Dizzy months after covid.

My DH and I have had Covid twice. Both of us feel unsteady from time to time but of course we don't really know if it's Covid-related. I find it very hard to look up at a high building or to look at a bird flying. Just doing that makes me feel dizzy. I also feel unsteady when showering and when walking downstairs. Of course all this might just be old age but we both say that we have not felt 100% since Covid.

DH got covid on holiday two years ago and ended up with such severe vertigo that he fell in the middle of the road. We had to go down the private route to discover it was an inflamed nerve in the ear caused by the virus. This does not show in scans of the head. He got exercises to do to retain his brain , was fine for a year then had an attack a couple of months ago . We were all set to start having the odd holiday but stuck at home again.

Have had BPPV for several years. Epley manoeuvre sometimes helps but GP did it last week and am more dizzy than ever.

He says he will refer me to ENT if it doesn’t improve in another week.

I go dizzy if I have to tilt my head back to reach something high up or clean my teeth and also if I have to get something off the floor or low cupboard. The whole room whirls around when I go to bed.

I had covid recently and my balance has not been brilliant since but not actually dizzy.

My DH has had dizzy spells on and off since having Covid - even though it was only a mild cold.

He has had the anti-nausea tablets and has been told to do the Espley manoeuvres. He has done them occasionally but he isn't great at remembering

Yes my daughter got positional vertigo following covid. Was prescribed anti nausea tabs and they did the manoeuvre mentioned above.

You can get benign post viral vertigo, it is quite common. GP can prescribe anti sickness pills (I’m thinking it’s called sturgeon but isn’t that a fish? 😅) and they can do the epley manoeuvre on you which can help
