Good morning from a grey, wet W Kent. Really bad night not sure why but a quiet day ahead so intend to potter
Best wishes to everyone struggling along
What's one health habit you've started that's actually made a difference?

Plans for the day as usual bus trip to Bicester ,and hoping to meet others on a similar routine .
Return have lunch and then settle to watch the Tour De France on TV .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a dull, damp, dreary & dismal Sefton. I really am so fedup with this awful weather. It is cold as well, and windy. ☹️
It is our busy day. Zoom exercise class first thing, then Pilates, nursery pickup & keep our GD2 entertained til mum & dad finish work. Hopefully I'll be too busy to think about the weather.
A late good morning from Malta where it is windy and a much cooler 26°C.
The cool early morning inspired me to leap out of bed and put another coat of paint on the walls in my backyard. I’m finding it all a lot harder than I’d envisaged. The wall is textured and the paint quite thick so it is not a very smooth process. I have definitely bitten off more than I can chew!
In haste as I’m being picked up by DD3 and the boys to go to an interactive centre where there is lots to do out of the sun.
I will read your posts on my return but in the meantime wish you all a good day.☀️
Good morning all from cool Glasgow, with rain forecast.
I have been awake half the night and ended up taking additional painkillers at 4am. R.A is an such insidious and relentless condition.
However, my young sacristan friend and I are planning to empty the sacristy safe (the size of a small room) and give it a spring clean, which it badly needs, so I must stop moaning and get myself up and out!
As usual, half my medication had to be ordered yesterday (because they are CDs, they cannot be ordered in advance), therefore I need to go back today. Another full on day.
I long for a day of doing absolutely nothing. 😁
GMB, I too plan to make gooseberry jam, but my gooseberries are not quite ripe enough yet.
Best wishes for all the poorlies. Nankate, I hope you feel better soon. You have reminded me to book my Covid booster, it was cancelled because I was too unwell to have it.
Have the best day you can folks.
Good morning from Durham. Another cool, cloudy day here.
The electrician didn’t turn up yesterday - when I rang they said it was arranged for today. It definitely wasn’t, as I’d had to postpone my chiropodist and meeting a friend for it - the visit is rearranged for 15/7. Luckily, non essential work.
Today, I’m meeting the friend who I had to postpone yesterday at a local garden centre, we have lots to talk about.
Later, I’m going to collect Little Dog and have him overnight, while DD2 has her cleaners. She’s having X-rays today on a painful shoulder and her DH is still unwell, but without a diagnosis and struggling to do much. All very frustrating.
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning Mick and all. A moment ago I was sitting in a patch of sunlight It's come to something when that's a fact worth mentioning!
I wonder if you all remember Hitchcock's film, The Birds? Well, I had my own version of that here yesterday. Two flocks of young starlings converged on my bird table - there must have been nigh on 100 of them and it was actually quite scary! There was nothing outside that was not perched upon by at least half a dozen squabbling birds and the whole patio just became a seething mass and was not in any way pleasant to look at! I love watching murmurations of starlings as moving clouds in the sky, but I've never experienced anything like that before. Obviously Hitchcock must have!
On a much more pleasant note, a gorgeous little yellowhammer, drooket after a rainshower, perched on my fence as it fluffed out its feathers. Just a fleeting moment, then he was gone, but so beautiful.
That was a frustrating day yesterday grandmattie. I hope today's not the same.
What a wonderful job for your son, Mizuna and I hope some of that wonderful Cornish sun shines co-operately as he works. I can imagine this part of your convalescence must be very frustrating for you so I hope it soon passes.
Today I'm off to Perth to take Dancing GD and her friend out to celebrate her degree achievement and to encourage her to keep dancing for goodness sake. According to DD, I won't have any joy as she has tried everything she can think of. Oh well I suppose many of us have gone down many a wrong path in our youth. Myself, I did three years of teacher training, absolutely loved the academic side of it, but only ever actually taught for two years. Regrets? Not a one. But probably not the right time to recount that today!
I hope you all enjoy your day, whatever it brings. ☀️☔⚡🌈🐦
Good morning from a brightish South Downs - rain forecast for a couple of hours at midday which is annoying as I’m getting the garden sorted before we go on holiday.
DS popped in yesterday for a couple of hours - listened to his holiday news and work news. He works for the EA and lives his job which is always interesting as he is involved in interesting stuff like renovating environments for our wildlife and plant species etc, cleaning our rivers and working with Natural England, RSBP, farmers and other interested people. They are all highly skilled, highly educated folk and I love listening to their plans and decisions. Yesterday he was talking about nightjars, nightingales and other nightly animals - fascinating.
Left over Cold roast beef salad for dinner.
Enjoy your day all
Peace and harmony
Chiropodist due this morning, singing this afternoon so need to get going. Sorry that several posters are not well but hope things improve as the day wears on and that Mizuna continues to make progress.
Good morning Mick and everyone from damp, cool Carlisle. It has evidently rained overnight and things should improve as the day goes on but who knows....At least it saves me watering.
I had a good session in the garden yesterday and nearly finished planting out my new items. I was pleased to see the predation of a dahlia had ceased, I'd surrounded it with a good layer of coffee grounds. Perhaps those do work after all.
This morning, I'm off into town on a few errands and possibly buy myself a dress. I rarely wear them but I really ought to have a summery one for an upcoming occasion.
Later, there's ironing to do and definitely some reading.
Wishing you a better day grandMattie and, indeed, a good day for all. Some sun would improve matters!
Good morning Mick and all from a brightening northwest coast. It was lovely to get back to the music club, sing and see everyone again after my holiday. There were two birthdays, so homemade drizzle cake and Victoria sponge.
Then into town and had my nails done, the colour is too orange really, but as I had changed my mind twice before, I just went with it…I usually just have a classic red, but felt like a change.
I do wish it would warm up, the summer clothes are just hanging in the wardrobe as if it’s autumn.
Good wishes to Mizuna and all with worries 🌺
A late good morning from South Lanarkshire, not raining now but 9 degrees, real feel 6🥺
For some reason it’s taken me forever to get organised, so long that the rain has stopped thank goodness. Off to lunch group (used to be exercise class, now we just exercise our tongues!)
I takes me two bus journeys (four in total) but I have adjusted and either read or chat to fellow passengers so all good.
Sore knees are not a bit funny, it’s easy to take moving about easily for granted, I hope things improve for you soon GrannyGravy and that everyone else struggling has a better day.
Is that the mountain you’re supposed to climb in bare feet baubles?😂 I do hope your son in law complied with tradition!!
My dad told me he did it as a youth but I didn’t/don’t believe him. I hope you’re all enjoying your holiday.
Wishing everyone a good day
Good morning from a wet M1. We are on route to visit friends near Bath for a few days. Do hope it will warm up a bit only 14 degrees at mo. A museum for the boys tmrw and shopping in Bath and a craft afternoon for the girls.
