Clubbing again?😃
I must take a look at the moon tonight, sounds impressive.

Oreo similar, a friends 60th birthday party. A group of us girls left our menfolk at home and partied 💃🥂🙈

I’d have liked to be a fly on the wall😁

MissAdventure Mon 19-Aug-24 15:30:09

Oh I'm going to look for that moon!
I wish I had a telescope.

Babs03 Mon 19-Aug-24 15:36:13

Love a super moon. Our 2 year old grandson was born when there was a super moon so very time there is one they take a pic of him being held by one of them looking at the moon.
We call him our lunar baby.
Xx

Thank you, I will look out for it. My OH has a telescope, so he’ll get it set up. Love the story of your little lunar grandson Babs03.

How beautiful!

That reminds me of Del boy, on Only Fools And Horses, when Damien was born.

Such a touching scene when he ranks to the baby, as he holds him up to see outside. smile

Talks!!!! Ruddy predictive text.

It's usually larger when it's very low on the horizon. Last time they said it was going to be a huge super moon it looked pretty ordinary to me.

However, one night, maybe 20 years ago, I saw from the car the most ENORMOUS moon I've ever seen in my life. If only I had a camera with me. It was jaw-dropping, looked as though it would crash into the earth. If only I could see that again.

Georgesgran Mon 19-Aug-24 16:26:53

We saw that too Chestnut
We were in the car, going up an incline and the moon looked as if it was just sitting on the summit.

Humph - it's raining here and I bet it will still be cloudy tonight!

seadragon Mon 19-Aug-24 17:12:55

I saw it too, while walking the pooch at 10pm. Lovely!

It's very cloudy and rainy here now, so no chance of seeing the moon tonight.

MayBee70 Mon 19-Aug-24 18:10:16

Oh no. I’m hoping we’re clear. This is the first year I can remember that I didn’t sit in the garden looking out for the Perseids ( was in a grotty mood) so I could do with an uplifting astral event.

Ziplok Mon 19-Aug-24 18:10:57

I’m not sure that we will see it here, either, as it’s quite cloudy and rain is forecast for later this evening. I forgot to look out last night, so missed it yesterday.

Mollygo Mon 19-Aug-24 18:27:55

It was beautiful, but orange, when I walked our dog last night. I’m hoping the clouds will clear later on.

MissAdventure Mon 19-Aug-24 18:39:42

It'll be red tonight, won't it?
I read that somewhere.

charley68 Mon 19-Aug-24 18:43:59

Very cloudy here unfortunately.

flappergirl Mon 19-Aug-24 19:10:07

We're back to grey drizzle here in Bristol so I doubt I'll see the moon at all.
