Please think of the person you are telephoning!

Reading some of the replies saying pretend someone’s at the door or put the phone down makes me wonder if these people live on their own? When my husband was alive we talked all the time, now I can go several days without speaking to anyone so I know when I do met friends I get verbal ‘diarrhoea’. I try to control myself but it’s hard. My sons contact me every day but it’s via messenger not actual conversations. When I met other ‘alone’ people I let them talk and talk, they may not have a conversation with a person again for days.
