Well I’m not a football fan but thank the Lord for tonight’s victory.
The weathers awful, the new government is not instilling much confidence but Gareth Southgate’s team has got through to the final!

A disappointing result for us but a good match to watch and tbh Spain outplayed us.

My younger neighbour said to me on Saturday “I’m desperate to see England win a big tournament, aren’t you?” I was able to say to him “The day after we got married in 1966, we watched them win the World Cup.” What a day that was! I was genuinely hoping they’d do it again yesterday but sadly it wasn’t to be.
