It’s marketing ploys and people fall for it.

Not if you take advantage to buy something you were going to buy anyway but get it cheaper than it is elsewhere, it’s just sensible shopping then.

Presumably they want to maintain their profit margins so we must all be paying a little bit more for everything else to fund these deals.

We shop in Morrisons and have a 'more card'.
They have also started to reduce items if you scan this card.
Items change each week.
Last week I bought Gillette razors for DH full price was £8.99 I purchased for £4.
Kenco coffee was £7 I got for £5.
I don't know when they started this, I only noticed last week.

I assume they do it to get lots of information on our buying habits. Data is valuable.

I hate the discounts on these cards, I wish they'd just do a fair price for everyone. I'm sick of needing to have cards for Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Boots etc but well done on the Sunday dinner, it does sound a bargain.

I don’t see that it is unless you buy lots of other things at full price. A leg of lamb is £20 in Iceland so which ever way you look at it it was a bargain and I will be looking for one tomorrow when we do our shopping.

That’s good value. Nectar card savings are often good, I always look out for them. I got a lovely furry heated throw a couple of weeks ago for £45, originally £103.

I picked up a half leg of lamb and thought there must be a mistake on the label - £7.33 with Nectar card, £14.67! without. And there were others the same.

No problem at the self checkout - it went through at £7.33.
So that’s our Sunday dinner sorted.🙂
