very LARGE Moon due Monday night

It was beautiful, but orange, when I walked our dog last night. I’m hoping the clouds will clear later on.

I’m not sure that we will see it here, either, as it’s quite cloudy and rain is forecast for later this evening. I forgot to look out last night, so missed it yesterday.

Oh no. I’m hoping we’re clear. This is the first year I can remember that I didn’t sit in the garden looking out for the Perseids ( was in a grotty mood) so I could do with an uplifting astral event.

It's very cloudy and rainy here now, so no chance of seeing the moon tonight.

I saw it too, while walking the pooch at 10pm. Lovely!

We were in the car, going up an incline and the moon looked as if it was just sitting on the summit.

It's usually larger when it's very low on the horizon. Last time they said it was going to be a huge super moon it looked pretty ordinary to me.

However, one night, maybe 20 years ago, I saw from the car the most ENORMOUS moon I've ever seen in my life. If only I had a camera with me. It was jaw-dropping, looked as though it would crash into the earth. If only I could see that again.

Love a super moon. Our 2 year old grandson was born when there was a super moon so very time there is one they take a pic of him being held by one of them looking at the moon.
We call him our lunar baby.

Such a touching scene when he ranks to the baby, as he holds him up to see outside.
