Good morning from West Sussex where it has been raining and the garden looks happy 🙂
We went to Brighton (western edge) yesterday to visit DD1 and DD3 who live within a mile of each other. They are both having major work done on their houses - DD3 has an almost completed new kitchen, big new window/sliding door out to the garden and downstairs loo. It all looks great. They also had chimney breast removed so more space in bedroom and kitchen. GDDs were full of excitement and got their dad, uncle and big cousins involved in garden games while DH and I caught up with DDs recent trip to see her sister in Scotland. It was gently autumnal with apples ripening on the old apple tree and crab apples glowing on the recently planted young tree.
That was the first ‘day out’ I’ve had since my head injury (3 weeks ago) and it was lovely. I fell asleep on the sofa when I got home but no ill effects apart from tiredness. I don’t know whether I will have any follow up from the hospital but I will go and see my GP in another week (if I can get an appointment).
I have a list of ‘small’ jobs to do today - clean out the cupboards in our small campervan, finish the dusting and sorting in DH’s study and do some much neglected mending.
Hope all who had bad nights survive the day. Hope your injection is just taking its time to help your knee, Ash.
