I have on occasions been asked to make Scottish tablet to go with the coffee at family weddings. It was a marathon!

The yummiest canapés I ever had were at a GN lunch in a members home. Another Gran had brought bowls of the most delicious,tiny, cheese scones halved and buttered. Some were herbed and others just cheese. All were fantastic. They were about the size of a 2p piece. (After I tried one I didn't pass them round at all and probably ate consumed almost the whole lot )

They took about 8 hours to make and assemble, maybe 10 hours if you count going shopping and writing up the recipes. I was pleased with how how they turned out. Roughly 5 per person and they all got eaten very quickly! (Three slid off the plate onto the grass as I was offering them round, so I had an extra few for myself!) 😋
I'm back home now to change, and return for the evening. Everyone looked lovely and the little children were a delight.
