Just curious if everyone has a favourite chair, what it is and why :-) I mentioned on another thread I've been looking for a new chair. Haven't decided on anything yet but probably will soon.

escaped

I have a favourite one in the study. Its made with cuts of plush material, and is unique.
Only trouble is, it has been hijacked.

Great chair! It appears to have a bear cub in it😲

So many lovely chairs :-) I meant both really - favourite and/or most comfortable. Which probably go together smile.

It's so lovely seeing and hearing about all these chairs. I've been looking around for a new one since we got rid of a big sofa so getting some nice ideas here!

A nice comfy sofa. I'm sat in a very uncomfortable armchair as my sofa went to the recycling centre today because our new sofa is coming tomorrow. Can't come soon enough this chair is falling apart.

Mine is the right hand side of our three seater.
Got my cushions and blankets on there just as I like.
A side table to the right and the coffee table in front of me for my stuff.
The dog has the middle bit with his blankets, cushion and chews.
Then my dd has the left hand side with the same arrangement as mine but opposite.
Nobody uses the two seater.
Well dd did use it for about three weeks after she saw a spider in her spot, but she’s over it now and she’s back. I thought she may stay on the two seater because she could put her feet up but no.
I think the coffee table was just a tad out of reach so she didn’t like the stretch.
We could have moved it nearer to her but then I would have had to stretch. So no.

I used to swap between a 3 seater and a two seater :-)

Any more favourite chairs? :-) I've seen one with a powered footrest in a sale, but it's cream leather. OH says that's ok it can be washed. But I think it will need a lot of regular cleaning and I'm trying to make life easier!

I absolutely love my two seater covered settee which I sit on in the evenings to do my tatting while watching tv. My ex husband and I bought it, along with a 3 seater, nearly 25 years ago. They were bought from my favourite shop - Multiyork - but they closed down after the pandemic. They are so well made and comfortable and not low, but I have great difficulty getting out of chairs, so have had them raised a bit. I know I will never find any settees as good, so decided several years ago to keep them and hope that they will last the rest of my life by replacing the covers and seat cushions every few years. I am waiting for new covers & seat cushions to be delivered at the moment, but wish I could have still bought them from Multiyork, as the fabric was always such good quality.

That sounds nice :-) It's such a shame when good companies close. We also have a favourite two seater settee that is so comfortable but was too low for me. It had very small bun feet. So we also put new legs on it and now it's a great height :-) I found these on Amazon - only £16 and now the sofa looks even better than it did before! Mind you OH had to drill bigger holes for them.

While I love the sofa, I prefer sitting in a chair these days so I sit properly or I forget and twist my knees.

Well I've found my chair. I wouldn't say it's a favourite chair but it's nice and it's comfy and only £50! From the British Heart Foundation :-) Looks new almost.
