My Dd's friend is getting married this summer. The bride has said from the outset that she can only afford a budget
wedding but her definition of budget seems a bit elastic to say the least.
She will be wearing a very expensive dress and having her hair and make-up done. The bridesmaids have to pay for dresses and shoes and also pay for, or do their own, h&m. The groom is paying for suits for his best man and ushers.
The bridesmaids have paid for the bride to go on a quite expensive hen do. And the latest joke is that the bride has sent the bridesmaids a list of chores they have been allocated
the day before, the actual wedding day and the day after the wedding. It seems they are to be unpaid staff and have to wait on guests as well as setting up for the elaborate 'budget wedding' and clearing up afterwards. The reception takes place miles away from the actual wedding and no transport is provided for bridesmaids.
Needles to say the bride will be off on an expensive honeymoon.
Is this what could be described as bridezilla behaviour?
