Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.
I am aiming to do some cooking today but have to nip to the egg farm and Waitrose before I can start.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Problems in Harry and Meghan Marriage
Good Morning Everyone ,
Its dry but with a grey looking sky over brackley at the moment .
Today , the usual bus trip to Bicester do a small shop and maybe see friends returning home to watch the Vuelta cycle race on TV this afternoon .
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.
I am aiming to do some cooking today but have to nip to the egg farm and Waitrose before I can start.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞Northampton, a dry fine day forecast, but clouding over this afternoon.
A lazy morning yesterday, then cut the back grass in the afternoon, and then sat on the patio with a drink (Aperol Spritz) and the newspapers. Enjoyed a nice roast chicken dinner.
Washing to hang out, then yoga, and must remember to post my two nieces' (who are sisters) birthday cards. Will cut the front grass after lunch.
Nothing else planned for today, except cold roast chicken and herbed new potatoes for dinner.
Have a pleasant day everyone.
Good morning from a grey W Kent. I am off today to make jam with GD1. It is years since I have made any so fingers crossed. I have chosen raspberry which I reckon is easy to do so fingers crossed.
Happy holiday pantglas
Best wishes to all
Good morning from a sunny South Downs.
Nothing planned today except pottering.
Waiting for our son to get back to say who will be coming to the restaurant on Saturday - he shares a birthday with his father. If he leaves it much later it will be booked up.
I put most of the bird feeders under a holly tree as it gives the birds year round cover, but the problem is that they have trampled all the plants underneath, and now I have bare earth. Must rethink. Something robust is needed.
Enjoy this lovely early autumn day all.
Peace and harmony
Enjoy your trip away Brook. It sounds idyllic.
So sorry about your ear problem Stilllearning. I hope the antibiotics can start and work soon. Sending hugs xx
Good morning from a cooler but very pleasant Suffolk. We had a lovely time with DS and family yesterday and they ‘ cleared the decks’ as my dear mum used to say.
DGS3 had tested the damsons before they came into the house and thought they weren’t quite ready to eat. After lunch he gathered a huge bagful of apples and remembered from last year how to slightly twist the stalks to pick them. Our dog and theirs had a wonderful time chasing around so a good time was had by all.
A quieter day for us today. I think I can no longer ignore the ironing pile. Hope today is a good one for all and those unwell or worried find some relief.
Good morning from a grey Glasgow!
After the busyness of very successful 90th party and the departure of DS1 and family back to Dubai I am ready for a quiet ish week!
My DGD turns 8 today so we had a wee Connie Caterpillar celebration before they went to the airport. So hard never seeing her on her actual birthday but c’est la vie!
I have a tumble dryer being delivered this morning and a hospital appt this afternoon but still a quiet day!
Enjoy whatever ur doing!
Hope Marydoll has a better day than night 🥰
Morning, 14 and high cloud in S Hants, safe journeys to Pantglas and brook have a great time away both.
Voluntary phone today and quiz tonight.
Have a gentle day all.

Good morning from a dull and cloudy Black Country, after a sunny day yesterday, so we had a BBQ in the evening.
This morning is back to normality with my regular walking group walk, then home, quick lunch and off to Line Dancing with my friend.
Wishing you all the best day possible.
Happy holidaybrook and Pantglas and thank you Grammaretto
Good morning all from Severnside where it is dull.
Washing to do along with folding clothes and some sewing for me today.
After an hour of weeding my path yesterday I can now see it properly. I then sat outside reading and unpicking some cushion covers. It was very quiet as neighbour’s either side are away. Not that they are noisy when home.
Enjoy your day all 🌷
Good morning from a dry and bright NE.
The moon was spectacular last night, I thought I would go out and photograph it but the street lights spoilt the picture.
Washing and ironing today.
Thoughts are with poorly people.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a bright but nippy South Yorkshire. I’m late this morning. I woke at four and contemplated making my coffee then, but picked a book up instead - and fell asleep again reading it. I will go out for a walk round one of our local parks this afternoon. They have recently reopened the cafe after extensive refurbishments (they were going to pull it down!) so there will be a hot drink to look forward to afterwards and maybe a piece of cake.
Have the best day you can, folks.
Grey and cool this morning so it looks as if summer has departed, at leas for now. U3A this morning, flower club lunch to follow, so an active day to look forward to.
Good morning from South Lanarkshire where it’s cool and cloudy again.
Happy holidays to those lucky travellers.
Stilllearning, ear infections are miserable and I’ve heard about the difficulties with your Health Centre, I do hope your antibiotics are in the chemist for you this morning.
Rest today Marydoll, sending you my best wishes.
Oh that’s the most awful experience Grammaretto, poor you. I do know how it feels having lost my own GD in Edinburgh a couple of years ago.
The following may be a little TMI for those of a delicate disposition. …………
I too had a wakeful night after being really unwell again yesterday with my new hernia which had swollen to the size of a melon. My abdomen looked like a lopsided pregnancy. DH wanted to get me to hospital as I was in such pain but I was doing everything to avoid that. I applied as much pressure as I could while lying prone and eventually I felt something give and everything must have popped back into place. The relief was immense but I felt sore and ill for the rest of the evening and night. Much improved this morning though.
I passed some time during the night reading some threads which I hadn’t seen before. The one about missing some posters resulted in some very weird dreams as I tried to find and reinstate them. Stressful 😬.
I’ll have a quiet day sewing this blooming everlasting hem.
Wishing everyone the best day possible.
Oh and having missed a couple of days of this thread I didn’t know that litterpicker had had an accident. I hope she is on the mend now.
Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast.
I had a nice, if tiring, time with my friend who stayed here for Saturday and Sunday. He’s moving house and appreciated the break from the packing up business.
We started off with a light lunch in our pretty village outside in the sunshine. Then into town and drinks at our best hotel and back home to a chicken I cooked earlier.
Yesterday we walked in the overgrown sand dunes and he ‘botanised’, he knows all the flowers and plants.
Although he didn’t have wellingtons, we made our way through a gap in the thick undergrowth, a bit muddy, but planks at various places, on to the beach, so fresh and not a soul for miles around.
I’m tired today, out of the habit of cooking regular meals and company. My gardener is due and the garden certainly needs it, it’s looking like the jungles of Ceylon…
Right, off to feed the cat next door, one of my jobs for a fortnight.
Thoughts to all as always🌺
Good morning all from an overcast Wiltshire.
Yesterday was very strange. It was quite warm but very hazy all day. In the afternoon I thought somebody might be having a bbq or had lit a bonfire as I could detect smoke but it was very quiet. Then DH read that the haze was caused by forest fires in Canada, the smoke from which had been carried across the Atlantic on the jet stream. The sun looked most odd.
Changing bedding today and dental appointment this afternoon. Gunpowder cauliflower and naan breads for dinner.
I hope Litterpicker is ok after her fall. I hadn’t realised that Susan56 was unwell. Have a good day everyone.
Morning all from Co Armagh,
I was told to be ready by 9 to go shopping ?? I’m here and rearing to go
I saw the red Moon last night and the red glow in the sky , very eerie
I think the Doctor is sending a prescription to the local chemist for me , no time for even a phone call !
In the meantime my itchy sore ears are very irritating
Have the best day possible my friends xx
A late Good Morning from Durham. It’s very overcast, but weirdly warm.
I’d plugged my phone in earlier and forgot to switch it on - duh!
Coffee with a friend this morning, then off to get some USD, a gift for DD2’s birthday jaunt to New York. I’ll need a birthday card for her too.
I really hope those GNs feeling below par are improving. Very envious of those jetting off to warmer climes too. Enjoy!
Best wishes to all. X
Baubles poor you. That sounds awful. 💐
Good morning from Hampshire. It’s my birthday today- 65 and I’m on countdown to getting my state pension next year. I’m in the group who get it when we reach 66. Friend got it at 63 and brother in law who was born the following year won’t get it until he’s 66+. Just wondering if I will get my free bus pass or whether they will stop that before I get mine. On a positive note my mother died at the age of 59 and I have several friends who haven’t made 65 so I’m grateful.
Happy birthday Puzzlelove 🎂🎁
Happy birthday to you Puzzlelove I hope you have a great day. Dgs2 is down for a nap. He's chatting away to himself but fairly happy.
Happy Birthday Puzzlelove 🎂🎈
💐 hoping all poorly ones soon feel better
