Good Morning Everyone,
I have woken to a grey but dry start here in brackley at the moment.
Today , stay in do some much needed housework before having lunch and watching final stage of the Tour De France on TV.
Health wise I feel OK despite a weight loss ,but its better than it was 12 months ago.
Take Care,
Mick

LLFL DH and I saw “Present Laughter” at the Globe Theatre in 1993 with Tom Conti and Jenny Seagrove. Classic Noel Coward and very funny.

Morning everyone, it’s grey but warm (18°)

Will take the day as it comes, I think one teen GS wants to go to football club practice, the other will just chill.

Enjoy the day 🙋‍♀️

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is currently 12 °C.

I have had a night of bizarre moods. Baubles, in my dreams I visited a large garden centre, which unusually had a charity shop section. It was full of beautiful clothes, with sewn in personalised labels, which said, Made for *Baubles by Monsoon! I would have bought them, but they were all size 8. 🤣 How bizarre is that?
I think it was triggered by seeing an elegant parishioner at Mass last night. She is your double.

Yesterday turned out to be really busy. SIL ate me out of house and home, then DS, DIL and Babydoll arrived unexpectedly.
Baby had been sick n the bedroom carpet, so they needed to borrow the carpet cleaner.
She totally ignored us all and made straight for her toybox to pull everything out.
I had just finished tidying up was was admiring how clean and tidy everything was, when they arrived! 🤣
T
Later, we saw our beloved Dollie at Mass last night, a perfect day.

I am not feeling too good today, I feel as if I have a chest infection brewing again, so I am just going to potter, apart from roasting a large piece of silverside, which I found in the freezer. DH is delighted, but he may be eating it for days and days in various formats. 😉

Lots of business going on here, enjoy. Bellananna, I am so envious. I hope you have a lovely time.

Good morning Mick and everyone from cloudy Carlisle where it looks like rain shortly.
Yesterday evening it rained heavily. Again, only one day of heat here, that was Friday when we hit 25°C....lovely!

I was planning a visit to a different garden centre this morning, shall I let myself be put off by potential raininess?

Karma I hope your parcel is recovered, how upsetting for you.

I hope you all have a pleasant, and sunny, day.

Morning from my bit of South Lanarkshire. I went to vigil mass so am feeling smug baubles!

karma that’s not good at all, I hope your precious tools are found soon.

Your family get together sounds just lovely brook I hope the sun shines for you!
Grammaretto, you are having quite a time of it, I’m sure family tea together helped a little bit and I hope the improvent to your hand continues apace.

11 year old DGD is coming today to stay for a few days, I’m so looking forward to it. She would love you Mizuna, she is very arty and loves sewing and crafts. Unfortunately those are not my strengths but I’ll do my best. We will cook together and she’ll enjoy that.

Wishing a good Sunday to everyone.

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
The abscess and shards of tooth are under control with industrial strength antibiotics and painkillers, swelling reduced so I’m feeling slightly more human. No news of my hospital appointment and if no joy, will be going private.

DD bought a tv and set it up in my bedroom yesterday, so kind and rather a novelty for me. I’m hoping not to spend too much time there watching it, but nice to have. She went out with friends last night and I had mash and mince, just right for my poor old mouth.

It’s her last day here and she’s been a real Florence Nightingale and friends have been in touch as I’ve missed my usual meetings etc, so it’s nice to be remembered.

Hope your health is ok Mick, oh to be in Naples feeling well Bellasnana and thoughts to all🌺

hollysteers, I keep meaning to send good wishes and sympathy to you: I have been horrified at your tooth saga, it has sounded dreadful. I’m glad you seem to be a little better and really hope you get properly sorted soon x

Gingster the current orange moon (July) is the Buck Moon.

Jaxjacky Sun 21-Jul-24 09:55:02

Pleased to hear you’re a little more comfortable hollysteers any toothache is the pits, yours must be the worst.

Grammaretto Sun 21-Jul-24 10:22:26

Thanks for the sympathy over my dog bite. From all the stories I've since been told, more dogs should be muzzled when in public places. This one had tried minutes before on the girl at the till but she escaped.

Bellasnanna how lovely! You deserve to have a pampered holiday.

Good morning from cloudy West Sussex. I’m just dropping in briefly to prove I’m still alive! I am gradually recovering from my infection. Last day of antibiotics today.

Grammaretto, I hope your antibiotics soon clear up the infection from the dog bite.

Hollysteers, I’m glad to hear you are improving, also with antibiotics. I hope you hear about a hospital appointment soon - surely you shouldn’t have to dip into savings?

Marydoll, I hope you feel better with a more restful day.

Thinking of all with challenges and missing friends 💐
