Good Morning Everyone,
Its looks like another hot warm day here in brackley at the moment.
Yesterday , spent time with sister and brother in law at cemetery, then went in Banbury earlier than planned for visual fields test ,and also sorted out another appointment which had been duplicated , eye wise got seen early so bus journey home to see end of Tour De France stage .
Then got some Fish & Chips which seemed to be under new ownership .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from a muggy Black country.
Well I slept for 9hrs most unusual I don't like getting up this late I like an earlier start to my day, although I have no plans so it won't interfere with anything.
As it's Saturday usual full English calling so I shall catch up with everybody's happenings later.
Best wishes for anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.
Have a lovely day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning from sunny Cambridgeshire. I’m late to the party but been awake since 4.30 am🙈 Just sitting in the garden having breakfast before going out on our bikes for a ride around the villages via various off road trails. Otherwise not a lot planned today except a few garden lights to hang, don’t know why I bother they never work for long🤷‍♀️ Need to wash down paintwork on garages too they suddenly appear very dirty!

We are experimenting with solar bird scarer devices (DH idea) as the pigeons, crows are sitting in our neighbours enormous conifer frightening our resident pretty little birds away. Have put up silver dangling things too. Trying to get rid of big noisy birds to encourage the littlest back in garden. Oh well will see what happens. Probably nothing!

Lots of celebrations on here today so wishing everyone a good day celebrating and happy holidays to those going away. Also anyone feeling poorly and low do hope you have a better day

Take care 💐

Good morning everyone from Severnside.

Wishing Happy Birthday’s to MrJax 🎂🍺, Bonnybanko 🎂🍷and Happy Anniversary to Mr&Mrslulu 🥂
Lots of celebrations this weekend.

I like the sound of your boat trip Sar. How far up the Thames are you planning to go? I know someone who has walked it.

I’m having some work done and it was an early finish yesterday owing to the heat. I had shopping to do but left it until today as it’s cooler. I didn’t starve.

Have a good day all with safe and successful travels for those that are 💐

Good morning from a dull very muggy Stockport.
Just popping in to thank Sar for reminding me of one of my favourite books of all time…. Three Men in a boat.
I shall look it out and reread it.
I hope your trip is less “interesting “ as theirs was portrayed but thoroughly enjoyable.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
My poor sore hand from the dog bite is dominating everything. I'm now on antibiotics and I hope they kick in soon. I'm feeling very sorry for myself.
The dog owner's sister called with a card and more apologies.
DS and family will visit today. She's a nurse.

How horrid some people can be gMattie

Happy birthday bonnybanko enjoy yourself 🎂
Enjoy meandering up the river Sar
Hoping everyone has some joy today.

Happy holiday Bellasnana.
Happy Birthday Bonnybanko.

harrigran Sat 20-Jul-24 08:44:30

Good morning from a dry, mild but overcast NE.
We left the holiday cottage in searing heat and were glad to be in the car with air con. The journey took three and a half hours, there were no hold ups.
I unpacked but spent the rest of the day just relaxing.
I was very tired and went to bed early.
No shopping done so I will be eating out of the freezer and store cupboard, I actually create more imaginative meals if I do this.
No plans for today, perhaps catch up with some admin.
Have a good weekend.

Bellasnana Sat 20-Jul-24 08:42:13

Happy birthday Bonnybanko to you and your twin sister.🎂

At airport far too early. Flight 20 mins delayed so far and the place is heaving! Wish I’d brought a mask as covid is doing the rounds again here. 😷
Thanks for all the good wishes.🤗🥰

Good morning Mick and all and Happy Birthday Bonnybanko and MrJ. Sorry I didn't manage to post yesterday, but I suddenly decided to take a run down to Dundee to the new M&S there. Well, not new new, but relocated from the City centre. It is 'rather nice' I have to say. But was it worth the hassle?
The hassle is caused by the fact that the only route for me, through Arbroath, has road works right through the centre of the town (and will have for 77 weeks!!!) Not only that, but there are also two other looong lots of works as well. My journey home took nearly an hour longer than it should have done. The thing that really annoyed me though was the entitled ^very many rude adjectives^ drivers who drove past the queueing traffic in the outside lane and then right round the roundabout (so that it looked as though they were going to the golf club) so that they could 'legitimately' push their way ahead of the rest of us, no doubt congratulating themselves on how smart they were. That sort of selfish behaviour makes me so cross!
Anyway, off to the beach for our monthly Tai chi on the beach so can't spend longer on here. I hope all the people with tales of health woe yesterday are much better today flowers
Enjoy your days in the sunny warmth x

Good morning from an overcast W Kent.
Happy birthday Bonnybanko
Karmalady flowers
Today is our 57th wedding anniversary
We are seeing most of the family during the day although I don’t think they have realised it is our anniversary. We are all getting together as DD1 and family are here from Scotland. So great for us.

Morning all from a warm but cloudy SE Essex.

Have brought the teens back here, so they can spend time with Grandpa. They have all ready planned a BBQ for this evening.

I need to pop to local shop for a few food items (have forgotten how much teen boys eat)

Happy Birthday bonnybanko 🥂🎂🍾

Enjoy your time on the Thames Sar53 how exciting 🛥️🛥️

Safe journey Bellasnanna wishing you a fabulous time in Italy

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 16°C.

Good news about the MOTs, I always get quite anxious, waiting to see if the car passes.

Yesterday, I went to Silverburn for a few bits and pieces. I was tired after Thursday's busy day, so it took ages to get round a few shops.
It was so busy and anxious to avoid crowded places, and very rude shoppers that I decided to walk up the outside of the mall to get back to my car. I began to feel unwell and the wonky trolley required a good bit of effort. I ended up, sitting on a bench outside for ages, trying to get a breath.
Mr MD, started to worry, when the location on my phone, showed me not moving for ages. (I put Live location on my phone, when I am out, so that DH doesn't worry.)

Later in the afternoon after a nap I offered to help DH get his new wireless headphones working, because he couldn't get them to work, but he declined, saying he would wait for SIL to have a look. 😡 What would I a former IT co-ordintor know about these things?. 😉
I waited until he was out of the way and had them working in no time. 😁

SIL has invited himself for lunch, because DD is at a girlie thing. I have made minestrone soup for lunch, which will do everyone. However, I will leave the menfolk to it, because the conversation will be dominated by talk of football, golf and whiskies they have bought! 😉

DD's father is in hospital and poorly. They were on holiday in England, but had to return home.
My wee Dollie is extremely upset, because a close friend of DS's died a few weeks ago and then she heard DH's brother's anniversary announced at Mass. Her grandpa foolishly regaled DIL in front of Dollie, when they visited him in hospital, with all his ailments and treatment. 😡 She is now convinced that all the people she loves are going to die.😪

I have a few parish tasks to do today, including updating the website, then Vigil Mass tonight. I shall raid the overflowing freezer for dinner, I just can't be bother baking an effort! 😉

I hope Litterpicker is much improved after her ordeal.

Enjoy your day folks.

Good morning from a cool and dull Suffolk but I think the sun is due to appear shortly.

Our planned visit to the sea yesterday didn’t happen as it was so hot even in the late afternoon that the thought of getting in the car, even for a 20 minute drive didn’t appeal. We stayed in the summerhouse instead where we had the benefit of the lovely air with the doors and windows open and not the direct sun( which has just now appeared as I type).

Another peaceful day at home before a busy day with family tomorrow. DGD2 arrived home in Bristol from the sports trip to South Africa which has obviously the trip of a lifetime. DD obviously delighted, and somewhat relieved I think,to have her home and their border terrier thrilled and very excited to see her. They sent us a video of the ecstatic welcome they gave each other.

GrannySomerset Sat 20-Jul-24 08:06:02

Back to grey skies and lower temperatures so we have had summer for now. Not sorry because the sudden heat flattened me and all I managed yesterday was a late afternoon shopping trip to prepare for invasion today. Decided I couldn’t face cooking dinner tonight and have booked a table at an excellent local pub instead. And I don’t feel in the least bit guilty! Hope everyone has a good day, especially Bonnybanko.

Good morning from s somerset

A subdued day for me again, my lovely neighbour died on thursday, at home after being ill for some time. We moved in at the same time, he was always lovely, kind and helpful. There were three of us, all kind and helpful to each other, now there is just me and I have to come to terms with this

Today, will be whatever unfolds. I always have sewing backup and it is so complicated that it takes me out of myself. I will also get myself out, just for a walk, carrying a raincoat

Life goes on, I don`t like the changes but will adapt

Have a good day

Bonnybanko Sat 20-Jul-24 07:49:35

Good morning from the east coast of Fife where it’s meant to be a dry and dull day. I’m not too sure about that because the sun is starting to come around the back of my house

I had the best day in a long while yesterday I went to the city of Edinburgh went along the most expensive street with my adult grandson, had the most delicious lunch along with a PinaColada mmmmmm today it’s party day because it’s my birthday

Have a good day my friends I’ll try not to overindulge but I can’t promise 🤩🤩 🎉🎉🎉🎁🎁🎁🥂🥂🥂

Good morning from warm and dry South Lanarkshire.

Enjoy your trip to Naples Bellasnana.

I’m a bit achy today after doing a shift in the charity shop yesterday. DS and family are away so no childminding but messaged me last night and asked if I was feeling sad which took me by surprise as I had been feeling a low for a couple of days. Strange.

This morning I’m going out for coffee with a younger friend whose family are going through an incredibly difficult time. I think she’s really struggling to cope just now.

Wishing everyone the best day possible.
