Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, no heatwave here.

Sar, you must be relieved that nothing sinister is going on.

My medical appointments were a bit of a mixed bag yesterday.
For the first time in years, my BP was not dangerously high and I have actually lost some weight.🥳 However, I can't see a difference in my weight.😁

Despite my cardiologist writing to my GP in December, advising an urgent re-referral to a respiratory consultant and me asking about it twice recently, saying I was finding life very difficult, he has done absolutely nothing. There has been no referral.😡
Seven months of struggling with my lung problems, thinking that at last I was going to get some support, has all been for nothing. I was so upset when I got home.
My GP has been a wonderful GP over the years, but since the pandemic, he seems to have given up. I so disappointed in him or perhaps it is not worth wasting resources and time on me.😉

Today, we are awaiting a call from DS2 to see if we are needed. Babydoll was so poorly yesterday, she need to see a GP and of course her parents both work.

I wish you all safe journeys on your travels and that all those struggling for whatever reason, have as gentle a day as possible.

Good morning all.

So pleased most of you are having warm sunny weather in the UK.

We have been having a lovely holiday in a ginormous hotel (1200 rooms) in Gran Canaria. We upgraded so we could use a quieter pool with good facilities and breakfast upgrade. We are walking about 8-10,000 steps a day just getting around. Not eaten much in the hotel except the free snack lunch and mini bottles of wine, cava, beer and soft drinks from temperature controlled drawers. There are many nice restaurants down at the front. Weather is perfect. Dodging the flooded and very wet Danube river cruise was a lucky escape.

Thinking of poor Miss Oops and hope she has turned a corner now. Hope you are feeling better too Oopsadaisy. Thoughts also to all those with health struggles. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning Mick and everyone from bright and warm Carlisle. No heatwave here.
I've just got back from a trip south to see the family and we had a good time as usual. The train trip back didn't give me a good time though. Due to problems on the Lockerbie area track (yet again!), all the trains southwards were slowed. We were finally terminated in Preston. After a chaotic hour or so there with no staff to help, I finally managed to get on the Edinburgh train which stopped in Carlisle. People were standing throughout the train and no food available but I did get the last seat in my carriage, thankful to not be spending the night in Preston.
The good news is that, once again, I will be getting a free ride!

It's left me feeling a bit wobbly, nevertheless, I shall shortly totter out and post my vote. Apart from that, I shall tidy up, do my admin and await my Tesco delivery. Plus, I must get out and top up the bird bath, there are a few fledgling birds exploring the garden. One is a young blackbird performing acrobatics trying to get at the berries on the amelanchier tree, the branches are too slender to support its weight.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast 19C and will get hotter. I don’t mind the heat, it’s the cold I hate and wish our summers were longer.

I’m waiting for an appointment to extract the abscess affected molar. The dull aching around the whole jaw is getting me down. I do hope my bridgework can be saved however. My friend and pianist is giving a lunchtime concert today in Chester, i could have joined him for a vocal recital, but the combination of the sprained back, tooth and being on holiday made me turn it down.
Have a nice trip Grandmattie and thoughts to all🌺

Good morning from an overcast NE.
Yesterday started off sunny but soon clouded over and was not that pleasant in the garden.
Today my sister and BIL are coming and we are going out for lunch. They had a near escape yesterday when someone failed to stop at a give way sign and shot across the road in front of them, the dash cam footage was scary.

Enjoy your trips out grandMattie, shame to miss Chatsworth it is interesting and we spent a whole day there and bought lots of goodies in the gift shop.

Fingers crossed for MissOops improvement today.

Good morning from sunny Suffolk!
Another glorious day in lovely countryside. Yesterday we were at East Bergholt and Dedham and then spent the afternoon relaxing in the beautiful Beth Chatto’s Gardens.
You probably know Willie Lott’s Cottage at Flatford Mill - but it was my first visit and a wonderful guide took us round the “view points” of several Constable paintings.
Lots of walking and delightful company and lots to talk about!
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Dull in Yorkshire, but it will make things easier for when my gardener starts trimming the hedges.

Good morning everyone from the Scottish Borders where the rain is testing the roof repairs. Holding up so far!

When DGS gets up we will go through to Glasgow .

If you're looking for disappointment just back Scotland ⚽️ 😉

I'm glad miss oops is getting some attention now and seems to be recovering.

Sorry for your lack of good treatment Marydoll

Enjoy your holiday gMattie.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Lots of interesting holiday reports today, glad the weather is contributing, though I am hoping that it won’t be too hot for long as I wilt easily these days. Singing this afternoon and then a meal out with the WI so a pleasure filled day awaits so had better get it started. Hope Oops had more encouraging news as the day wears on.

A very late good morning from a grey damp Angus coast. Bring back the sun! But not the heat as I can't cope with that these days.
RosesandLilac how wonderful to see Constable's viewpoints! I recognised your photo immediately - so delightfully unchanged over the centuries.
Nothing to report from here - a day of admin while waiting for the sun to return.
Glad to hear that MissOops is gradually improving.
Sorry your DD has covid Gingster - there's a lot of it about and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere any time soon. I shall keep on having the jabs as long as they are offered, even though the last one was not a happy experience.
Enjoy your holidays everybody and I hope you all manage to keep cool.

Run out of puff above the reservoir. Sitting in the shade of an oak forest while waiting for DS to climb up then return to me.
