Good Evening lovely ladies. Sorry to hear so many have health issues. Sending my love to you all and those with DH’s illnesses. I’m sorry I can’t remember everyone who is struggling but I’m thinking of you ALL.
Yia what a long time in A and E, I hope your DH soon begins to feel a little better and your cold is bearable…
FGT….a lovely bracelet, I wouldn’t want to take it off. I have a necklace my DH bought for me and I haven’t taken it since he passed and never will.
Soop thankyou for sitting with me in the quiet corner , I only wish it was for real…I hope your DH is progressing well and will soon be back with you ❤️
Doodle sending love and hugs to you too…..
I’m trying to be positive and thankful for all I have but I feel broken some days and feel I have no future…..but no quick fixes for grief😢😢
Love , prayers and strength to all you lovely kitcheners ❤️💐

Thank you for all your support, especially of late. I greatly appreciate your patience. You are truly the best.
Buffet is open. For those who enjoy a glass of bubbly, there is plenty in the chill cabinet.
Enjoy!
I must away for a wee while. I shall catch up later.
Well that’s good about the deposit utbb everything crossed for the blood results.
Exhausting Yia, I hope you’ve got a mere sniffle, my cough is now abating, I hope the anti 🐝’s kick in quickly.
I’m surprised you don’t have a doze brook, must be tempting.
Pretty and comforting FGT, a good combination ❤️
Sorry NannyG4 I didn’t turn the page and see you 👋.
Your grief is totally understandable, easy enough for me to say, I’m not suffering.
Have you considered contacting CRUSE? An understanding voice may help as you tread this unknown path ❤️
NannyG4 sending ❤️ - good advice from Jax if that helps at all x
Not daft at all FGT2
How lovely that your mum can still give you strength and comfort!
NannyG4, sending you 💐
Hello kitchen people.
I listened to two very interesting Art History lectures this morning from the V&A . After lunch I popped round to see an old friend. Meanwhile OH was taking a heap of pruned rose cuttings to the tip. He’s now at his shooting club so I watched the Bake Off.
Sleep 💤 tight everyone, especially those of you with difficulties or sitting in the quiet corner.
Hello everyone. So good to see a blue sky this morning, laundry in the machine to make the most of the fine day ahead
A very pretty bracelet fgt, Isnt it good to have something mesnjngful close to us. I often wear one of my Mums watches, always gives me a sense of her.
Back to routine today after the eye hospital yesterday where I heard my eyes had been to the consultant panel meeting - without me. Always makes me smile.
It was a longer than usual session, arrived home after 7pm. After the normal tests and some extra scans with long, long waits in between we had half an hour with a senior doctor who explained the cause of the inflammation and fluid they can see remains a mystery. The tentative uveitis diagnosis had been discarded, the good news is my long sight remains perfect and there is stability, we were assured the very pleasant doctor was not worried, rather interested in the puzzle and ‘oddness’ presented. He was very reassuring and kindness itself as are all the staff. The really good news was no need to return for four months, it’s a heck of a day when we go there, we left after the usual advice to go straight to their A&E if I notice any changes. Sure would.
It feels much like the is it lupus or fibro debate, I’m not sure the label matters, presenting issues remain the same and can be more or less bothersome. Onwards now. Some of the bloods the GP ordered are back, nothing untoward so far. I feel guilty that I may be wasting NHS resources.
Must get ready to receive the grocery order, the kitchen isn’t as tidy as it might be. Looking forward to coffee with neighbours later, we always laugh together then after lunch some steady and badly needed dust removal.
Thinking of everyone, especially those in the quiet corner, a special hug to you all.
Just popping in to see if there’s anything from FGT. The BBC are saying that people are being evacuated from Malaga due to flood alerts, and I believe that Malaga is her happy place?

👋
We are cosy sitting on our little balcony SueDonim thanks for thinking about us! Yes, all morning we’ve had torrential rain, thunder and lightning but about half an hour ago the rain stopped.
Oh heck as I’ve just typed that a HUGE crack of thunder overhead, yikes!
Oh well, Himself has just poured me a glass of cava. “Salut”. 😁
We are going nowhere and this barman seems a nice chap.
Good to hear you’re keeping safe, warm and cosy FGT take care and here’s hoping the sun is out again soon 🥰
What an awful thing to happen SueD hope they are both ok,
NannyG4 💐
I can't keep up with all your happenings so will send my best wishes to all .
fgt I hope it’s stopped raining now! Safe journey home tomorrow. I wish I had some of my mum’s jewellery, she didn’t have very much, and my (late) brother took the few pieces there were and said he would distribute them between me, his wife and our daughters, but we haven’t seen them since. I suspect they may have ended up on eBay! I have lots of memories anyway, so will make do with those.
Hello kitchen people.
I hope the rain has stopped in Malaga, at least so Mr and Mrs FGT2 can get to the airport.
I visited my friend who recently had a replacement hip. She was in fine spirits. She ended up paying as she was in constant pain and the waiting list was enormous.
OH is cooking a fry up and chips for dinner. I will then go the Local History Society meeting about famous people from our village. Well, we’ve wracked our brains and can only think of one! If I tell you who they are, you’d know where I live.
I hope all is well with the Soops and Mr Soop is safely home.
Have a good evening.
The flooding in Malaga look awful! 🤞for tomorrow FGT X

Thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes in the Costa del Sol region of southern Spain as extreme rain and flooding drenches the area
National weather office Aemet has placed both Malaga and the northeastern Catalonia region on the highest alert for strong rain expected to last until Friday.
The Malaga area, including the tourist resorts of Marbella, Velez and Estepona, is expected to take the brunt of the extreme weather phenomenon known as a "Dana ".
I shall be relieved when FGT and Himself are back safely.
And they say it rains a lot in Manchester?
Keep dry, keep safe!
Hi all, beautiful day today, a brisk walk squishing the scrunchy leaves was fun, MrJ has been know to pretend he’s not with me 🙂.
A quick floor wash, then a long phone call with a good friend, we’re all meeting up in a couple of weeks. Then another friend rang, so I had to walk about and stretch my legs, ever mindful of circulation!
No news from soop I hope all is well.
NannyG4 a better day for you 🤞 and thinking of Redcar scooting along.
I’m hoping others who are poorly are recovering and those feeling loss are comforted.
According to the radar storms have moved away from FGTand himself, I’m optimistic all is calm.
Good to know that about the storm jax. 🤞 all will be well for fgt and her husband.
soop has been on my mind today. Sending love.
Decent day here really other than two phone calls upsetting my apple cart. Our Welsh friend was whizzed off to hospital after fainting on a bus on Monday, these ‘turns’ of hers are becoming far too regular for my blood pressure. The other shared some worrying family news. Life will happen, but you know I’d welcome a bit of a break from concerns now.
This morning we had a good old gossip over coffee with our neighbours, we always find something to laugh at. Feeling virtuous after removing dust this afternoon I thoroughly enjoyed wrapping some Christmas bits while Mr C inspected the inside of his eye lids . He was not asleep you understand
.
I really must try for sleep, it’s been noticeable by it’s absence. Hopefully a chapter of my book will settle me.
Wishing you all a peaceful night.
Safe journey home FGT and fingers crossed you will be back there together in the Spring. I understand that last wish as you leave somewhere you love.
Soop..sending you and Mr S lots of love and hoping all is going well for you both.
Has anyone heard from Dustyangel?...I don't think I've seen a post from her recently.
LlFL...now we are all intrigued as to who the famous person is...😂
Jax...scrunchy leaves just have to be kicked up. I loved showing my Grandsons how to ....along with puddle splashing and rolling down hills. I hope they remember sometimes.
Corner...I hope the book helped you drift off. It's so hard when sleep eludes you.
NannyG4 and Doodle...♥️
Redcar...I hope the pain is under control and the side effects of the meds have resolved themselves too!!!!. I'm not looking forward to that when the revision is done if I'm honest.
The hamstring problem is back with a vengeance and Soop painful. There really are only so many places that one can walk about clutching ones btm....but I'm extending them everyday....recent additions are M and S cafe...Dunelm...the local Garden Centre and I narrowly avoided adding church to the list on Tuesday while singing at the funeral of a very lovely lady whose Eulogy was given by her children and husband...they recalled all the things she had been involved in....and the lump that was already in my throat threatened to choke me when I fleetingly thought that my children wouldn't be at my funeral and speak in such loving terms. It was a hard few minutes.
Pain in the btm permitting I will plant bulbs today...DH's parents gave me a huge bag of them that they didn't need. I know for certain sure that as quick as I plant them darling pup will dig them back up.
My darling is home. Bruised and bloodied but in good spirits. His progress will be monitored for some weeks hereafter. Friends have been tremendously supportive. I have appointment with hernia expert in Glasgow and Mr Soop insists on driving me there. what a trooper!. Love and best wishes to you all.
Soop that looks so sore and uncomfortable.
Your DH must have gone through an ordeal.
I hope for you both it has been successful and heals well.
A beautiful day here today after early mist and quite a bit warmer.
I had my usual Wednesday afternoon with my friend and neighbour, she is getting very very deaf , I have to actually shout at her and sadly she is telling me lots of things which are just not true.
She will be seeing her D next week, the first time in many weeks and she is going to see a big difference as her decline is going faster.
Her S also hasn’t seen her recently and she is supposed to go to him for Christmas, her DiL is not close, I worry slightly but not my problem I have to remind myself.
As she left she said well that’s my socialising for the week, I am the only person she sees from one week to the next.
Age is a b….r sometimes.
soop pleased your dear man is back where he belongs with you 🩷🩵
His scalp looks really sore, fingers crossed it will heal well 🤞🏻
oh soop your poor DH, he’s really been through the mill hasn’t he. I hope that this treatment has been successful that no further surgery will be necessary. neine the pain has lessened now and I’m just taking paracetamol and ibuprofen. The other problem is resolving itself (I hope) and I feel a bit better now. I sympathise over your hamstring , it must be very uncomfortable and embarrassing as you can’t really walk around clutching your bottom can you! I’m getting bored with sitting around, just walk along the hall and into the other rooms a few times an hour for the exercise!
Have a good afternoon everyone, may we all see some sunshine!
Dear Mr Soop, such a brave man.
I hope he has good painkillers that allow him to be able to carry on his every day life as much as possible. Thinking of you both Soop.
My son is arriving soon for the weekend so I probably won’t have time to visit the kitchen. Have a good weekend, everyone. Xxx
I shall pass on all your good wishes to Mr Soop. He is very fond of his ladies.
