Good Morning Everyone,
Its a twilight start but dry at the moment in brackley ,after what I heard in the night rainstorms in earlier hours .
A easy day at home , doing the usual housework routines , followed by lunch and cycling on TV this afternoon .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from s somerset, yellow thunderstorm warning here for the whole day

An indoor day for me, any outdoors will be in my garden

Yesterday was a lovely satisfying day and I did a lot of sorting, nothing thrown out, just sorted. I take plenty of breaks and sat outside in the early sun

Sewing admin today, that will take all day but is being very worthwhile, bringing order into that craft. I am back and forth, upstairs, living room, dining room, bedroom

Sunday today so I started the day with my last artisan croissant, big and fluffy, I almost burnt it. It was lovely and so is my giant mug of yorkshire gold tea, it is the china mug that makes it so nice, such an elegant shape

Have a good day

Good morning from a deliciously cool, dark Cornwall. In a minute I'll venture outside with my coffee and watch the sky lighten.

Yesterday my eldest son, my small grandchildren and I had lunch in Wetherspoons' roof garden and my son and I attempted to talk about caving and beachcombing. Not easy with his 95% rubber-ball-son bouncing around; he's lost his first tooth and was very excited by it. Also he wanted to talk about atoms and how/why everything is made from them. 😆 Afterwards they went off fishing (see pic en route to the fishing spot) while my granddaughter and I came back home to create a collage from fabric scraps.

Today I'll do some sorting and reading and then pop up the hill to church at 4o'clock.

Good morning from Bristol. Barely light, but no thunder or rain yet. We need it though.
Poor dad and family were stranded in Calais for hours last night as the ferries were “very busy” and didn’t accept them on the booked sailing; theirs was out back for hours. They are spending the night at a friend’s in Maidstone before coming back home.
Church this morning, then my neighbour’s solicitor daughter is coming over to help me fill in the “millions” of intrusive pages required for probate to get DH‘a premium bonds back. He had assured me that he wouldn’t need it but…. Hey ho.
Have a good day all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a cloudy looking start in Torbay.

Early service this morning and I’m wondering who will lead it as we are still in an interregnum. I do miss our previous priest who retired at Easter but have enjoyed some of the sermons delivered by those leading worship.

A blessed Sunday to you all. 🦩💐✝️🥰🦩

Good morning all from the east coast of Fife where it’s meant to be a rainy day today
yesterday the sun really was beautiful my conservatory was absolutely boiling I was sitting at the front of my house to avoid the heat as it was much cooler there
I’ll be binge watching Netflix today as I can’t go to church my friends car is still in the garage getting repaired from a slight bump a couple of weeks ago. I miss it.

Hopefully I’ll be returning after my weeks holiday which is coming up soon.

Take care my friends be safe ❤️❤️❤️

Oh, and “white rabbits” everyone! 🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇

We're between vicars too Ash and it's amazing who appears each week to give a talk and the variety of them.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a grey, cool, wet South Yorkshire. We had rain overnight, but if we had thunder I didn’t hear it. Yesterday I did a food shop, and finally managed to clean my car. Today will be an indoor housework day interspersed with knitting and reading as it doesn’t look as if I shall be able to get outside.
I like the photo of your grandson, Mizuna - he looks an intrepid sort of lad!
Have the best day you can, folks!

Good morning from Malta where it is extremely hot and humid. This is usual for September weather so we have a few more weeks of this before, hopefully, some cooler temperatures.

The boys were their usual happy selves yesterday and I have loved these past few days of being so close to them again. Their mum arrived back late last night so they will be happy to see her this morning.

Saw DD1 briefly as she was off to meet friends for dinner. Her time here is always filled with lots of catching up with old friends, then she’s off to Naples to visit her cousin for a week and I will keep her little dog for her.

I’m feeling very tired, partly from the early starts but mainly from the heat. It saps your strength but I love to see the sun every day.

Mass this morning, chat with my pal in Leicester who will be arriving here on Thursday, so our next two weeks will be spent talking the hind legs off several donkeys!😂

Wishing you all a good day and thinking of those who are troubled.☀️

Morning from a dry for now S Hants with high cloud.
Charity day at our local yesterday for Cystic Fibrosis, we won a meal voucher for a local gastropub.
Imogen is 17 today, we’ll see her later after her cream tea, her brother is coming here after his football match.
Meat draw later and I’ll tackle the weekend crosswords.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

I am meeting my friend who occasionally behaves badly in restaurants for lunch today! We haven’t met up since March for various reasons. OH will cook himself ribs for his lunch.

Have a good day.

Good Morning from Durham. We are in for rain today.
A busy Sunday - I’m taking Little Dog back to SinL as I’m babysitting DGS2 for a few hours. DD2 away in New York, has been sending great pictures - I’m envious! I’ll go via Kwikfit to book her car in for tyres, hopefully Tuesday pm.
SinL is going to football, an early kick-off, then when he gets back, I’m picking up DGS1 for a sleepover. He doesn’t like dogs, so the dog stays with SinL and DGS2 overnight.
Complicated!
Best wishes to all. X

Morning Mick, morning All. Storm warning for our corner of Somerset. No rain yet.

Mr C prevailed yesterday and our large conservatory roof is a lot cleaner, other than a bit in the middle at the back that neither of us can reach. Suspect it’s the last year it will be a DiY job. A break for lunch then I tackled one of the sheds, there are three, best not to ask. The car is now full of half used tins of paint and other ‘useful once’ items ready for a recycling centre trip tomorrow. Wonder how long the shed will stay tidy.

Admin for me today, a quiet one for Mr C.

Hope Sunday is kind to us all.

Good morning everyone from Inverness, we’ve a clear blue sky and no rain in the forecast until this evening
A very Happy 17th Birthday to Imogen Jax I hope she has a lovely day
We’re off to DD2s again later, we had a good day yesterday packing up and sorting things out, today we’ll be moving some of the boxes to our garage for storage until she moves. The DGC were at their dads but I’m hoping I get to see them later!
Gorgeous picture mizuna thanks for sharing
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Gingster Sun 01-Sept-24 07:16:31

Good morning all and it’s dull here in Essex.

A broken nights sleep - a female shouting /screaming her head off for an hour and a half over at the station carpark. The police eventually arrived and spent a while there until peace was resumed. Oh for the peace of our seaside retreat!

We are off to db1 to pick apples from his many trees this morning. We’ll have coffee and a biscuit/small cake (they are very frugal) and of course Dh always comments 🙄. 😂.
I am taking our carpet shampooer over for them to borrow.

I watched The Commandants Shadow yesterday afternoon. A lovely emotional documentary .

Take care all 🌻

kittylester Sun 01-Sept-24 07:24:58

Good morning all from a greyish North Leicestershire. There is a yellow warning for thunderstorms today and our choir is, theoretically, singing at an event today.......on the lawn.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Grammaretto Sun 01-Sept-24 07:28:24

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Yesterday was wall to wall sunshine.

I was outside most of day, dozing and trying to rid myself of this virus I have.

Quaker Meeting here this morning but I may absent myself. This afternoon is Taizé singing and tonight a film at the community cinema. I shall encourage my helper to go and hear about it later.

Your day does sound complicated Georgesgran

I hope everyone has some joy today.

luluaugust Sun 01-Sept-24 07:32:34

Good morning from an overcast W Kent. Quiet day today with chat to DB and a Sunday lunch. DD2 popped in with GD2 yesterday and we had a good catch up before school restarts. Her DH has booked a very expensive hotel for their 20th wedding anniversary and she is so excited.
Happy birthday to Imogen
Love the photo Mizuna
Best wishes

NannyJan53 Sun 01-Sept-24 07:33:11

Good morning from a dull and grey Black Country. It was humid though through the night, I was so hot.

Off to caravan in Somerset later this morning. Stopping off in Bristol on the way to see MrJ's DD's who bought a house together there.

Then tomorrow, hook up and off to Weymouth for a week. We were last there 3 years ago, so look forward to going again.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

Redcar Sun 01-Sept-24 07:35:17

Good morning everyone from mid essex. It’s grey and mild, the sun is trying to find it’s way through the clouds.
After Friday’s problems with electricity, I realised that the underfloor heating in the bathroom wasn’t working, so will have to try to reset it today. First world problems!
Will go for a walk this morning. DD2 may call in on their way home from a weekend in Suffolk. Otherwise nothing planned.
Hope today is good for everyone.

Grandmabatty Sun 01-Sept-24 07:41:48

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° with partial cloud. Happy birthday to Imogen. I hope she has a lovely day.
Yesterday was busy but quiet, if that makes sense. Housework, some gardening, shopping for food. My neighbour popped by with a bag of home grown potatoes for me from their allotment and we had a chat.
Today will be quiet again. I'll do the ironing that I didn't get round to yesterday and visit mum later. I might make more lime curd for Dsil. Dinner will be a chicken and cider casserole done in the slow cooker with dumplings. It'll do me a couple of days. Have a good day all.

Blossoming Sun 01-Sept-24 07:47:28

Good morning from sunny Lancashire.

Today will be a restful day for me. Have a peaceful Sunday all, wishimg you health and happiness.🌻

RosesandLilac Sun 01-Sept-24 08:10:27

Good morning from a cool and cloudy hillside in south Glos where rain is forecast for most of the day.
I enjoyed sorting out a border yesterday now that the magnolia trunk has been removed, it’s looking much better, hopefully the roses that had been struggling will perk up. I will heavily mulch them once I’ve planted all the bulbs and there’s been a good soaking.
I spent sometime sorting out my needlework bits and pieces so I now know where everything is. When the summerhouse eventually gets finished (🤷🏼‍♀️🙄😵‍💫) I will move my needlework there.
Today, because I slept badly, I hope DH will walk the dog while I make a cottage pie for dinner.
Have a lovely day everyone 🌹
