Thanks karma but I can’t take Ibuprofen with high blood pressure medication. A pity, as I know it works well with paracetamol.
Angela Rayner is a scrounger, grifter and shameless hypocrite.
Good Morning Everyone,
A grey but dry start here in brackley at the moment.
Planning my usual routine bus journey to Bicester , and meet others I know plus a small shop.
My TV seems to be acting normal at the moment which is better than last weekend .
Apart from watching the drama unfold on the Tour De France a quiet day with the usual Chinese Take Away later .
Take Care,
Mick
Thanks karma but I can’t take Ibuprofen with high blood pressure medication. A pity, as I know it works well with paracetamol.
A late good morning from a grey chilly Essex 🥶
Have been to the supermarket and local butchers, fridge, freezer and snacks cupboard are all full in readiness for the teen GC next weekend.
Ashcombe I am amazed your management company haven’t been more helpful!
hollysteers so sorry you are on pain, rest up as much as possible.
Have a good day folks 🙋♀️
Holly hope you’re sorted soon and the advice from karma helps 💐
Morning all,
A rather cool, grey day here. It’s not raining yet but it looks quite threatening.
Toothache is awful Hollysteers. I do hope you don’t have long to wait to get the problem sorted.
Well, I’ve got the joy of an ironing pile waiting, so I’d better go and make a start.
That sounds horrible Hollysteers fingers crossed your appointment is speedy.
Good morning Mick and all from a grey, cold Angus coast. But the sun shone yesterday and all the washing dried, so no complaining from me!
Happy trip away Gingster - a change is as good as a rest, they say.
I hope that emergency appointment comes quickly Hollysteers - that is so miserable for you
Ash that is a ridiculous situation you find yourself in, and so worrying. I think you're so right to proceed with a solicitor. Thinking of you.
I'm glad your little twins are beginning to settle down Bellasnana - it won't be long before they cry because they're not going to nursery ........ 😉
I've done my "time" with covid but it's left me feeling very wabbit, so I won't be going to meet up with DD and girls today sadly. But discretion is the better part of valour and all that ......
So I shall make a start on the mountain of tasks put off last week instead - and have a lovely time watching Wimbledon of course.
Have a lovely day all x
Ash, I may be repeating what you know but just in case
The management company is responsible for maintenance of the leasehold component of the block. You need to check your title deeds as the leakage may well be in the portion that is freehold ie you own that portion and therefore it is not within management co remit
Also become very familiar with the terminology used in the transfer documents ie lessee, lessor etc. It will help you when in contact with your solicitor
You may need a duplicate of all the paperwork from transfer and you may need to download documents from land registry to verify your property boundary
Holly, paracetamol plus ibuprofen, alternating, correct daily dose for each but one hour apart. Much better pain relief
Good morning from Severnside everyone. It’s cloudy here.
Yesterday after my weekly shop I didn’t do much. I don’t like the part where it all has to be put away even though I do organise my bags on filling to where the food has to go once home.
Today I’ve got some bagging up of rubbish to do. I’ll then go into town to pick up my prescription come home and trim up one of my front garden plants.
Happy 👒 hunting Jax
Have good day all 💐
Much sympathy Holly, that sounds awful. I hope you get your urgent appointment asap.🤞
Good morning from a dull but dry Oxfordshire, heating has clicked on again, so it must be chilly out.
We are out to get more bathroom ‘stuff ‘ today, some items have arrived already , some not shopped for yet.
Holly you poor thing, abscess pain is horrendous, hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon.
Ash isn’t there any chance that your Water Authority will readdress the enormous bill to your Management Company, after all in a block of flats no one person can be responsible for a leak that isn’t actually in their flat? Hopefully your Solicitor will have some luck with them.
Hope everyone has a good day, hugs for the poorly Grans.
Good morning from yet again cloudy grey fenland. Off to a shopping outlet with DD2 today and GS. Later today it is DGD2 dancing show. She suffers terrible nerves so hoping she will be ok🤞.
Have a good day everyone
Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
Bit of a disaster at the dentist yesterday. After removing some bridging, she couldn’t remove the whole tooth, and I’m left with my abscess and root. Now awaiting an urgent appointment with a dental surgeon at the local hospital 🙄
The pain is bad and I’ve spent the night lying with my cheek on a hot water bottle and regular doses of paracetamol. Hardly know what to do with myself..
Anyhoo, thinking of all with similar troubles and worries 🌺
Good morning from a grey looking Essex coast. Shopping this morning, ironing later and a quiz tonight.
DD2 and family flew to Cyprus yesterday, I hope they get some sun whilst they are away.
My two youngest granddaughters, 6 and 8, both had excellent school reports. I'm very proud of them, they both love learning.
Thinking of everyone with sadness or illness.
Have the best Saturday you can and lets all pray for summer for start soon xx
Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 12°C.
I overdid things yesterday (so unlike me) and felt quite unwell last night, so it was an early night for me.
Instead of waiting for DH to return from the golf ( I am a martyr) I took my self off early for my xray.
Although it was only 9am, the car park was almost full.
Fortunately, I secured the last disabled space, right at the top of the hill. It was right next to the road, which goes round the car park, I was glad no-one would be parking beside me..
However, I got back to my car to find some selfish, non disabled, (no Blue Badge displayed) entitled person in a large luxury car, had parked on the chevrons and road next to my car. 😡 There is no way a wheelchair user could get into my car or access the boot. Why do people behave like that?
I was in agony trying to manoeuvre myself into the car, because I could only get the door open so far.
Of course there was no parking attendant to be found.
The various radiology waiting rooms were so busy at 9am!
The radiographer to me that there is a backlog for results and it could be a few weeks before I get them. I told him not to worry, I have only been waiting since December for it! A few more weeks wouldn't matter.
I seized the opportunity to pop into Matalan on the way home. Initially, I thought their sale was rubbish.
However, it didn't stop me buying two casual jackets ( I really needed them not) a load of stuff for Babydoll 😍 and a garden planter. All half price.
When I got to the checkout, I got another 10% off. Result.
Ash, I hope you get things sorted, what a worry for you. I don't understand why the management team won't help, surely that's why you pay fees.
GM, I hope your eye improves and I am relieved that you got it checked out.
Today I will just potter, I'm a bit out of sorts today. The vertigo is starting to rear its head again and my balance isn't too great, fingers crossed it will settle.
I was thinking of Blossoming and Kalu, I hope all is as well as it can be with them.💐
Enjoy your day folks, whatever your plans.
Good morning Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is currently dry, but cloudy. I had a lovely meet up yesterday with a good friend and her husband in one of the lovely Peak District villages. We ensconced ourselves in a tea shop and talked ourselves silly! Memorable morning😊. On the way home I stopped at Hassop on the Monsal Trail with the idea of having a walk down to the viaduct and back. Had boots and trail shoes in the car but found I had no suitable socks☹️ so I gave up on the idea as I knew I couldn’t do it in the shoes I had on. Pity, as the weather was perfect for it. Called in on DD instead as I hadn’t seen her on Thursday for our usual lunch date.
Food shopping, housework and a pile of paperwork to sort out today.
Ash I hope you get some sort of resolution soon💐.
Have the best day you can folks.
Good morning from a dull and cloudy Black Country, where it has rained overnight.
Lovely evening yesterday on a canal barge trip with a group of ladies. Singing along with the singer, and fish and chips stop half way.! Fairly chilly though, which is so wrong for mid July!
My eldest DGD is 20 today! Seems only yesterday my son (her Dad) was the same age. We are going out for a family meal tonight with them all.
Enjoy your Saturday everyone.
Good morning from a grey and damp Lincolnshire yet again.
My only outing yesterday was to the recycle bin to deposit some cardboard.
Family didn't manage to escape from the escape room in the allotted time and seemed a little disappointed with the Harry Potter theme.
They were away for eight hours but did return with some Chinese food from M&S and we talked about their day over dinner.
No decision yet about what we will do today, nothing strenuous though because DIL and GD2 need to prepare for their trip away tomorrow. They are off to London for a K pop concert in Hyde park.
Have a good weekend.
Morning from a sunny S Hants, disgraceful Ashcombe these management companies seem to actually do very little, good luck Monday.
How lovely Mizuna that biscuit raises a smile.
A happy day yesterday, our grandson will be captain of his new football team for tomorrow’s game and my son proposed to his partner. Both events made us very proud.
MrJ playing at a charity golf tournament later, I’ll garden potter, get a wash on and read the paper.
🦩🦩
Good morning from a dry & bright - so far, showers forecast - Sefton. I have a pile of washing to do so not happy about the forecast showers. I begrudge using the dryer on a supposedly summer's day. A quiet day yesterday ended with a very last minute session of babysitting as DS1 &DDiL had been let down by their planned babysitter. They are very considerate, they don't ask very often.
A trip into town on the train to collect my repaired watch & a nice lunch. Be a shame not to take advantage of all the excellent & varied restaurants to be found in the city centre. (And it means another no cooking day😃.) I'm sure our route to the restaurant has to be via JL, M&S etc etc😬.
Hope your dilemma with SW Water & your management company can be resolved quickly Ash. What an unnecessary stressful situation.
Wishing you all a peaceful weekend.
Good morning and ive e been up since 5.30 . 🙄. It’s chilly and grey here in Essex.
Getting ready today to go away for a couple of weeks , hopefully, to our seaside bolt hole. We’ll travel up tomorrow and get the garden under control AGAIN! We have had our odd job man in to mow the lawns and fingers crossed our situpon lawn mower is repaired. Can’t wait to get away!
I hope you all have a good day.🌸
Good morning all from overcast South Lanarkshire.
DH and I had a glorious outing with DS’s girls yesterday. We took them to a lovely wee play park then spent the rest of the afternoon on the beach making sandcastles and gathering shells. Their Dad cycled down to meet us after work. It was such a beautiful sunny day, it actually felt like summer at last.
Food shop and pottering today I think.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning from a cloudy W Kent.
Supermarket shop this morning and then tennis this afternoon. Sounds simple, hope it is.
Love the biscuit Mizuna
Beautiful flowers Bonnybanko
Best wishes
Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and dry although rain is forecast. Ash it sounds very unsatisfactory. I hope your lawyer can help. Mizuna what a lovely granddaughter!
Yesterday was a busy day. I picked up my prescription and deposited the dried towels to dd. The boys were happy to see me and gave me big cuddles. Then I visited an art exhibition to support a friend who has four paintings exhibited. Her work is always lovely. I met another friend there who was also exhibiting. After that, home for lunch and my aunt messaged asking if I wanted to meet up at the garden centre. Off I trotted again for tea and a strawberry tart-my first of the year. The chat was good. The strawberry tart a mound of cream with a few slices of strawberries artfully placed to hide that it was mostly cream. Last night I got rid of the ironing pile to my satisfaction. It took me over an hour, but I was glad I had hung out three loads of washing and stripped the bed earlier.
Today I'm going back to the garden centre to meet another friend for breakfast. She has been unwell with covid so we haven't met up for a couple of weeks. The rest of the day I will do a spot of housework and potter in the garden. Pasta for dinner. Have a good day all.
Good morning all from a very cloudy North Leicestershire.
Not much on here part from a trip to Waitrose for their cheese bread which I will take to Wolfie who is under the weather. An excuse to nip and see them all.
DH and I are going to a restaurant in the village this evening.
Have the best day possible everyone.
