Taking my life in my hands as this is bound to be a contentious issue and I foresee the deletions flying thick and fast…
Here goes

If you had to choose only one out of these to eat for the rest of your life - and the other never again, which would it be?

Cheese 🧀 or chocolate 🍫

(And for the aficionados - which variety?)

Cheese. I gave up sugar earlier this year and am doing quite well :-) Although it would be hard not to make a mistake and accidentally eat some chocolate some time!

A strong mature cheddar wins hands down even though I love chocolate.

Jarlsberg cheese. Not overly fond of chocolate.

Cheese, all sorts -it's all cheese. No contest here.

I love most British, Swiss and French cheeses. But dislike most Italian cheeses. They are not all the same ;)

I love both but it would have to be dark chocolate!

flappergirl Wed 14-Aug-24 20:18:43

No question, cheese!

Cheese, probably cheddar if it could be just one type. 😁

humptydumpty Wed 14-Aug-24 19:56:35

Looks like a win for cheese?

MaggsMcG Wed 14-Aug-24 19:43:42

Not fair I can't choose I love both at different times in my food chain. I think I would chose cheese to eat and chocolate to never eat .. .. but I've just eaten chocolate and not craving cheese at the moment. Tomorrow I might chose the other way round. 🤣

Cheese for me please! Can’t imagine life without it 🧀😋❤️

PennyWhistle Wed 14-Aug-24 18:40:11

Cheese always - extra mature Cheddar please smile

Fleurpepper Wed 14-Aug-24 16:02:13

cheese, 100%

grandtanteJE65 Wed 14-Aug-24 15:49:23

Cheese preferably all different kinds, but if I could only have one kind, I would need to spend about two years making up my mind.

LadyGaGa Wed 14-Aug-24 15:45:28

Cheese please! Strong cheddar or Black Bomber with Branston Pickle or a great big crunchy pickled onion 😋 Or Castello creamy blue cheese with crackers. I could go on ……..

Chocolate!!! I'm not an afficionado- anything Cadbury's will be fine.

And me!

Norah Wed 14-Aug-24 15:29:35

Dark Chocolate, Scandinavian my favourite.

Lizzie44 Wed 14-Aug-24 15:28:28

What a cruel choice. I would probably keep the cheese (a British blue cheese) on the basis that cheese is more flexible (eat it with biscuits, toast it on bread, cook with it...). But hard to imagine saying goodbye to 70% dark chocolate.

JustkeepswimmingDonna Wed 14-Aug-24 15:28:17

Easy. Chocolate. Specifically Ferrero Rocher as my 1st choice. This is coming from a bona fide (self diagnosed) chocolate addict.

tictacnana Wed 14-Aug-24 15:23:45

Definitely cheese! Mmmm!

DancingDuck Wed 14-Aug-24 14:07:08

Keep chocolate, goodbye cheese ! I don't like cheese anyway wink

BlueBelle Wed 14-Aug-24 14:04:18

I think cheese is winning

AreWeThereYet Wed 14-Aug-24 14:01:48

I would keep cheese. I rarely eat chocolate but love lots of different cheeses. Just had a brie, bacon and cranberry toastie 😋

A few weeks ago we came across a box of Roses we bought for Halloween last year that we'd forgotten about. We've been eating them ever since and they're nearly gone and that will probably be the last chocolate we'll eat until Christmas.

missdeke Wed 14-Aug-24 13:32:59

I'd drop cheese, I only eat cheddar and even that I can't eat the strong stuff. The thought of never eating chocolate again horrifies me.

nexus63 Wed 14-Aug-24 13:25:11

chedder cheese, don't like chocolate.
