Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry but looking greyish cloud wise over brackley at the moment.
Today , the usual awaits as to Bicester , before returning home and daily unfolding of the drama the Tour De France cycle race on TV .
Health wise no change .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning and it’s dull here in Essex.

Had a smashing day yesterday with my friend at Hyde Hall. The weather was perfect , warm but not hot and we sat out to have our coffee and later on our lunch. We chatted and mooched around and said we’ll go back in September/October for the autumn colours. The pond was so full of lily pads that the ducks and moorhens couldn’t get through it. A lovely day.

(GG I don’t suppose you will be going now, with your poorly knee, take it easy. We could always meet over there for our next catch-up with Sar). 🤔.

Today I have a bit of housework , finish my book club book and Bridge this afternoon.

Take care all 🌸

Ash the light flooding through the stained glass windows is just lovely.
Dgs2 has woken up in a mood. It's going to be a long day!

Good morning all from the Black country, overnight rain again and a dull start to the day.
Had another clear out yesterday so have more for the charity shop.
Housework today and not much else.
Lovely photos Ash it always amazes me how the cathedrals of centuries ago were built without the equipment and technology that we have today.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

GG sorry you probably won’t be going now!

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it feels chilly but dry at least.
The roofer is due to return today. he went awal and finish the lime mortar on the chimney. Touch wood there's been no more water ingress.

My Kiwi DC and DGC leave me today. It has been so lovely having them here but inevitably they have to return to their far away lives.

My cousin from America arrives tonight and I have arranged to view a house for sale locally so plenty to distract me.

Great photos Ash.
I hope your summer house is ready before Autumn, Roses

Happy belated birthday Bellasnanna

Hope you all find something nice today.

Good morning from an overcast NE yet again.
The heating is on as it was yesterday, had to resort to a thick cardigan to watch TV last night.
Today is going to be a day of sorting clothes for my holiday, normally it would be all flimsy summer things in July but this year I am thinking all four seasons.

Thoughts are with the poorly and injured.

Morning, it was sunny, now clouded over in S Hants. The poorly knee club, Ash and GG13 I hope they improve today and of course Mizuna you’re doing so well.
Voluntary phone was busy yesterday, I have admin to complete, we were appalling in the first round at quiz last night, that doomed us!

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Looks like we had rain overnight but it should dry up later. Today would have been our 58th wedding anniversary so I shall cut some roses from the garden. I shall have a walk down to the pharmacy this morning to find out what has happened to my medication which was late last month and looks like it will be this month also. Good job it’s nothing my life depends on. Volunteering at school this afternoon and then clear out the utility room as I am having a new back door fitted tomorrow and he will be here early.
Ash my DD spent six months in Tours as part of her university course - she always said how lovely it and the surrounding area was.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning Mick and everyone from cool, grey Carlisle...again! I note the temperature here is much the same as that in Sydney where it is the height of winter.

Yesterday was miserable, by mid-morning rain had set in for the day so no gardening happened. Therefore, just a day of chores and admin for me plus finishing off the weekend papers.
Today I will be vacuuming and bathroom cleaning and then I must start in on my to-do list. There are one or two jobs that must get done before visitors arrive next week. After lunch though, I want to get out in the garden and instal more of my weekend purchases.

I hope the day goes well for you all.

Good Morning from a chilly Co Armagh
Visitors away , taking a large container of oil , car has an oil leak , local garage told them repair will be better done at their home town garage !
I’ve a few birthday cards to finish off but I’m procrastinating on here with my crochet on my knees !
I hope today is a better day for our poorly and fed up posters xx

Supermarket shop and Wimbledon the only plans for today so hope the weather doesn’t interrupt play or I may be forced to do something useful around the house. This is the one fortnight in the year when I am glad not to have any pressing commitments. I know I am not alone.

Oopsadaisy1 Tue 02-Jul-24 09:16:40

Good morning from an overcast and chilly Oxfordshire.
I’m wearing a winter T shirt and I’m trying to stop MrOops putting the heating on.

MissOops and dog went home yesterday, so a busy day changing beds and doing a general sort out .

So today is an easy day, with just some Admin to catch up on and Wimbledon later to watch.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning from South Lanarkshire, no comment about the weather. A quiet day I think until two eldest DGC drop in on the way from their induction day in Tesco’s where they are hoping to work for the summer. I want to arrange to take them out separately for lunch and catch up because when together I just can’t keep up/hear clearly with the speed of chat. I do see DGD1 for a monthly lunch during term but DGD2’s uni is further away and I would need to stay overnight so haven’t managed that yet (and I think she is a bit peeved, perhaps justifiably).

Other than that plenty to keep me busy if I choose to be so!

Sending everyone good wishes for the day and feeling for you Grammaretto

Good morning Mick and All from a cloudy South Bucks.

Hope you can muster a little energy Marydoll 💐

Thanks for your kind words yesterday about my brave poorly grandson.

I have been worrying about him moving onto a large Secondary School in September. Then I heard his parents have visited the Teacher designated to children with health issues and confirmed that our lad doesn’t have to wear regulation uniform which would irritate his skin more, all he needs is the school badge on his t-shirt and he can wear shorts to keep his legs cool all year round and when he misses school through flare-ups he will have a designated teacher to get him up to speed. I’m super impressed with the school and not so worried. 👍

Greyduster the idea of the roses to remember your special day 58 years ago is a lovely idea 🌹

hollysteers Tue 02-Jul-24 10:59:24

Good morning Mick and all from a cool northwest coast.
The funeral of my good friend and pianist was very moving yesterday, particularly when film was shown in the church of her playing and taking a bow. Such a lovely talented modest person, and spontaneous applause broke out.

Then a financial meeting in town with DS and DD on FaceTime in the south, which worked out well. Finances ok, good to hear.

This afternoon to music club, so will have a sing and get my music organised.
Thoughts to all and particularly to poorlies🌺

Good morning from a very grey but dry East Midlands. Spaghetti bolognese sauce prepared for tea tonight and then off to knit and knatter this afternoon.

Taichinan Tue 02-Jul-24 12:04:02

It's a minute before midday, so good morning all. And here I am on a dry grey Angus coast having forgotten to post earlier! Sorry. Just back in from tai chi and about to hang washing out so the rain can rain on it if it likes.
Lovely photos Ash.
Must go - just didn't want anybody to think I 'd gone AWOL again. Have a good day x
