bag in the kitchen putting it mildly. Some are in dire straits with gut problems etc others like me have had major orthopaedic surgery and my sight is going. There is a vast age range also. I am not the oldest at 80 but getting close.

It is very friendly and a comforting place to be.

Our grandson was picked up from football at lunchtime, he’s such a pleasure to have here. It’s warm, just about right, Tuesday will be 30 and he’s here again for a couple of days, my daughter and Imogen are off to Thorpe Park.

Hello wLu7, I'm not disabled, but have a few health issues that come with being in my late 70's. I'm usually sitting quietly in a corner of this friendly kitchen, ( there are others that share this space!). !

wlu7 I’m not registered as disabled but do have several health problems which make moving around difficult at times, but I’m not giving up!

Home again after a shortened holiday in Jersey after our original easyjet flight was canceled. Weather was mixed but didn’t keep us in. Overall we enjoyed the break. Lost a crown when on holiday so must phone the dentist tomorrow. Also have a blood test first thing as thyroid function appears to be low. Happy days but could be worse! Thoughts with those waiting for results either for theirselves or loved ones.

Welcome wlu7 to this lovely supportive thread, I’m lucky that I’m fairly healthy but not as energetic as I used to be! You’re very welcome here

We’ve got DGS here for a sleepover, he’s reading in bed so I’ll go and check on him soon. First thing tomorrow we’re picking up his sister and taking them both out somewhere - it could be a long day… Then tomorrow evening DGD not wanting to feel left out has already booked herself in here for her sleepover 🤦‍♀️
