Talking energy

I enjoy a chat with a friend or friends enormously. However afterwards my energy level hits rock bottom! It almost puts me off meeting up because I feel so tired but that is my social life. Do any of you 75plus girls feel the same? I have friends who could talk all day and not be affected.

Delila

I’m always energised after meeting up for coffee & chats with friends. Chit-chat or deep and meaningful, always food for thought or a refreshing exchange of views.

This is me . I love meeting friends or family , it gives me a boost even speaking on the phone. I’m retired but do holiday cover where I used to work . I was there this week and it was lovely to catch up with my colleagues.
Although if I meet up with friends in the evening , I can’t sleep that night due to being energised . Even if it’s just book club .

Thx Mirren. I’m approaching 80 but most of my friends of same age seem to have a lot of energy to socialise every day. I feel like a wimp and it’s good to hear same “symptoms “ from a GP.

I feel exactly the same. I am 78. I have a Spanish friend who is younger than me and I always have to have a pre prepared reason to escape from her as she wears me out so much.
