(Its not a benefit).

Its nasty and deliberate scaremongering for a vulnerable group and they should be ashamed, there is absolutely no evidence for it.

No it isn’t.If you look at the link provided it’s a money and finance advice thing, a bit like Martin Lewis.
They say that so far Labour have said nothing along these lines but do their best to reassure and provide info.People ask questions and they answer.

I don't think they'll be happy until everyone is at loggerheads.
Setting sections of people against each other.

Iys pretty obvious that it's a bad way forbthings to be.

Thats what's happening MissA and I despise that kind of "stirring".

I assumed that the means-testing was just press-speak for restricting the WFP to those on pension credit. The article suggests that means-testing the actual pension would be a major undertaking and not a current plan. My knickers, like yours, MissAdventure are not at all twisted.

I'd be beyond shocked if they means tested the state pension.

I would put nothing past Labour at present.

I don't think state pension is a benefit. People pay in all their working lives so it wouldn't go down well if you were told you wouldn't be receiving anything.

MissAdventure Fri 30-Aug-24 13:54:40

Well, no point in anyone getting their knickers in a twist until it happens, I think.

No, I think it's just conjecture at this point.

People are daft enough and angry enough to believe anything.

I don't think I am daft enough to believe it but I may be angry enough to believe it after what they have been doing recently.

I wouldn't put anything past Rachel Reeves.

Does anyone think that this will happen and would it be the same system as stopping the winter fuel allowance.
